The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger uses the latest and fastest technology to convert energy from a solar array into energy that optimally charges a battery banks. The SmartSolar charge controller will even recharge a severely depleted battery. It can operate with a battery voltage as low as 0 Volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged. The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger connects to a PV array of 150 or 250 Volt Voc and will automatically detect and charge your 12, 24, or 48V battery bank with current ranging from 70 to 100A depending on the model. The charge settings are fully programmable and can even be set up for different battery chemistries, like lead-acid, lithium and others. Second setup of Victron products I've purchased from BlueMarine. Purchased this 75/15 controller and two 100w Sunpower panels for my Four Wheel Camper. Just installed and tested, very happy, observing up to 170w/12 amps from this combo in OH in March. Also have the 30a DC/DC charger in the camper. You can also read my review of the 30a controller and 30a AC/DC charger I put in our toy hauler, also a great experience. It's nice to deal with a knowledgeable company that is easy to get on the phone if you need them.
I had some questions about this charger that were immediately answered in chat, and they were answered intelligently. It’s so nice ordering from a knowledgeable company. I’m using this charger for an Amateur Radio Field Day demonstration of a human power bicycle generator (with a rectifier and filter) and will add a solar power source for when legs tire. The Bluetooth app is really nice to compare power from pancakes and power from the sun. Thank you much.
Blue marine had a very good selection of Victron systems. Found the 100 /50 MPPT Solar charger at a competitive prices. Easy order process and shipped on time. Installed in our Montana 5th wheel and worked with no issues. Will look to Blue marine in the future for additional solar upgrades.
This is the 3rd vehicle that I've installed victron charge controllers in. They've been working nicely and have never given me any problems!
