I use this item on my hobby items 1/64 scale semi-trucks and trailers. It works extremely well to preserve the paint and bring the decals to life. It is very easy to work with and a snap to clean up after. I have tried many products, this is the best one I have found.

I was really pleased how quickly this arrived. It is excellent varnish, it worked a treat on the leaves I had painted. It does exactly what it says on the bottle it was really was quick dying and easy to use, it really brought out the colours, plus I did not need to use much to cover both sides of the leaf.

Use this varnish mostly over acrylic paints before applying weathering.
Very reasonably priced and works just as well as Liquidtex brand! I bought a little bottle to try and have already purchased a larger size. The satin finish is a good 'in-between' matt/gloss finish.
I'm not a fan of when a brand puts the same product in five bottles and markets them as different things, but that being said, this is a great Vallejo Matte varnish and it was the particular label that was in stock when I needed it.Brushes well, sprays even better, and leaves a really good matte finish to my eye. That said, it doesn't matter if you get "Mecha" labeled. Just get whichever Vallejo Matte is in stock or on sale. :)
This is the best brush-on varnish for miniatures I've used in over thirty years of paining. It goes on easy (apply in thin coats), strong as nails when fully dried, dries to a semi-mat with only a slight hint of gloss. Highly recommended.
Have tried this through my airbrush and also by ordinary brush and I have had no problems at all. It has dried to a good matt finish in both cases.No reservations at all in recommending this

A couple of coats over some acrylic washes and all's good. Tick box job done.
