The Kuru Toga Advance has a core rotation mechanism that continually rotates the pencil lead as you write. A spring-loaded clutch twists the lead incrementally every time you lift the pencil from the paper, allowing a uniform wearing of the lead so that it always remains pointed. The new W-Speed engine turns lead twice as fast as the original uni Kuru Toga for continuous sharpening. Every 20 strokes, the lead turns thereby always keeping the tip sharp and precise. The metal pipe at the tip keeps the lead from breaking and retracts as you write ensuring the perfect amount of lead is always exposed. The Nano Dia lead is infused with millions of nanodiamond particles and silicone oil, resulting in a strong lead that produces darker and smoother lines.

Recommended for engineering students and architecture students. Ganda ng quality at sturdy yung mechanical pencil. Yung body nya di mukhang cheap. If available yung ibang colors, stay away from white kasi imho yung blue or black is better.

Testing it a bit shows that its durable enough to withstand a good amount of use. A nice feature too is that the eraser cap is made out of metal, which feels better than the usual plastic caps on cheaper Kuru Toga models. The problems found in the Pipe slide model can also be found in this model, being:- Lead sleeve is thick- Wiggling lead sleeveI'll be honest, this pencil is an excellent version of the Kuru Toga to own, but using it after a while showed me that this pencil is essentially the same as the Kuru Toga Pipe slide. Maybe it's because the Kuru Toga Pipe slide is very well-made despite its (lil' bit) cheaper price and the increased usage of plastic overall, but I don't feel much difference using this Kuru Toga variant compared to the Pipe slide. In fact, I found the plastic pencil tip end of the Kuru Toga Pipe slide a bit better due to the contours of the tip that feels nicer to hold. The internal mechanism was also changed to an all-black coloring with only the symbol shown in a different color, quite debatable if that's a plus or minus depending on aesthetics. With that said, the addition of metal parts to the Kuru Toga Advance compared to the Kuru Toga Pipe slide is a nice touch for only 25 cents. Those who already own the Pipe slide shouldn't feel compelled to buy the Advance, but for those who are deciding on what mechanical pencil to buy and is new to the Kuru Toga series, I fully recommend the Kuru Toga Advance Mechanical Pencil. I have always felt that the Kuru Toga Pipe slide is a game-changer of a pencil that really shoves other mechanical pencils of similar price range out of the park, and I still believe as with the Pipe slide, that for those who are new to the Kuru Toga line, I can guarantee this pencil is one you won't regret buying.Uni, please make a metal grip version of this pencil!

The Uni Kuru Toga is my favorite pencil. I have been using the alpha gel versions for years, but nowadays, I tend to reach for this one more often (even though I still appreciate the squishy grip on the alpha gel for long study sessions!) This pencil is very lightweight but sturdy and well-built. The graphite sleeve keeps it from breaking, and the graphite inside is of good quality. My only complaints are that the grip is a bit small, so it might not be great for everyone, depending on how high or low you hold your pencil, and the cap on the eraser is a bit difficult to remove. Overall, great pencil. I'll never use a pencil that isn't a Kuru Toga again!

Came super fast. The material is plastic. Looks good visually but good is plastic. The issue of how the tip turns is good although it does not solve the problem of mechanical pencils one hundred because if you are to move the pencil in your hand, you will not always use the same part. The way it works is as described, it rotates when plotting with the pencil. The pressure for that turn is quite little, you do not need to press hard and you will not feel the pressure when drawing unless you do it consciously with the idea of feeling that pressure

The pen works perfectly. 20x can rotate the mine 360 °. The low pressure required for this is always achieved with normal use.Of course, the tip of the mine is a little bit flexible: 0.4mm in the axial direction, so that the rotor works and approx. 0.2mm radial. But you only notice that in direct comparison to a completely rigid mine layout, such as my old Pentel.M5-450 or M5-450T has fixed mine guidance. The mine guidance pushes back when it comes across the paper. This works without noticeable scratching. But you can also push the mine out to such an extent that it doesn't happen. What is not written in the Japanese instructions: It is best to drive in the mine by holding the tip up and pressing the button. And you pull it out while you keep the top down.

Rotating lead!I heard about this pencil through JetPens, but I purchased it elsewhere for a slightly better deal. This pencil does exactly what the description says it does. It's very reliable and consistent, which I wasn't expecting. Despite the generic plastic pencil looks, the mechanism on this thing is remarkably clever and works every time it touches the paper.I have to admit that I write mostly vertically, so the rotated lead doesn't provide me with as drastic of a benefit as it might for other people who write at an angle. But it does keep the lead evenly worn down, which is pretty nice.Another nice piece is the sliding lead sleeve. It protects the lead and you don't have to click as often. The clip is nice, the eraser cap is nice, the tip is nice, but the lack of a grip section is kind of annoying. It makes writing with this less enjoyable because there's no clear good spot to hold it.But the biggest pitfall of this pencil would have to be the wobbly mechanism. It works well, but there is quite a bit of play. Writing feels wobbly because the whole tip of the mechanism is designed to move up and down slightly. It takes a bit to get used to all of this, but I wouldn't say that it's detrimental to this pencil's value.Overall, this is a really good value for a cool and unique pencil. Good for writing notes or math homework. The way the lead never wears down to a sharp point is quite nice, even though it may not seem like a huge deal. It's also very cool to see the mechanism turning through the clear section.Wobbly, but fun!

Performance:Same lead protection as Orenz plus auto sharpening w-speed engine creates the finest line among all 0.3mm mechanical pencil. Can sustain a 0.3mm 2B lead without breakage at three clicks lead advancement. Lead sleeve retracts as the lead is consumed so you don't have to advance the lead more often.Quality:Plastic build. Light weight. Grip is ok but not great.Suitability:Optimized for writing non-cursive characters. Can be used in drawing with short interrupted lines.A "must-buy" if you are looking for a 0.3mm mechanical pencil
