Been wanting to invest in this fan since been reading some great reviews from it abroad. It really uses the vortex action & not only circulates but also recirculates air, allowing it to cool all corners of the room. This can be best used with aircon (according to my sister) but since I don't have one, this is next to best. It has multiple push button settings that I liked. It also has rubber feet which will prevent unwanted movements while in use. The adjustable glide bar seems sturdy & looks durable due to its high quality chrome material. All in all, one of my best buys

I’m cheap. I do not love shelling out $100. And yet, after buying this Vornado, I’m another one for the baby’s room after being greatly disappointed by Honeywell’s Turboforce. When this arrived, I explained the Vornado technology to my boyfriend and he mocked me. I’m the one laughing tho, because this is the only fan you can feel from a distance. It is much more energy efficient and cheaper than a window ac. TBD if we’ll need one in the bedroom. For now, this is sufficient.

I am very happy that I bought the Vornado 660 Large Air Circulator. We have been having a relentless heat wave with high humidity. When I get home after work, I focus the air circulator at the chair where I am sitting. Even at low speed, the air circulator cools me down within minutes. After a while I need to put on a sweatshirt. What a wonderful feeling!! I am the proverbial happy customer.

I have used this fan for a few years now. The fan works ok, but over time the plastic front and base sections have changed colors dramatically and no longer look white. They are more yellow or tan. At the same time the back of the fan has stayed bright white. It looks awful, and is more noticeable in pn person than in the photos.Customer service told me since the fan is functional it is not covered under warranty. They suggested perhaps it was caused by smoking in the house, or pollution I don't smoke, and the solution idea is ridiculous. If you pay a premium price for a fan like this I expect a better product, and better customer service.
I bought a vornado from Bestbuy 20 years ago, and it lasted me for about 15 years. So when i needed a new fan, of course I looked for a Vornado and i wanted it from Bestbuy. Bestbuy has a nice size selection of vornados to chhose from plus i always get the extended warranty. I choose the floor model fan, which is my favorite. You can never go wrong with a Vornado fan, strong motor but extremely quiet and reliable. You'll have it for years.
Sure it looks small but it is the best fan I have ever had in my life. Nothing chills me like this. This is my second Vornado and it's not a replacement, the first is still fabulous, this is just for another room. I put this on a table in my bedroom not the floor so that I can have the air flowing directly on me, but it truly cools the whole room without needing to have it blow directly on you if you're not into that. Some might find it a bit loud on higher levels for sleeping but I actually like the consistent sound it stops other things from waking me (like my neighbour's music)
The Vornado 660 is a great fan. I saw that it was in stock at a local Best Buy and bought it there. The lowest speed is so quiet that you can forget that's on except for the fact that it produces a nice gentle breeze. I don't have an enormous bedroom but it cools it off better than any fan I have used before. I place my fan on the floor, put it on the highest setting and point it towards the ceiling (as recommended by the instructions) and I get breezes bouncing from all different directions. (I also have a small green metal one. I bought it online from Target. It works well and it's cute. I have had it for over 2 years.)
The 660 fan is disappoints on multiple fronts. Within three months, it began emitting disturbing noises, indicating internal issues, my husband spent hours troubleshooting. Cleaning it is a nightmare, with intricate parts and unreachable spots. This complexity undermines basic maintenance efforts. Moreover, the fan's durability is questionable, as it deteriorated rapidly. Its increasing noise level disrupts rather than enhances living spaces.
I have had the Vornado 660 Whole Room Air Circulator Fan for over a year now. I absolutely love it. It is different than an everyday “Fan”. It doesn’t just blow the air it circulates it. I can’t explain how it works but within a few minutes I can tell a difference in the quality of the air I am breathing. It helps the air to feel less stuffy and fresher. It adjusts the room temperate to a comfortable level. The Circulator itself is adjustable and stays where I adjust it to. Like I said I cannot explain how it works but it does.
Good build quality. Solid. Fan moves a lot of air for its size. I'd liken it to a 50cm floor fan except with a lot less noise. Instructions show you where to place and point the fan for best results. Read them. I have it in a 5*5mtr room. When I want to draw cooler air into the room I direct it at the upper half of the open door. Cooler air rushes into the room around the lower half of the doorway. I bought the biggest version for a couple of reasons. Max circulation when needed and quiet on lower speeds. There's a YouTube video with a direct side by side noise/airflow comparison between the large and medium. Worth watching.No regrets with this purchase. Get the big one.
