Hooked this product up right after buying it, and within 3 weeks the product stopped working. All the lights are on, cables are good, I have 25 years of I.T. experience. When I go to return to Microcenter I see that it says it is "out of return window" really? Okay. I spent a lot of money at this place but I guess I can find other places. doesn't seem fair to lock out a return after 3 weeks?

Great product and impressed with it so far. Is on the expensive side, but not many switches on the market yet for 10G connections especially with RJ45 for all ports. Plug in and everything works as it should. The display lights are great as they show you what the connection speed is using colour codes on the port LEDs.

I had a managed switch and had too many issues, so I went to this one. It was so plug and play, and I get all of my 5gb speed and am ready for 10gb when its available!!! It works grest and see no issues at all! Thanks again!!

We have 5 gps Internet, and this works perfectly to split the bandwidth in our office without loss of speed. Much cheaper than most of other 10gps switches out right now.
I recently upgraded to an 8Gb/s internet connection, and this switch was the perfect drop-in upgrade to accommodate that. It runs warm but not hot to the touch, indicating decent thermal headroom for those who might be loading it up with more throughput (I only have 3 10Gb/s devices connected to it). I also bought some CAT-7 cabling to upgrade the CAT-6 cable running 100ft to the modem, but haven't found a need to actually install it yet since this seems to work great with the existing cable run.Beyond the product itself, I have to tip my hat to B&H for their consistent speed of service. Up here in Canada we have options for acquiring this kind of gear but even with the exchange rate and import duties, B&H usually beats the price and ships faster by professional ... MoreI recently upgraded to an 8Gb/s internet connection, and this switch was the perfect drop-in upgrade to accommodate that. Good Points: Excellent TP-LINK 5 port 10gbe unmanaged swich, silent no fan (the 10gbe 8 port has a fan so get the 5 port for silent)metallow powerlow heat2 large heat sinks insideworking great so far (2 weeks)Improvement Points: The 2.5GbE version is half the price.Cost a lot for unmanaged

So far sounds good, I get around 8-9 Gb/s. I have not yet tried to have multiple machines doing so at the same time but this is coming soon. It gets very hot and I don’t think you can put something on top. For a cheap 10Gb/s switch, it is just working. Note that 5 ports is not much: 1 uplink 1 to a slower switch, and you have 3 lefts.
I am getting up to 1000 Gbyte/s network throughput from my Photoshop computer to my file server. It feels like the files are local rather than across the network.- Make sure you use Cat 6E (for longer distances) or Cat 6 certified network cables.
