My car is 21 years old, original paint, some sections oxidized. I washed the car and then applied the product using my Double Action Polisher equipment. I used a plastic knife to spread a thin portion of the paste wax to the polishing pad.The wax has an excellent fragrance to it, easy to apply and followed the instructions of letting it dry to a haze. It was easy to wipe off - no struggle at all.I've attached before/after photos - you can see the huge improvement between them. This product is a big time saver. Instead of compounding the car, followed by applying polish and then finishing the job by applying a wax/sealant - this is all done in one step. My car is old, so I don't want to spend several hours detailing it, this one product does all 3 steps - great ... MoreMy car is 21 years old, original paint, some sections oxidized. Rots in canister. Develops a horrible moldy smell… how does wax even do that? Threw over half away since it seemed to have expired. Doesn’t provide any shine on our black or white vehicles. Clearcoat, no clearcoat, ~no shine or even water beading. Maybe it works better on color paint jobs?

I sprayed my bike tank and panels with SCA Acrylic Lacquer Black, finishing off with a number of Clear Coats. Allowed 3 days to cure. Using Septone Cutting Compound the surface was cut it back to the smooth finish I wanted. It didn't give me the high gloss finish so finished off with Turtle Wax - Super Hard Shell Finish. Great! It worked well and provided that Gloss Finish.

For years I used high dollar wax. I know a guy who has been building custom cars for the last 40 years and he is quite famous for his work. So I asked him how do your paint jobs always have that wet look to them even after they are over 10+ years old ? He said I tell my customers to use good old turtle wax after every wash. I was stunned because this guy uses the most expensive products on the market for everything. So I said why turtle wax ? He said its cheap, it has a hard shell that resists the elements, it works with all paints, and I have never had any issues with it when it comes to re painting a car that has had this wax used on it. I was stunned because this guy uses the most expensive products on the market for everything. So I said why turtle wax ? He said its cheap, it has a hard shell that resists the elements, it works with all paints, and I have never had any issues with it when it comes to re painting a car that has had this wax used on it. So I went out and bought a can and first used it on my fathers Peterbilt dump truck. I washed the truck and used Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover to make sure that the surface was free of any grime. I washed the truck one more time and wiped it dry. Then I rubbed on the first coat of wax letting it dry and buffed off the haze with a soft cotton towel. I put three coats of wax on the truck. It took a lot of time but when I was finished I could see my reflection in the green paint job when I was finished and that truck was not that shiny from the dealer. Now here is where this wax actually saved the paint job. My father was at the plant getting loaded with fresh extremely hot asphalt. They had an accident at the plant and hot asphalt went all over the hood and the cab of the truck now this asphalt is extremely hot, sticky, and will usually ruin any paint job. My father got the truck out fast with a broom and knocked off the asphalt off the hood and cab. He drove the truck out into the yard and grabbed a wash down hose and got the asphalt off the body of the truck as fast as he could. He said that wax acted like a release agent and did not allow the asphalt to stick but the wax did come off. This wax protected the paint and hand lettering on the doors and hood from serious damage. I washed the truck again the way I described above and you cannot tell that the hot asphalt accident ever happened. I use this wax on all four of his green Peterbilt trucks and they look amazing and they are much easier to keep clean and looking sharp. These trucks get used hard year round and get very dirty from job sites. I use this wax on all the chrome and aluminum on these trucks because it does an excellent job of protecting these surfaces from the harsh work elements these trucks go thru. Also now use this wax on my black 2007 Harley Sportster. The bike has over 50K on it and I ride it year round its my only mode of transportation. I first use turtle wax black color magic with a few good coats of this wax over that and people look at my bike and say wow how do you keep it so polished out, shiny, and why does the paint always have that wet look ? I tell them the story above and they are blown away. Proof that a quality wax does not have to be expensive, have a fancy label, and even professionals use it. Thank You Turtle Wax for such a great product.P.S. Please make your Black Color Magic with chip stick more available and in more colors please it is also a great product. My custom car builder friend told me about it and again he has been building high dollar cars for over 40 years.
