Uni Kuru Toga Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm Green

The basic Kuru Toga does as it advertises, but if you write in cursive or find yourself struggling with thinner gripless pencils, this is not the pencil for you. I have stopped using my Kuru Toga as much simply because the erasers are tiny and advancing the lead is a pain to deal with once the eraser cap is lost (which happens very easily, and a worn-down eraser keeps you from pushing the button enough), not to mention my wrist injuries and odd grip. If you need a basic Kuru Toga to get a feel for it or don't need a chunky or gripped pencil, this is great! Just is not quite the right pencil for me.

Love the color, feels ok in the hand.I got this for solving crossword puzzles - I frequently rotate the pencil manually to keep the sharpest edge of the lead in contact with the paper. So I thought the auto-rotating mechanism of the Uni Kuru Toga would be perfect. It's a great idea, but it seems like I do a better job at keeping the sharp edge aligned than the pencil's mechanism does. You can tell it's working - they put a little logo on the rotating piece that you can watch slowly go around as you write. Sadly, it just doesn't seem to have the desired effect. Maybe a slightly faster rotation rate? I bought two of these in blue and green and both lasted at most a year. One broke when I pushed the button for more lead for it to almost stab me in the eye, and the other one got lead stuck and I wasn't able to get it out. One of it's features was that it can twist the lead as you write so that your writing is always sharp. However, I didn't found this to be the case as they just didn't twist at all. wonderful pencil! I have used it for years. the only flaw of this pencil is that its made from plastic, and if you're as clumsy as me, it could crack, which happened in my case. otherwise I would definitely recommend it. its not too thin nor too big, just perfect

Like others, I bought this mec-pen because of the rotating lead feature. What I didn't expect was to love it so much! I've used other mec-pens, but I keep coming back to this one. The bright green color makes it easy to find in my bag, so I can always have it at hand.I use this as my daily writing device, in a dotted leuchtturm1917 notebook. It doesn't smear at all. I'm left-handed, so using any pencil is fraught with the dreaded silver hand -- something that has never been an issue with this one. While I can faintly see my writing on the reverse, it is not distracting. It writes so smooth, and it never makes any annoying scritching noises.

I have fallen so much in love with these rotating mechanical pencils! I bought a couple for my niece and dad right after. For about the first two weeks I was showing them off! If you write a lot, I would suggest getting the Alpha Gel or Rubber Grip models. I have to adjust my grip when I use this model because my first knuckle starts to get a little raw and uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Even with the sometimes mild-discomfort the best pencil I have ever purchased.

I bought one of these just over 5 years ago and it still works amazing to this day. I've never had any lead jam inside. Quite a light weight but a very sturdy product. 100% worth the buy and very affordable.

Great quality

I brought this a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. The quality is great. Usually mechanical pencils feel weak in my hand. However this particular one is rlly good. It feels sturdy and strong in my hands and I love it sooo much.

Rotating mechanism works well!

i recently bought this for note taking and sketching and so far it has been great! I really like mechanical pencils but its pretty anoying that one side is constantly getting more ware than the other. Not a massive problem but this pencil fixes that. the build quality is also very good as well.

TERRIBLE!! DO NOT BUY!!

I bought this only 4 months ago, excited by the talk about the rotating engine. It did what it was supposed to do, however, soon, the plastic around the metal bit at the front began to crack. I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away, but it is clearly unusable. I am very sad and wish that l could replace it. However, if you would like a mechanical pencil, save your money for something else and definitely don’t buy this.
