Performance:Does not work as claimed. Only extends wifi for a short distance.Best Feature(s):Very unstable with TP-Link Tapo wifi camera. Not sure if it's a compatibility issue.Value For Money:For the short distance that it extends wifi, a much cheaper and basic model would do.Seller doesn't acknowledge feedback and does not advise on how to return it within the 15-day return policy.

I have tried 3 extenders in low to middle price bracket. They all struggled to extend the network and still left me with areas of the home with no connection. All the walls in the property are thick making it more difficult to get stable connections. The unit is quite large, but well made and sturdy. It fit in to a double socket, without blocking the other as others have mentioned. Set-up was easy using WPS and the tether app that is available on Android and iOS. I really wish I hadn't wasted time and money on the other extenders and just brought this!!! I now have WiFi across the property including to the end of my garden. After extensive research, thought this was a good option for our home (price, trusted brand, etc). Tried a few different locations in the home and wifi range was improved, however, we started to experience 'freezing' on our various devices whilst online. Unfortunately, after many attempts at rebooting, relocating and resetting of everything, this issue was alleviated by unplugging the Range Extender. Solves one problem but creates a worse one. A waste of money...

Easy solution to reliably extend your wifi range.
24 February 2023

The AC2600 was easy to set up and eliminated dead zones 50 feet from the router, it did not always seamlessly continue the connection when walking between rooms on a portable device, the device required a restart for a clear connection. However, not for the first time, eBay sent a false offer for a significant bonus Nectar points offer, which did not function, this happened before a few months ago when I purchased a 200 mobile phone, that time it took weeks of wrangling to actually get the points. The annoying fact is that I could have got it at a better price if I had not waited for the one-hour offer window to open.

Extends enjoyment, too.

With a basement router location I couldn't get internet in the living room or on the back porch, both of which are on slabs. Set-up was straightforward and finding a suitable location was a bit like Goldilocks but only took an extra few minutes. This extender now lets us enjoy internet and tv viewing in places we would like to spend more time. The only fault I have is the size and brightness of the lights, which assists set up hughly makes the extender a bit too obvious unless the selected remote electrical outlet is readily accessible and otherwise easily obscured.

Great extender easy to set up
6 April 2023

Simple to set up: plugged it in the middle of the house, close enough to the WiFi router to pick up the signal and boost it. Pressed the WPS button on the router then pressed the WPS button on this extender. Done! Now have strong WiFi throughout the house and in the garden. One comment: The WiFi router we have is quite old and only has 2.4GHz. The extender boosted the signal without any issues but it also created a 5GHz WiFi network which at first confused me still good to know that the extender is dual band and will work at 5GHz as and when we replace the current ageing router for a more modern one.

Happy it works
26 July 2023

Bought this to pick up wifi from main house that is about 50m away. I wasnt sure whether it would but thought i would try it. So glad i did. It was easy to set up and works well. Only one small thing is that every 2-3 days i have to remove from power point and plug back in and reconnect. It is only a small hassle but happy to do it if it means i dont have to pay for another wifi connection. Happy with the purchase.

Superb! ...but a bit bulky.
27 May 2020

First impression: great.Setup was reasonably straight forward. It helps to download the app and it helps to know what band the network you want to extend is sending on (mine was 5Ghz only, prompting errors when initially trying to connect to 2.4Ghz).With that out of the way, everything runs great. Good speed on WiFi, got the PS4 on directly via the one Ethernet port. Works a treat. The unit itself is a bit bulky, so it will most likely block adjacent outlets. Keep that in mind and maybe buy a separate extension cable.Like with all these devices: it helps to have some basic knowledge of what you’re looking at.

Works really well, although setup can be complicated depending on your wireless security settings
20 January 2021

I bought this to use with a ZTE H268A NBN modem / router and a desktop with a wired Gigabit ethernet port. Setup to get the RE650 connected to the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SSIDs broadcast by my router was relatively painless, although I did initially have to disable MAC filtering on the router to get it working. The process to re-enable MAC address filtering again on the router was fairly painful because there were quite a few unadvertised MAC addresses used by the RE650 that had to be added to my router's white list. The RE650 also modifies the MAC address of wireless devices connected to it (eg a phone), so you will have to add the modified MAC address to the router's whitelist as well as its actual MAC address. The RE650 also modifies the MAC address of wireless devices connected to it (eg a phone), so you will have to add the modified MAC address to the router's whitelist as well as its actual MAC address. So that took a while, and required some networking trouble-shooting skills, but it has been working fine ever since. The bandwidth and latency between the RE650 and H268A is excellent, and I now have fast and responsive internet on my desktop. I can easily stream an 30GB blu-ray rip from the desktop to my Xbox One, and game streaming from my Xbox One to the desktop is very smooth and responsive. It has been on 24x7 since I set it up and there have not been any stability issues or drop outs. It feels like a well-made unit and is reasonably sizeable. For instance I have it plugged into the right hand port of a double power point and it does cover the left hand port as well. This has stopped me from adding my switch into the picture so I can connect my printer over the ethernet port as well, but an offsetting adapter will take care of that.

can't extend upstairs
26 December 2022

I installed this to improve the mediocre performance of my Optimum Wi-Fi and it does that, but not especially well. My computer is one flight up and the stairs are on a direct line from the extender to the room. It works, but only sometimes, dropping signal fairly often. As mentioned, it may be Optimum's fault (they sold the system promising it would work throughout the house but never did), but the result is that the extender improves performance, but not as much as I'd hoped.
