I've owned the cover for a couple of years. It is essentially a waste to use outside as even a 10 mph wind blows it off every time. I finally got tired and decided to look for a new one. I've always been a Weber fan and have found their products to be first rate. So I assumed they would have fixed the minor design flaw of the single velcro anchor by now. I mean, how many complaints do you need to get about adding a 25 cent fix to a $70+ product. Seeing the number of ONGOING negative reviews here about the anchors and the fawning responses from Weber about "passing along to designers" and "not the experience we want you to have" is a joke. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

(Disclosure, I have a Summit 600 Series so maybe I'm a bit biased because of their initial cost.)I was excited to finally see a Weber OEM mat as there have been many others out for quite some time. When it arrived it was rolled up in a tube which was the first concern, because expecting it to be thicker/sturdier. When I took it out my worries were justified, the quality and material was poor not to mention it took a week or two for it to finally flatten out with Summer heat. The other issue is I have a short-haired dog and this thing is a magnet for pet hair and doesn't seem to remove all that easily.Honestly if they offered two versions, a base and a Deluxe I'd easily spring for a more expensive higher quality mat. But this? Horrible, and to make matters worse ... More(Disclosure, I have a Summit 600 Series so maybe I'm a bit biased because of their initial cost.)I was excited to finally see a Weber OEM mat as there have been many others out for quite some time. Wow! We bought our Weber grill and cover about 5 years ago. At first, I was a little leery of the light weight of the cover, but five years later, it has no rips, tears or any significant signs of aging or reduction in performance. Our Weber grill sits in full sun, at least 50% of the day and has beautifully weathered the sun, rain, over 100 degree temperatures as well as frost. I would love to find out if the company that manufactures these makes patio chair covers out of this material. I have spent hundreds of dollars on chair covers that start falling apart after the first season. The Weber BBQ cover is an outstanding quality product!

Purchased a new 22 inch Weber Performer charcoal grill yesterday. To protect my grilling investment I purchased a Weber grill cover. To be honest it felt very light but it did fit perfectly. On my way to work tonight I received a message from my wife asking if the grill cover was expensive and at roughly $120 Canadian taxes in…I said yes. She said well it blew away! She did find it but we are both disappointed. I have owned a Weber Genesis grill since 2008 and am a total fan of Weber products and accessories. I have purchased….until now. I have recommended Weber grills and products and 5 people have purchased grills from this. I cannot recommend this product as it in my opinion (aside from fit) is of a quality that Weber disciples cannot attest to. I cannot recommend this product as it in my opinion (aside from fit) is of a quality that Weber disciples cannot attest to. A warranty is nice but is no substitute for something that you can believe in and see lasting along time. I purchase something, while it is nice to have a warranty, I want it to be the last resort. I want it to outlast the warranty and never have to use it. Don’t skimp and just make a product that when I open the box, I can believe in its durability and performance and this does not deliver on that.It makes me think about the other Weber accessories I am thinking about purchasing for this new grill…are they too going to be subpar? Has Weber decided to drop their quality for profit and just offer a warranty that hopefully doesn’t get used?
I love my new Weber grill cover (and grill) but they make it way to hard to find the right one with confusing brand and model names. Turns out this one is a new size for the genesis line only a few inches longer than the old one but you have to search hard to make sure it’s the correct one. I ordered one from WalMart that looked right and had the right model name but it was 2” too short. Finally had to resort to ordering from Weber site and it cost me 50% more. It shouldn’t be that hard to say “this grill needs grill cover x” in the on line documentation. I didn’t mind having to pay more but it was waste of time having to return the other one and having to search high and low to ensure that the next order would be right. It was a lousy, complicated customer ... MoreI love my new Weber grill cover (and grill) but they make it way to hard to find the right one with confusing brand and model names. I bought this cover with my Weber grill from a local Ace Hardware. The overall construction of this cover is fine and it basically does the job when it stays on. This cover has a huge design flaw in that there is only 1 velcro anchor to hold the cover in place when there is wind. Wind and rain protection is exactly why we want to have a cover! In even moderate wind the single velcro strap pulls against the leg and simple pulls apart. because the hook and loop are both facing inward towards the leg. Usually a strap like this would have the backing of the hook side against the leg and the loops go over it toward the leg to provide a stronger connection. Even when the velcro stays together the rest of the cover simply blows off because you really need 2 straps at ... MoreI bought this cover with my Weber grill from a local Ace Hardware. We have been using our Weber grill and Weber grill cover for 2 1/2 months now. The grill cover fits our grill perfectly and is a nice flexible material. 2 stars because I have had to pick the cover up off the ground and put it back on at least 12 times already. It blows off the grill anytime it is the least bit windy! And Yes, I am attaching the cover with the Velcro scrap EACH time. Maybe if it had 2 or 3 straps it could actually do it’s job. I noticed in your description it says “straps”. My grill cover purchased in Late April of 2022 has only one Velcro strap on the bottom. Disappointed especially at this price.
The whole point of buying this style grill was to maximize space. I have a small deck. If I have to keep the side tables up during storage, it defeats the entire purpose of buying a compact grill. If I use the cover as intended, my grill blocks my view of my yard. If I collapse the side tables, the cover is a sloppy eyesore. Either way, I don’t like the view. Aesthetics matter, and people need to enjoy their outdoor living spaces. Your cover detracts from that enjoyment. The original cover was the PERFECT size!!!!! Your customers have been asking FOR YEARS for a cover that fits with side tables down. Please manufacture a smaller cover. We will all be so grateful! Thank you.
Have owned this cover for 1 month and not impressed. Material is extremely thin and lightweight. The velcro straps are on the short side, and finding even when the straps are secure the cover is being blown off our grill by windy conditions. We purchased from local HD to replace an older Weber grill cover that was 10 years old and beginning to fray around the bottom edges and was badly faded. That cover was a much thicker material, had longer velcro straps, and never had an issue with it being blown off the grill. Not sure what next step is, but this one we just purchased is not working out.
I have the Weber Q1200 and absolutely love it. I didn’t buy it for portability but for its small size. I bought this cart because it’s the only thing I found made for the grill, but I’m not in love with it. It’s wobbly for one thing, and not easy to maneuver on my patio because it doesn’t have swiveling wheels. It wasn’t designed for my needs. I hope the folks at Weber will create a nice little cart for this grill for use on the patio rather than for camping or tailgating or whatever they had in mind when they designed this cart. It would be nice if it had a spot to hold a refillable propane container. I wouldn’t recommend it for regular use on the patio.
