We bought this blanket to take with us for our 3 month trip, it has been a saver on those cold and raining nights in our roof top tent. It has a timer on so we out it on 45min before bed and again for 45 min while we sleep. You can wash the blanket as well which is a must.

In July WA was much much colder than I had bargained upon. So the idea of a12volt electric blanket appealed. I eventually found one at the Busselton store. I had little faith but was really surprised the blanket heated my Rhino Camper bed sufficiently to get off to sleep. I did need to reset it several times during each night. My battery was not depleted despite running a fridge as well.

Run this from our 23Zero RTT, with a 12v extension cable (blanket cable is about 1m, extender from Super Cheap Auto is 5m), down through the side of the tent, into the car window left open a crack and into the second battery (behind the drivers seat). Has a 45 min auto-off. In about 5 deg-C weather, we put this on max 45 mins before bed time, direct onto the RTT mattress, under the top sheet which was then covered by the duvet. Was hot as balls! Genuinely almost too hot. Stripped off the thermals as we deffo didn't need them any more and slept in shorts. Put the blanket on low while we went off to sleep just to make sure it would stay warm, knowing it would auto switch off after another 45 mins anyway. To the reviewers that said it didn't heat up... I also had a problem with electric blankets doing this initially too. My problem was I hadn't put the blanket underneath the bedding. These things won't heat up an area, and only work if they are trapped underneath bedding/duvet. Too bad BCF don't seem to sell these any more but if they come back or you can find them elsewhere, spend the money! It's worth it. Even if the cooler months after mid-winter, using the 'LOW' setting is a real beauty. Also - the electrical plug disconnects from the blanket for washing and storing without straining the cable. We store this in a small Bunker Box from Bunnings with the cable and extension lead.

Very cosy mink electric travel blanket. I use it for my roof top tent, which turns those cold nights into a warm and cosy one. Definitely recommend!
Hardly gets warm at all. Tried 3 of them. Running a proper electric blanket off an inverter uses the same power for about 2x the warmth. This is a paper weight product.
I bought this to use camping but as I sat inside my caravan freezing I discovered it had only heated up at one end for about 30 cm. The rest of the blanket didn’t heat up. The 2nd time I used it, it didn’t heat up at all. My experience of this product was less than satisfactory. I had thrown the box out so couldn’t return it.
Great for those cold nights camping! Takes the chill off. Auto switch off function works well, and can always turn it back on through the night.
Great product works extremely well, the 45 minute timer feature is useful and the device remembers your earlier setting if not disconnected from the power source, great for repeat uses on those cold mornings.
I recently use this blanket in my caravan. You can get quite chilly where we were camping but this blanket was awesome I put it on the bed in the caravan and had it on low for about 40 minutes just to take the chill off the bed when we came in from sitting around the fire. Being 12 V and only having your on low I didn’t have to worry about it flattening my battery in the caravan considering the days there were quite overcast and The solar panels were just taking the battery over. Highly recommend this to customers as caravanning is getting bigger not everyone has heating in their vans so putting this on the bed into the cigarette lighter plug will keep you nice and warm. It could also keep you warm if you’re sitting out in your Annex if it is wet and cold. It would ... MoreI recently use this blanket in my caravan. It doesn’t seem warm enough until you climb under your covers. It’s great to to take the chill off winter nights while camping. A longer timer would be welcomed as it cuts out too soon.