I am glad I chose this carnuba cleaner wax,it cleans and was easy to remove and does not leave a residue unlike the turtle wax super hard shell from my experience using it. All I need was to put a thin layer of the product on small sections of the car and wait to haze and buff it with a microfiber towel. After applying the wax by hand I am really impressed on the result I got. The car color difference was really big, from pale red to deep glossy red on not heavily oxidized part of the car. The shine and color was really impressive and my mom was also impressed when she saw it and said it was like brand new. It has been years since I used a paste wax and never achieve this kind of shine. Now I will make it a habit to paste the car regularly to protect the paint ... This was a purchase from a third party supplier on the Walmart site. As you can see from the above picture the wax is in a plastic container. It was mailed to my house in a plastic sleeve. There was no other packing material included in the sleeve for protection. The plastic cracked and broke during shipping. I managed to transfer about 2/3 of the wax to the old container. It was a messy operation but I got it done. Since they don't identify the supplier I would not recommend purchasing wax from any of the third party suppliers. As far as my raing of 1 star? They require you to select at least one star.
Used Turtlewax as a kid to wax my first car as that's what dad had on the garage shelf. Car wax was Turtlewax in those days. Since then and several cars later I've followed the hype, tried other products and now see $40 bottles of stuff created by "self - proclaimed" experts. Egads. Where was that simple, effective, dry to a crust, hand buff, work up a sweat wax that left behind a good shine and durable finish? I found it again here in the hard shell paste wax. Not so hard to remove as before, especially if applied right, but isn't that the idea? If it takes some effort to remove a few rainstorms won't either, plus in the process, you'll buff to a high shine. When I bought this, I bought a competing product at twice the cost. Ooh, big spender right, but reality is I used the new Turtlewax once on my 10 yr. old car and was impressed by how it looked and how long it lasted (don't wax as often as I used to). I recently bought a new car and used the competing product to give it a try. After one rainstorm it was gone, no more beading, showed water marks, and had a rough feel. A week ago applied the Turtlewax and can already see the difference in both shine and durability. This is a good product and I hope it continues to be produced with the same characteristics that make it great.
Classic paste wax. Turtle wax is easy to apply to a clean truck. I quarter the micro fiber cloth and use one side for application and the other side for removing excess. I find the second week using it is better than the first week.
I know some people are put off by the low price of this wax. We've been conditioned to believe that the more expensive something is, the better it is. This is not always the case.I decided to try this wax based on the glowing reviews and also because I remember seeing a can of this wax on my dad's shelf in the garage. I always wanted to try it out, but never did. I have spent a small fortune on other waxes over the years. I'm very happy I took a chance with the Turtle Wax Paste wax.The key is to not leave it on your car too long! It is a hard shell finish. You do not need to leave it on your paint long before it starts to haze. I used it on my black 1994 BMW 530i and the results were amazing! I was pleased to see a deep wet shine.Don't let the low price fool ... MoreI know some people are put off by the low price of this wax. The small applicator pad that comes with the paste is a nice touch also and spreads the wax on well. I will be buying more of this wax when I've used up the container. I have a feeling it will perform even better with multiple coats.
The car is a black 2016 Dodge Charger. Never polished. Clayed and waxed about every 4 months .Ran out of Meguiars, went to auto parts store to get more. They were SOLD OUT of all car waxes and had only two cans of Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell. ( I guess guys with nothing to do during the coronavirus lockdown decided to wax their cars )Ooh well. I'll try it.Washed car. Didn't need clay.Whipped out my 10" orbital with microfiber cloth pads. Takes a bit of wax to load up the microfiber. The wax went on nicely. Worked it in good with the orbital.Waited about an hour, it was 65 in the shade and taking it's time to haze up.Changed to a new microfiber pad and started buffing out. Definitely using this on the Vette and will use up this whole can on both cars.Tip?* Do use an orbital, you can get them at Harbor Freight for $25 and the microfiber pads are like 6 bucks.* Don't be bashful with the wax, you want the pad to be somewhat loaded up.* Pick your work area and quickly spread the wax with the orbital, then come back and work the wax in everywhere in the work area.* Wax the entire car.* Change your pad when buffing out. Buff it out good, not just a quick once-over.* Stop and dust off the pad here and there, fluff it up with your hand.
