Not easy to use. Basically not at all useful.
DANGER! This machine has no safety on and off buttons. When preparing for sewing even placing garment under pressure plate the batteries must be removed and when you think you're confident then replace the batteries. It it so dangerous to use it broke my finger nail and drew blood. I could write a book about how dangerous this machine is. Even re-threading the needle make sure the batteries are out of it. Such a small gadget meant to make life easier is actually very difficult to use and will hurt you. It should be banned unless it is made safe to use.
Great size, can just grab out of drawer when I need a quick fix to holes in the kids clothes, etc. I wouldn't use it on thick material and it is only meant for small jobs but for someone who can't sew, I'm very happy with it.
The problem with this hand sewing machine is that it can only handle one fabric thickness - which makes this product useless on the basis that sewing is stitching TWO peices of fabric together.Do not but this product.
This machine would have been passable if it did what it says it did. For some reason, it does not stitch straight even when the fabric is fed correctly from the right. To make matters worse, the thread gets jammed after every four seconds of sewing. I am no professional at sewing but am not an amateur either and know a bad machine when I see one. This one is not even for those small sewing requirements. Not recommended at all.
The product is very simple and materials quality is not that great, it can only do one type of stitch and it's quite a challenge to get your stitches in a straight line with this one.And if you're not careful when using it, it might stop tying the stitches properly on the back. I had to open the one I bought to fix the tying hook inside the encasing just after pretty much 30 mins of use.Anyway, if you're okay to allow some wobbly sewing lines and doing some small stuff, this might work for you.
