The binoculars are well made and feel comfortable to hold. The image is bright yet the overall size is good to be able to carry around. Focusing is easy and the eye correction straightforward.

Best budget pocket bino

Best value for the money. Reverse porro design provides the best images without costing as much as roof prisms. Vortex warranty cannot be beat. Plan to use these for backpack hunting and general viewing while hiking. If you need low light binos, you should get something with larger objectives.

Excellent value!

I purchased this item to replace a similar Bushnell reverse-porro bino trashed by my pup during a moment of boredom. I'm not disappointed! Don't expect these to perform well in low light, but they're ideal for my purposes, including bird-watching and hunting. There are better choices for star-gazing, but these are still helpful. Images are very clear and sharp, and dimensions are compact. I think it would be impossible to duplicate its performance at this price.

Great Product - Would buy again

I bought these to carry on hunting and hiking trips. The small size is exactly what I expected and Vortex brand lives up to it's name - just keep in mind this is their lowest product level. You are not going to get a $500 pair of binos for $100. These are also intentionally small which is exactly what I was looking for. Post it note in picture for size comparison.4 stars because the eyepiece cap fits too tight. I pulled the rubber eyepiece off at one just taking off the protective cap. This is the only negative.- Lifetime warranty; This is the only reason I bought vortex at this price range instead of going for a budget brand.- Compact- Clear view- Good grip- Able to focus to your eyesight- Feels fairly rugged- Comes with soft case

Great compact binos

I was looking for a compact set of binos to replace my old cheap tascos that I keep in my hunting sling pack. I caught these vanquish on sale and gave them a shot. They are much clearer than my old pair and most likely as good as you can get in this price range. Even though they're about twice the size and wt of the pair they are replacing.They will fit in a cargo pocket of BDU style pants but barely. Even with the larger size they aren't too cumbersome to carry on long hikes in with my climbing stand or a full day of sit and stalk hunting. I paid $80 on sale and feel like they were a great value for the money.

Great optics and great size

I bought these as a complement to my Nikon pro staff 8 x 42 binoculars which are just too large to always take along in my photo bag. The Vortex 8x26 are sufficiently bright for use in early morning and late evening when the light is best for photography. They are also light and compact enough to carry in a pocket or day bag when attending outdoor festivals and concerts. I definitely recommend them for folks like me who also want to pack them 'just in case'.

Great set of binos and awesome customer service

This is exactly what I needed. Perfect size…not too big not too small. Absolutely perfect for bird watching and any outdoor activity. When my package arrived, I discovered that I had received an empty display box shipped from a local store. A quick call to customer service and they had me a replacement located within minutes. A quick trip to the store and I had what I needed in hand. Five star product and five star customer service.

Not for birdwatching

This product is not for birdwatching. Not enough light enters; you'll find your eyes straining to see. Also, has small field of view.The recommended size is 8x42 or 10x42.. I ended up returning this and getting the Vortex Crossfire 8x42. It's so much better for birdwatching

Small but powerful

Bought these binos for my wife and to have sitting around home. They are awesome. We live on a farm with a 4 mile panoramic view from the deck and these binos are perfect to grab quickly when ever you need them. I own 4 different vortex optics and all meet or exceed expectations. Crisp clear view and all the power I need in a small light package.

well worth it

These are lightweight at 12.7ozs. Nice crisp images in daylight. A little bit of drop off in low light, but not bad. I can tell a difference between my diamondback hd but most significantly at lowlight. I am seeing nice images well after sunset and decent in moonlight. BHPhoto is the best
