Though our 45 years old fridge was still working we decided to change to a more energy efficient unit at last. Westinghouse fits the bill with its well designed features. The spacious and good quality glass shelves combined with the adjustable door shelves and compartments are what attracted us to this model. When you open the door the bright Led light shows how beautiful it is inside. Its also very quiet day and night. Very happy with our choice.

As the LG fridge compressor stopped working ( 2 years old ) LG were not able to supply the replacement component and told me that they were not repairing it but refunding / store credit our purchase. So we decided on the w house fridge. Hoping for a better support for its product warranty compared to the dreadful one if LG. Only sad outcome was the price of fridges had gone up so much in two years we had to down size to a much smaller fridge that wont really do the job. Being a pensioner I had no further available funds to pay the extra $1000 for the same LG fridge on the current market.

Within three months of purchasing this fridge the evaporator fan began to fail. Now it makes a significant amount of noise, so great to sit in my living room and hear a constant sound of a failed evaporator fan. What a cheap piece of garbage!What makes matters worse is you get told you have to up to wait seven business days to wait for someone to fix it. What an utter disgrace!

There are so few right hand fridges in the market, but we were lucky to find this Westinghouse that fitted our space perfectly and was spacious enough for an empty nester's needs.Unfortunately, due to COVID, despite the agreed delivery date being in July (I ordered in May), we did not get the fridge til September, and that only occured after I followed up (no communication whatsoever during this time). The first fridge arrived and was installed following the instructions in the book. Unfortunately after it had turned on and settled in, there was a thudding noise everytime we opened the fridge door. It was later confirmed as a badly welded door hinge and a brand replacement was offered. The 2nd fridge arrived in a week and we now have a thudding problem with the freezer door, but it's less noticeable then the 1st fridge so we are keeping this one for now. The fridge itself is good - quite spacious and has enough compartments and features to keep the parents happy, but the thudding (poorly welded hinges) is mildly irritating and to have two in a row shows the fault is with the manufacturer.

We had a Westinghouse with 2 vege drawers at the bottom for over 10 years. It was a dream to use. Replaced with this one which has a single vege drawer. This is the worst feature of this fridge. The drawer gets stuck every time pulling out and you need to bend over and use both hands to align it, wiggle the drawer to put it back in. Sometimes it doesn't go in properly and this stops the door of the fridge from closing. I cry and cringe. The thought of using it for 10 years fills me with despair. It's quiet. It's enclosed at rear so no vermin can hide there. Works well. Seems to be low on power use. Door shelving works well. Vegetable crisper gets wet & takes both hands to close ... irritating. Frustrating trying to get ice cubes out of trays. When the door is open there's an extra piece on the front of the fridge at floor level that juts out. It's a trip hazard. Generous size for just 1 person.
We were really happy with the size of the freezer and the fridge. It was nice and deep and can fit lots more in it than our former fridge. We are a family of four and we love our new fridge, We also had excellent service from the people that installed it. Very polite, prompt and on time and took the old fridge away. We will be using this service again.
Considering our previous fridge was 30 years old, this was a jump into the future! So many great features; generous capacity, ice cube maker - aweseome, temperature controlled grate. When first installing, it took longer than expected to come down to temperature, but now - all good. Cold beer - good. Storage for big fruit & veg purchases - good. And VERY happy with service from AO online, on the phone and in person/delivery dudes. And then there's the price - outstanding!
The customer service side of things as been very smooth and the delivery and setup was quick, uneventful and courteous.. As my old fridge was basically off the air and stuff moved out I was pleased that the new got cold quickly and could replace my goods.. Had to adjust temps over couple of days but now run the main fridge at 2 lights - a knotch below the suggested 3. As this control is digital not a dial hopefully it goes the distance as could be a drama to fix.. Its maybe an issue of balance and exceedingly awkward to correct once packed but the fridge door if not wide open tends to swing shut quite violently and I often have to grab and slow its action.. The crisper drawer close which some have complained of I dont find a huge issue.. Yes, it is a little clumsy but I find if I raise the front slightly while closing I dont have a problem.. maybe kids may have difficulty but I dont seem to.. Despite its larger size ..about 30 cms. I seem to have less space.. this could be caused by a large freezer space and two large separate crisper type areas.. a diffrent pack as get used to it will undoubtedly help with this.. I was able to utilise some of my old drawer compartments.. maybe for sentimental reasons but at the moment find useful.. I'm a bit wary of the glass shelves.. formerly were metal but I'm assuming that for safety reasons they are not as delicate as my worries suggest..
Very happy with my new Westinghouse 431l top mount fridge, had to buy a new one after my old 11 year old Westinghouse house stopped working, and I lost all my food .. however I'm more than happy with my new fridge, it's whisper quiet, keeps all my food cool and fresh, has plenty of room both in the fridge and freezer for my son and myself . Delivery guys were awesome, they carried my new fridge up 3 flights of stairs and took away my old fridge as well. I highly recommend purchasing this fridge, it does everything I want and need
