The vornado definitely does as promised - if you point it at the right spot in the room you can feel a gentle breeze wherever you're seated. Finding this sweet spot can be difficult to get the hang of. It is much smaller and quieter than an old-school pedestle fan and nearly as powerful. If you're used to the hum and predictable swing of the old models you're not going to like the vornado. Good if you're renting as it is very compact. It's really safe for toddler fingers which is a big bonus.

The Vornado is an exceptional air circulator. It is quite and powerful. I bought one for work and then bought 2 more for home to replace the fans which only last 2 years. We like to use them than air-conditioning. Let's wait and see how long this circulator will last.

I Have two of these. They are brilliant very strong and sturdy. Extremely portable to carry around the house. I no longer use any air conditioning given it affects my asthma, and purely rely on this fan. On extremely hot days I just have it running on low all day next to me and I am comfortable and happy. I thoroughly enjoy using it and highly recommend this product to anyone who is on thefence.
Ive tried every fan. This is the best performing so far. It doesnt sound like a jumbo jet, its has great air flow and is compact. Its also a quality made product which is refreshing because most products are crap nowadays. Its not on a stand but I can overcome that. I didnt buy remote control one, wish I had of now but am very happy. I would purchase again.
Definitely worth buying especially if you have air-conditioning or a air cooler. It circulates the cool air throughout your house , the extra work the air-conditioning not reach. Feel the difference straight away. I brought one for my Son's house with a aircon in living room, but the bedrooms still hot, 41 heat it circulated the air around the house, and moved it around the the house getting the cool air into bedrooms for comfortable nights sleep. Saves your aircon overworking. My house not aircon but made a difference, more when nice breeze blowing, then shut up house before the days heat. Works best with air-conditioning.

In terms of noice it is noisier than a standard fan at full speed, but as far as I can see the noise you hear is due to the shear force of air displaced on high speed settings. At lower setting the noise is very low considering the amount of air it displaces. If your are on the look out for a whisper quite air regulator then you need to consider ducted air conditions or split air conditioner. Even then you will still hear a slight noise unless you are prepared to invest on acoustic isolation or sound absorbers, that will be very hefty on your pocket for domestic use. You will feel the ... You will feel the air move below your legs and furniture, drawn towards the fan. It works, of course it does not replace an air conditioner but yes does a very good job in circulating air- thus rightfully called "air circulator". On the contrary if you would like shear "air blow effect", I have not come across any other domestic fans that could deliver it like this Vornado. If you are a hobby film maker or a photographer looking for a blow fan and is looking out for a blow fan on a tight budget (will not get the same effect as a commercial grade) then look no further. Over all it keeps its promises and claims made on the package Ing at relatively realistic pricing compared to the Dyson blade less fans. I would say it could easy out perform the Dyson, especially when you compare the price tags and performance side by side.
The range and power of this fan is great. Better than so many of the more expensive fans thats for sure. We had a Dyson one prior to this, and this is much better. The only flaw is if you have it on a tall boy it doesnt face down. Fortunately the power and overall air dispersion overcome that issue.
I tested various different fans, however, Vornado beat out every single one of them. It's quiet, powerful and most importantly, exceeds expectations. I don't have air-conditioning and needed something that wouldn't just push hot air around. Where the Vornado is different is in its ability to circulate the air in such a way that is both cooling and refreshing.
Good build quality. Solid. Fan moves a lot of air for its size. I'd liken it to a 50cm floor fan except with a lot less noise. Instructions show you where to place and point the fan for best results. Read them. I have it in a 5*5mtr room. When I want to draw cooler air into the room I direct it at the upper half of the open door. Cooler air rushes into the room around the lower half of the doorway. I bought the biggest version for a couple of reasons. Max circulation when needed and quiet on lower speeds. There's a YouTube video with a direct side by side noise/airflow comparison between the large and medium. Worth watching.No regrets with this purchase. Get the big one.
