The plug in that cabinet did not have enough space for this device, so I had to use the washer's outlet (all is in our laundry area). That worked great.2) My new (December 2019) work laptop didn't have an ethernet connection (it was in the new docking station at work) and the old docking station at home no longer worked. I ended up buying a USB port replicator that had an ethernet jack. Works great!The 150' ethernet cable is used now to connect the wireless to the jack plugged in with the washer.I cannot recommend this product enough. And, we can have even all 3 PCs using bandwidth at the same time and experience no issues. We have about 75 Mbps connectivity normally if that helps you, as well.

Yet I only get a little under 30 Mbps. I then read the box itself and it says the Powerline Starter Kit can't even do more than 100 Mbps. So, I think this is false advertising and people SHOULD know what they are getting when they buy this product. I am not entirely dissatisfied since the product works as it is intended to. A great little set of two devices operating on your mains//powerline, one sits by yout internet router and one plugs in (in the same electrical circuit for reliability) near your computer/TV and supplies a Cat5 style internet connection. N.B. its not a wifi device, but a hard internet connection. If you need wifi then you will have to plug a wifi router into the power-line extender. The advantage is that the UK A/C mains is a low impedance circuit, less prone to noise, so you can use a bit of flat-twin-and-earth to distribute your internet connection, instead of traiing a delicate CAT5 lead down your garden to your home office, for example...

Pros. Inexpensive. Eay to use. Cons. The speeds are horrible. I have 350 mbps going into the house. I was barely getting 9. The manual says to use the same circuit. Well if the internet I need is not in the same circuit whats the use? Technology is promising but needs more research. Don't waste your money.
As described its a small neat power line and easy to setup. Some Facts from my experience in a New Build property of approx 1050 sq ft floor area. These New Builds have 2 socket ring mains split across both floors ( some up and some downstairs per ring main). At my router I get my contract 74mbps, With my master TP-Link plugged into the same socket ( downstairs) as the router and then connected to the router I can measure 74mbps on the TP-Link second network outlet. Can easily pair both the new nano power lines via a nearby socket and using the pair button functions, thus the nanos have the same network name and password. At the adjacent socket I can measure some 50mbps at the nano, happy with that. Then when moving the nano to the location I wanted to use one of ... Thankfully for myself I had a socket approx 4.5 mtrs away from where I needed the nano poweline and with a 5 mtr network cable run still getting near 50mbps so happy with end result.

So I had accidently bought two of the same product, my card declined the first and you guys sent me an email saying it did not go through, but automatically put it through when I had already re-purchased it which is inconvenient, but fine. So I ended up with 2. I'm going to be blunt, this product is low quality garbage. It works, I at least get a signal, so it has that going for it, but the middle light blinks, telling me that my walls have low signal. So I thought my room was just bad but trying all the outlets in my house brought mixed results. The same outlets would show as a good connection one time, and a bad one the other. Your product works, but did not deliver on its promise of 50 mbps, and inconvenienced me by like 30 minutes while I tried to get it to work properly. I love my Netgear one, and have no intentions of buying from Dell in the future.

A combination of circumstances (an up-tick in the complaints from the family about streaming to the TV, a price drop on the AV600 kit, and an order in process to Newegg for other things) finally pushed me into trying. So far, I am quite happy that I did. Delivery was quick (quicker than the original estimate, I didn't pay for special shipping), and everything was as ordered. I had the gear out of the box and inventoried in minutes (two CAT-5 cables included, although I didn't end up using them) as there isn't much to the kit. I plugged the two wall warts in without network cables at first, and that's where things got slightly interesting. The unit by the TV was the one that worried me from the beginning, since for layout reasons it was at the end of a 12-foot extension cord (a real, plain 2-wire cord, as that was the only way to avoid the maze of power strips behind the TV), but that came up just fine. The one meaningful LED (the install guide calls it a "Powerline LED", but it seems to be some kind of basic link integrity indicator) came "solid on" after about a minute, maybe a bit more. At the other end, my main router (not the ISP's modem, that's in bridge mode and I don't mess with it often) is on a wall right near my main AC "breaker box" in the basement. I plugged the unit directly into the wall at the closest plug, physically about 4 feet from the breakers (on an exterior wall, who knows where it is electrically, the wiring in this house is confused at best), and the LED (after a while, more than a minute again I think, I wasn't timing it), just blinked and blinked, indicating that it was not a happy wart. Out of a lack of other ideas, I plugged in network cables at both ends and pressed the "reset" buttons, but this didn't change anything. The TV end was fine and solid, but the "router" end was not. Out of shear desperation and not expecting much, I switched the router end's unit to a different wall plug (right on the wall again, no extra power cables or strips), one about a dozen feet away from the breaker box but on an interior wall (once again, electrically who knows). This time, solid on. I was expecting failure by this point so I walked away and came back after about 10-15 minutes. Still solid on. So I started digging around in my cables for a suitable piece of RJ-45 terminated copper (the new location was too far from the router to use the one in the kit). That took a few minutes too. Still solid on. So, out of the sheerest optimism I spent a few minutes getting the cable routed over and around the furniture, up against the wall, and then plugged into the router and the unit. Still "all green". Now, curse me for a pessimist if you must, but I wasn't going to take one LED's word (and a vendor's LED at that) for functionality, so I turned the family loose on the result and waited for the screaming to start. Silence, blessed silence. Or rather, just Netflix audio and nothing local overriding it. It has been like that for more than a week. And I get hailed as a "networking guy" for having been smart enough to look at an LED and move a plug. So, be warned. When this works it works well enough to stream video without artifacts (BTW: we don't have 4K). But these things are not "magic" and you should be ready to mess about a bit.

These are average broadband connections speeds, so these devices have enough bandwidth for HD video streaming or video conferencing. There is a utility software available which allows further setup and it reports connection speed. I've found that reported speed is doubled, it seems to be adding transmit and receive rates which is odd. Overall I think think these powerline adapters are a good value, ... The TP-Link AV600 Powerline Adapter is a little jewel for extending a wired Internet connection. Simply plug one unit into an AC wall outlet near a router and the other unit into an AC wall outlet in the area where one wants a wired Internet connection. Then, connect the unit by the router to the router with an Ethernet cable. Next, connect the other Powerline adapter to the device, e.g. computer, with another Ethernet cable. Now, one has a wired connection to the router. It works seamlessly by using the electrical wiring in one's building.
Definitely worked. Allowed me to connect a non-wifi capable NVR to internet without string Cat 6 through the house. It will not give you gaming or HD streaming speeds, especially if the outlets are not on the same breaker (If they are on different circuits, these may work and may not. Really depends on your home wiring). If the outlets share a common breaker (as recommended) just plug them in, hit the pairing button and BOOM you have internet. But as I said, my NVR is not designed for networking but with these I now have it on the same mobile app as my wifi cameras.
