I am more than pleased with the Versa Gripps Extreme straps. I sustained a forearm injury and because it was nagging for nearly 3 months it was negatively affecting the quality and enjoyment of my training sessions. I've never used straps on a regular basis and previously didn't see the need for them however after purchasing the VGE I have been blown away! I love how they enable me to focus on the target muscle rather than having to quit a set early due to forearm pump, fatigue, or pain. I love this product so much I made an Instagram video and tagged your company. Thank you so much for allowing me to continue my workouts and even enjoying them even more than before! They do exactly what they're advertised to do! IG @jt_pit(The only negative is I ordered an XL ... MoreI am more than pleased with the Versa Gripps Extreme straps. If an entire school bus was launched off the side of a bridge with nothing but a Verssa Gripp on the back, not only would all of the schoolchildren make it home safely, but the dangling school bus would actually meet all safety regulations required for daily use as a sight-seeing apparatus. Foreigners would travel days to see the beauty of Versa Gripps in action, with the knowledge that they will likely outlive all of human civilization and the age of the Earth itself. In fact, our best grand unified theories (GUT's) of physics predict that even protons themselves might decay in a finite amount of time; Versa Gripps however, are configured in the precise form to fend-off proton-decay, and thus outliving all known matter as we know it.

I've tried one off-brand grip but finally decided to invest in a pair of Versa Gripps Xtreme and these are one of the best accessories you can get yourself if you take training very seriously. The grips are something else as I don't gave any bars, dumbbells, machines, etc. slip ever. I'm able to focus on working out my back/targeted muscle without having to worry about my grip. The materials and its build quality is top notch, I see myself keeping these for YEARS. Also super happy to hear that it's made in the USA.The one thing I'd suggest to Versa Gripps is to not market these as wrist wraps/support. These do not have any support for heavy barbell/dumbbell bench. As the name suggests these are for gripping - for that, they are the best you can get.

Got these because I could feel my grip strength becoming the limiting factor on my shrugs & deadlifts (heard about them on the RP Strength podcast). These are a total game changer for pulling motions. I feel the target muscle getting a much better stretch and can crank out way more reps. I have incorporated separate forearm & grip training to try and bring those up, but am happy I can get much better back training done since that is my main focus. Much less finicky than straps. I found I can also shift my Apple Watch higher up my forearm and still have it track hear rate while using these.
I'm still within my first year in a gym consistently with a personal trainer and as I'm progressing to heavier loads it's important for my grip not to limit me. Also, I work in a healthcare setting where it is crucial that I maintain intact skin on my hands to protect my patients and myself from contact illnesses. The Versa Gripps are easy to use and provide a nice sticky grip so I can focus more on the workout and not on how long I can hold before slipping off. I'll use them intermittently so I can also focus on my natural grip strength. These were recommended to me by my personal trainer and would recommend them to others to help them succeed in their own fitness journey.
I had started experiencing concerning Carpul Tunnel symptoms affecting me both in and out of the gym. Regular workout gloves and wrist wraps did not seem to have any positive affect and my workouts were being hindered by wrist pain. My coach suggested for me to try Versa Gripps.I watched the short instructional video and headed to the gym. No wrist twinges or pain at all, easy to use and not cumbersome at all like gloves, wraps and straps can be. I also like that there is no issue in releasing the weight safely.Even before having issues in my wrists, my forearms would frequently exhaust before the muscle group I was working. Left my first pair at the gym, and sadly, but not surprisingly, they walked off. Have come to realize that I cannot live without these things, so a second pair was purchased.I have weak grip strength and these things are so helpful with deadlifts, curls, lat pull downs, pull ups, basically any move where strong grip is needed. I also use them to soften heavy palm lifts like bench press, barbell press, etc. They provide just enough cushioning for my 57 year old palms. The speed of setup and grip security make these the best workout related item I have ever purchased.
It had a strong chemical smell that lasted for days after I took it out of the package. Also, It didn’t fit- definitely not true to size. The pads around the wrist were squeezing my muscles, and it was too short to wrap around the bar properly, making it very uncomfortable to wear.To make it more off-putting, they refused to provide international shipping label for returns. I paid more than $120 to ship it back, and it was economy shipping. I was better off keeping it, given that the shipping cost outweighed the straps’ value.
I'm not a serious bodybuilder. I'm 47 just trying to get into good shape. I bought these because of Dr. Mike of RP, and they're great. That aren't the most comfortable and they are a little clunky trying to get the proper grip for the pull exercises, but once you do you're going to be able to do a lot more reps. My chin ups and pull ups are already looking way better, and its entirely due to these grips. Once I get used to them, I'll probably revise my review to a 5, but they don't have 4.5 and again, that mark is just for the unorthodox method of getting them into proper position for pulls, and the wrist area is a little off as for pure comfort. But I'm not complaining. More reps is more reps, and I love the results.
This doesn't look or feel like a premium product. The exposed foam for the wrist support looks cheap and makes an unattractive silhouette. The velcro placement makes it easy for the product to cling onto and damage my shirt. I use my phone throughout my time at the gym. I use it to listen to music and log my sets and reps. When using wrist straps or wrist wraps I have no issue transitioning from performing my last rep to using my phone. Wrist straps loosen immediately after a set and gently fall to the side. Wrist wraps offer no impediments at all to this inter-set transition. However, for the Versa Gripps, once the velcro is secured before performing a set it is difficult to rotate the product around your wrist after the set is completed, unless you unstrap the ... MoreThis doesn't look or feel like a premium product. When using wrist straps or wrist wraps I have no issue transitioning from performing my last rep to using my phone. Wrist straps loosen immediately after a set and gently fall to the side. Wrist wraps offer no impediments at all to this inter-set transition. However, for the Versa Gripps, once the velcro is secured before performing a set it is difficult to rotate the product around your wrist after the set is completed, unless you unstrap the velcro entirely. If you try to use your phone with the grip material over your palms it is very annoying and uncomfortable.I was expecting to experience a far better grip, but I don't really see much of a difference in my grip security when compared to wrist straps. The Vera Gripps are easier and more convenient to use when deadlifting or using cable attachments with rubber handles. Other than that I found no other advantage over wrist straps. The product is not a good replacement for wrist wraps when performing pushing movements either. The wrist support offered by the product is far inferior to the wrist wraps I was using previously. The product attempts to be an all-in-one tool, claiming to be the only perfect replacement for all grip and wrist supports, but instead became a physical embodiment of the cliche, "jack of all trades, master of none." The quality and experience of the product is not worth the price. It needs to be further developed into actual premium product, in look, feel, performance, and ergonomic experience. The only premium quality I've observed is in it's marketing.I won't be returning the ones I purchased, but I would appreciate it if you would send me the next model for free or allow me to test a prototype as part of the development process.
