I got this interface to replace my universal audio Apollo 8. Once you go universal audio you can’t go back! This thing is a work horse, preamps sound amazing. The best part of this interface is the effects you can use on the virtual mixer. The LA2A is by far one of the best emulations I’ve heard of that compressor and stays on my vocal channel at all times. You can also add input by getting a preamp with a optical connection.

If you're reading this then you've likely heard the hype surrounding the Apollo and are wondering if it's worth the price of entry. I'm here to tell you that it absolutely is. Its preamps match and emulate higher priced preamplifiers with incredible accuracy. That piece of the puzzle alone will save you years of heartache and having to save for something you may never get to purchase. The value is just hard to beat. Not to mention the ability to track with every emulation and/or plugin live or you could even to just audition them. At this price point you won't regret purchasing a Universal Audio Apollo. The Twin X is compact, powerful, and easy to carry around for mobile sessions.

Easily the best interface i've ever used. Came with extra UAD Plugins as well that just give my recordings an even more professional sound. I recommend this Interface to anyone really looking to take there recording process up to the next level. Surpassed my expectations ten fold. ive only been using it for around a month now and its changed how i record music. do keep in mind the interface get a bit hot when being used so try and keep it in a well ventilated area. other than that this is the best interface for a home studio

UA has always been known for their quality. I believe that s why I was disappointed in two ways. Before I list hose two things I must say the interface is solid and sounds great. I love the on board processing. I had to look up how to change between monitor sources on Youtube but all in all still a great piece of equipment. Now my two gripes;1. Could it really be that costly to add a thunderbolt cable so you the unit can be unboxed and ready to roll out the gate?2. Please fix the power jack port. Any play turns the unit off and with the port inserts for monitors and such other cables will undoubtedly come in to contact with the jack.

Just upgraded from a focusrite scarlett 2i4. I’m not slating those interfaces as they are affordable and accessible to beginners like I was for a couple of years.However, the Apollo is a real step up on all fronts. Anyone who has a few years experience under their belt and is looking to upgrade gear, UAD and Apollo won’t disappoint.I’m a Ableton live user but with the addition of now being able to access LUNA, I’m going to create in Live and mix in Luna where I can take full advantage of the DSP. Tracking vocals on this with zero latency in Console, while having UAD plugins running is amazing.

It's a classic! The UAD plugins are also worth it!The AD DA conversion is on par with nothing else. Everything sounds a bit crisper after upgrading!!

So far having this interface in my setup has been a dream. The quality difference in the preamps between this and the focusrite I was using previously is insanely noticeable... Not to mention diving into all of the UAD goodies (which are VERY much worth your time...). Been shopping at CME for many years now, and would be embarrassed to know how much money I've spent at this store...I have yet to have a less than wonderful experience! Looking forward to many more great purchases from you guys in the future!

Why Would You Buy Anything Else?

As a 50yr old songwriter, I often think back to when I was a teenager, recording my 1st demo on a tascam portastudio. Any piece of gear back then was just sOoOo expensive. Fast forward. I am now using a UA Apollo Twin X Duo along with Apple's Logic Pro and have music on Apple and Spotify that sound just as well recorded as the big named artists in million dollar studios. It's a GLORIOUS time to be alive and be a musician. Universal Audio has you covered from your 1st song to your biggest album. It's literally plug in (pun intended) and play!

Won't connect to my MacBook, have tried EVERYTHING and can't even get support

Overall:so here's me, a guy who just got his hands on a new 16 inch macbook and the apollo twin x, a pair made in heaven. now heres me 2 days with both of these things trying as hard as I can to figure out why my apollo has issues connecting to my mac? I've tried every cable, spent hundreds on them and then returned everything. I've tried to contact support with no help at all and the phone operators having nothing to offer, and I've tried everything reccomended to me online and on their website.
