Vans Classic Slip On Shoes - Navy

Bought these for my husband as a Valentine's Day gift last year. When he's not working, these are his everyday shoes. He has flatter feet, and he confirms that these are really comfortable for him. The only thing is that these were rough on the back of his feet when he was trying to break them it. After that period, he loved them!

"OMG, these toddler pure white slip-on Vans are the cutest! They are super easy to put on and take off, which is a lifesaver when dealing with wiggly little feet. The pure white color is so fresh and goes with everything. Plus, the slip-on style means no fussing with laces. They're comfy and stylish, making them perfect for any adventure. Highly recommend for your little one's shoe collection!

These are great shoes to wear in the summer with shorts! They are not only stylish, but comfortable and stylish. They are not as sturdy as your typical sneaker that laces up, but they can still be used for walking outside on pavement or grass. They get a lot of compliments! Because of the simplistic design, they will be in style for years! If they came in women’s sizes, I would buy them in every color!

Great vans slip ons and provides some nice height

Love these vans slip ons. So comfy and easy to wear. I have a size 5 and quite narrow feet. These were a little loose on me and not as comfortable of a fit. I had to use insoles so they were more snug of a fit. After adding insoles they are perfect. Just an fyi to anyone with narrow sized feet that fit ‘in between’ sizes.

Painful shoes

Shoes are extremely too narrow. I experienced an ingrown toenail within 48 hours of wearing them. The shoes are painful to wear and to walk in. The elastic will begin to tear within a month of wearing them. Cheap, painful shoes. I have no idea how anyone could skate in these. I can barely walk in them.

There's a trick to breaking them in...

I have multiple pairs of vans slip ons and I notice tons of negative reviews about how narrow they are and trouble folks have with breaking the in which compelled me to write this review. I have very wide feet and would have the same issue BUT...I don't because there is a 30 second solution to this: 30 seconds in the microwave. Yes, the microwave. A Vans store employee let me in on this little 'secret': Put them in the microwave alone, untreated, for 30 seconds - take them out, put them on your SOCKED feet right away and wear them for a couple hours. They mold to your feet perfectly - both the insole and the width. Do an internet search if you don't trust this review - it's common practice and it works every time like a charm (note: ONLY do this with the slip ons ... MoreI have multiple pairs of vans slip ons and I notice tons of negative reviews about how narrow they are and trouble folks have with breaking the in which compelled me to write this review. Given this trick of quickly breaking them in....Literally the only negative I have ever found with them is you need to do some work to protect them from the elements (even the black-on-black), which is a given...they are pure canvas after all. A good treatment or three with any spray shoe protectant that's safe for the fabric does the trick for the canvas. The outsole can easily be wiped clean with a damp rag (or a damp magic eraser which is much quicker/produces better results). I'll always be a regular wearer and huge fan of the slip on - they're comfortable, go with any outfit, and haven't let me down yet.

This is a simple shoe, looks great but size is tricky

I need slip resistant shoes for management work in an institutional kitchen (hospital, patient services). The first shoes I ordered were from the Made for the Makers series, because of the composition of that shoe, exterior was a kitchen work friendly coated fabric. I don't cook or serve patient trays everyday, but there are times that I help with production, so I need some shoes that will be versatile. The Made for Makers Vans came in the mail, took about a week to receive, not bad, but they were too big. I wear a women's 9.5-10 normally, I ordered the unisex size of 8.5/mens. Too big. Mailed them back, pretty simple process to return. Took a couple of weeks to get the refund, in my debit card account. Ordered the regular slip-ons old skool style, in size 9 in women's, way too small. I have mailed them back for a refund and am plotting my next move. I may order more of the same shoe in a 10, perhaps?? Great shoes but sizing is tricky. Guess I'll try to go to a Vans store to try on some styles and reassess.

Vans slip ons

Bought these as I wanted some nice trainers for holiday and seen this and thought they looked very stylish whether I'm just getting out the pool to slip on or if I'm going out. They really are smart and with a brand like vans you can't go wrong. I only did 4 stars as at the back where your heel goes it's like a rubber texture and caused me a bad blister but that happens when breaking in new shoes but maybe it could have been avoided if it wasn't rubber. Overall still very lovely trainers.

Why change them?

I purchased a replacement pair of my current vans EXACT same ones. Vans must have made some changes to the classics. There is now a leather material around the ankle which cause some pressure and discomfort. The material of the overall shoe is not the same as my others. They have no give to them and are tight. I already do up a size and still don't feel right. Very disappointed.
