For the past 30 years I have been spoilt with what has undoubtedly been the best free standing oven that was made in the time. A Simpson 2000 60cm. I have been putting off the purchase of a new oven in the past couple of years due to limiting factors. My oven gap is 800 so a 900 which would be great would require a kitchen refit and that is not practical. We don't have gas appliances nor natural gas so again limitations. The ovens today, apart from the 900 are far to small - we have family of 17 most of who come for dinner on the weekend so oven space is mandatory and again I have been very lucky with the old oven space of 87 litres. Then the old one died and decision had to be made. I have never owned a ceramic top, I would have preferred hotplates - but it seems ... MoreFor the past 30 years I have been spoilt with what has undoubtedly been the best free standing oven that was made in the time. The ovens today, apart from the 900 are far to small - we have family of 17 most of who come for dinner on the weekend so oven space is mandatory and again I have been very lucky with the old oven space of 87 litres. Then the old one died and decision had to be made. I have never owned a ceramic top, I would have preferred hotplates - but it seems they are not made in the 600. After looking around the Westinghouse WFE647SA kept coming up for looks and functions in the reviews. So I took the plunge and purchased it from Appliances on Line. They were the only ones who seemed to have any in stock - The GoodGuys rang the supplier and they were totally out so I purchased from AOL. Fantastic service with sale and delivery - fautless. The oven looked great, as with all ovens they only come with 2 racks so I kept some of my old 600 racks to fill the gap and that is when you see the massive difference in oven capacity. The new 60cm oven is only 80litres and the old shelves are about 5 cm wider than this oven - I felt devestated as my cooking trays to feed my family no longer fit in this "little oven".However, this is something I will have to live with and the other features on the oven outweigh it (almost!. ) The hotplates are fast and efficient. The reason I prefer electric hotplates to gas is the heat retention after you turn it off. When you turn gas off the heat is instantly gone. The heat retention after switched off is shown by a light on the top which is fantastic, this light can be on for sometime 15 minutes after. Only slightly but it shows the power. I have tested the oven for heat accuracy and for as precise as 175 can be found on the dial, it seems to be pretty spot on. I am not sure how to describe the heat but things don't seem to crisp up. It cooks but roast spuds don't crisp. The other thing we have all noticed is that as soon as the food comes out of the oven and goes straight onto the plate it is cold. This is something I am going to really watch and test.I looked at all videos on cleaning the ceramic top showing how to use the ceramic cleansers and don't use anything scratchy, it even comes with a blunt scraper to clean spillages! Don't use it. My strong recommendation is get a product called Ekoworx. This is a not toxic, natural product (Google and check it out yourself). This is the most amazing product to use on your oven and keeps it spotless. It dissolves fats, so as soon as the top cools down you spray and wipe with a soft cloth. Spillages take maybe 2 or 3 sprays, just leave it to dissolve and then you wipe it off. It sparkles all the stainless and wipes the oven clean after use especially a roast - without any chemicals involved. Without this product your stove will very quickly become spotty and dirty.Overall I am extremely happy with the functions and the look of the stove. I like the way the light turns on when you turn the oven on. Would I recommend it - yes.

I've always liked Appliances on line so elected to purchase a new stove for my country house. Price includes installation so quote was excellent. The stove arrived as expected but then the deliverer announces cannot do install. Days they don't send an electrician out this far. So it added $200 to the price.Very disappointing.

Good Australian freestanding oven and cooktop
8 January 2022

There are very few 54 cm freestanding ovens on the market with glass cooktops. This one is Australian made in stainless steel so has a more updated look than most if you need to squeeze into a small space and don’t mind paying top dollar. Have not tested the grill yet, but the cooktop and oven work well. Took a little time getting used to the fan forced oven temperature and timing. The unit was delivered with damage to the rear panel so had to be replaced but otherwise no issues.

Good Price Good Product Good Service

The controls up high, looks great, so easy to use delighted with the oven, Grill being separate, Solid cooking plates spills easy to clean up. Josh the salesman who helped us could not have done more to make sure we purchased the right oven. Another young man who was leaving said sorry I am off but turned around and sent a salesman to us. I know this is not a product review this kind of service will make you use this store again. These two oldies will and tell friends. Well done staff of. The Good Guys.

Great value for money and cooks very well.

Perfect amount of room for a full 4 person family roast. True to temperature and nice even heating. The baking is spot on. Plates and oven heat up quickly and cool down reasonably. The side of the oven came with a small ding but was hidden so no issue. The oven will require a hole drilled under the front foot plate into the floor to secure it. Since ovens are so often in between the 160 -- 220 range it would be nice if they had turned the temp control to show this range on top instead of under the dial. Just a little hard to see at times. Very happy with purchase.

Hot plate not working correctly
15 November 2021

Great looking product. Unfortunately had to wait 2 months for arrival. Purchased in September arrival in November. Perhaps this was due to COVID. The hot plate was found to be faulty during the first use.Glowing red hot when set on low. Technician came out. Part not readily available. Still waiting for the oven to be fixed. Customer service very good just frustrating the product has to be fixed under warranty within its first use. I would recommend the product to others. Surely it was just a bad lemon.

Air fryer works well. Oven works wellNot so easy to clean.Crumbs very hard to remove from ovenIn highlight would have bought gas cooktop amd electric oven as ceramic cooktop is a lot more labour intensive to keep clean and stop scratches.Main design fault no drawer to store extra trays, racks griller tray when not using.Oven size is great and has great even cookingNo digital timing display makes accurate timing difficult

Standard oven that does what an oven should do
7 December 2021

Service in-store and installation of the product was great. We upgraded from a small convection oven to this freestanding one and baking in it is great. Love the space and ease of use. The timer doesn't work sometimes, you won't hear it go off or anything so I have to use a separate timer, and note it doesn't have a clock on it either. I also wish it came with an extra shelf as the two racks are very large and spacious so we have to use a separate, smaller tray to bake/cook smaller pieces of food. For the price we paid, a few extra features or accessories would have been nice!
