Endeavor HD spotting scope is the most advanced piece of optical equipment Vanguard has ever produced. Endeavor 65A comes with a 65mm Lens and viewfinder with 15-45x zoom magnification. It features a retractable rubberized eyecup and impresses with its eye relief even at the highest zoom settings. Endeavor HD is also equipped with fine and coarse focusing wheels for quick and precise fine adjustment. The Endeavor HD mounts directly to Vanguard tripod heads (and others) that are equipped with the universal mounting plate without the use of a quick shoe.

These reviews have never used a good spotter. They used the same housing with the same magnification painted on the side as their other glass. So your zoom mark is at 15 and 20 , 30 and 40, 45 and 60 at the same time. They are to cheap to have it painted different for different products. And it is absolutely not water resistant at all as advertised. The eye piece locks in with a 1/4 inch turn and you can fit a credit card between the eye piece and housing.

This spotting scope is the real deal for a great price. It does have a little weight to it but that's one thing I like about it. It feels like it can take abuse. The clarity is unreal and just when you think you got it perfect you use the second dial to fine tune it and it sharpens everything up. Awesome spotter! I'd recommend to anyone

I purchased this as a gift for my sister and brother in law for their lake cabin. They had seen mine (swarovski) and wanted one (not as high end as the Swarovski) for themselves. I researched and landed on this one. It has not had extensive use, but it seems to have very good optics, particularly for the price. The double focus knobs are new to me but seemed to work well. I think that they will enjoy it for their casual wildlife viewing.

So I am not a "glass" expert, but I have been a hunter for over 20 years and have used everything from garage sale specials to extreme high end. (Borrowed of course!) Regardless, I think too many people try to compare all glass to top end glass. If this scope cost $3000.00 +, I would expect it to perform at that level. As it is, I got this scope, open box, for $250.00. What I will say is, this scope performs on par with scopes in the $500.00 - $700.00 range. With that in mind it is a great value. It gives me very crisp images and vivid colors. My biggest concern is low light performance and weight. I could see images a little over 100 yards away 35 minutes after sunset which is good enough for me, and I'm not sire of the weight but it is certainly not like carrying ... MoreSo I am not a "glass" expert, but I have been a hunter for over 20 years and have used everything from garage sale specials to extreme high end. Again, if you spend more you will get more. However, this scope outperforms its price point across the board.
I have other spotters, some larger and some smaller but this one seems to be just the right size for range and field work. Quality is spot on and fit and finish are great . For the price range this is a great buy and you won't be sorry. The only thing is I wish it took a T-Mount for a camera instead of having to but and addition to it but that's such a minor thing so it's not a deal breaker .
This is a very good spotting scope for the price. It's not the sharpest around the edges, but definitely better than many others I have seen. I can spot holes for my .243 at 400 yards and see where the bullets hit on steel at 600 yards. It's not as sharp at longer ranges as I would like, but then again, it might just be my eyes. Gathers light wonderfully and the micro-focus knob should be a requirement on every high-powered scope. One recommendation; don't skimp on a tripod. At 60x, everything shakes the scope; heartbeat, wind, touching the lens with your eye, etc. All in all, unless you are going to spend $1,200 plus and are happy spotting targets to 400 to 600 yards, this is the scope for you.
This is a very high quality spotting scope. I truly believe you would need to pay about 3 times the cost to get another brand of comparable quality. And the warranty lifetime no fault can’t get a better warranty! Great low light capability and great detail! Easily rotate objective lens to your comfort. Works great on window mount Try it out you will not be sorry.
...not only for the money, but for the quality and clarity. What a phenomenal spotting scope. Superb clarity, easy to adjust and focus, not terribly heavy or bulky like some other brands. The case/raincoat is super snug and while I haven't used it in inclement weather, it appears that it would easily protect the HD 65A. Don't tell anyone, but I've used it as a monocular a couple of times too before setting up. While I'd not want to do it all of the time because it would get a little awkward, it's still pretty okay to use in a pinch if it's the only optic you have around.
I have a mid-range quality 85mm scope and was looking for a smaller scope to switch between a car window mount and a light packing tripod via an Arca-swiss plate. The size of this scope makes it much more maneuverable that moving my tripod based larger scope around. The build quality of this scope is good. Eye relief is very great. The protective case is useable with additional modifications. The image is very sharp at low magnification and softens as you increase magnification. I'm not blown away by the image quality at the highest power, but I can still make duck identifications at 0.75miles under optimal viewing conditions, which for my purposes makes it a useable scope. I'm not blown away by the image quality at the highest power, but I can still make duck identifications at 0.75miles under optimal viewing conditions, which for my purposes makes it a useable scope. Sharpness drops considerably at the edge of the image and care has to be taken to center your eye in the eyepiece. It takes a little longer to fine tune focus at higher magnifications than I am used to. My biggest complaint is the eyepiece attachment to the scope body. There is a slight amount of slop when you begin to adjust the zoom. The dust sealing on the the body attachment is obviously poor. After 2 weeks of hard use, I removed the eyepiece and had a fair amount of dust and debris on top of the glass of the sealed inner workings of the scope. It was easily cleaned, but should have been prevented with proper dust sealing. This would likely eliminate movement in the eyepiece as well. Overall, for the price this scope I am very satisfied.
my expectations for this spotting scope were greatly exceeded upon unboxing & my initial use. because of the price (less than $250) i wasnt expecting too much but its comparable to scopes costing 3 or 4 times the price in terms of overall quality, features & functionality. its not a $4000 SWARO (like ive only seen in showrooms) or ZEISS but its only a very-small fraction of the ZEISS or SWARO price. i was not accustomed to an angled eyepiece but after a couple of uses i now prefer this feature. i also received a free VANGUARD TRIPOD w/ purchase that arrived 6 days after submitting the mail-in-rebate form!! the quality of the free tripod is exceptional as well. because of my experience w/ this spotting scope & tripod i am now considering the purchase of a VANGUARD ... Moremy expectations for this spotting scope were greatly exceeded upon unboxing & my initial use. because of the price (less than $250) i wasnt expecting too much but its comparable to scopes costing 3 or 4 times the price in terms of overall quality, features & functionality. its not a $4000 SWARO (like ive only seen in showrooms) or ZEISS but its only a very-small fraction of the ZEISS or SWARO price. i was not accustomed to an angled eyepiece but after a couple of uses i now prefer this feature. i also received a free VANGUARD TRIPOD w/ purchase that arrived 6 days after submitting the mail-in-rebate form!! the quality of the free tripod is exceptional as well. because of my experience w/ this spotting scope & tripod i am now considering the purchase of a VANGUARD BIPOD for one of my rifles. i would absolutely recommend this product
