Installed this a month ago, nothing broke like the other reviews said, just gotta be gentle. Although its main function to block out light is very poor, since after I had to bend the brackets for it to hold on properly and be centre in my exact 150cm window frame. There’s still a 32mm gap EACH side of the blind. Doesn’t seem like much but let’s in a ton of light. Will get a new one and measure it in store. I understand a few millimetres to fit the brackets but this is bad

Cheap Screws

This product is ruined by enclosing cheap screws for the brackets which had such soft metal that they burred with the screw gun on the first use and it was impossible to loosen or remove them to adjust the mounting position.I was fortunate to be able to use a pinch bar to lever the backet a little to get it working properly.

Cheaply attached.

Installed in a window, to blockout heavy sun and the double sided tape holding the blind to the rod gave way in the heat. The blind is in a heap on the floor. Will be returning.

Defective

It's cheap, so I wasn't expecting to be amazed, but I was genuinely surprised that the rotating mechanism was completely locked as soon as it came out of the box. I hung up the curtain anyway in what I now realise was a protracted exercise in futility, hoping that maybe the mechanism would unlock once it was attached to the bracket. No such luck. My attempts to coax this uncooperative polyester beast in to performing its basic function were unsuccessful, and the only thing I managed to do was pop the chain out. Of course, in keeping with the tone of this evening, it was impossible to put the chain back in. It looks like I'll have to just buy another one of these as the plastic brackets are likely incompatible with everything else and I can't keep drilling holes in ... MoreIt's cheap, so I wasn't expecting to be amazed, but I was genuinely surprised that the rotating mechanism was completely locked as soon as it came out of the box. Otherwise, do yourself a favour and go with something of a decent quality. You deserve it.

Defintely recomend - very happy
20 January 2023

I bought one of these blinds almost two years ago (Feb 2021) - had it cut to size - and it has worked well since then. It goes up and down almost every day and the plastic fittings are continuing to work well. I am about to order another one cut to size and when I saw some negative reviews I felt my experience might be useful to potential purchers.

Effectively blocks out light but plastic brackets are flimsy
21 September 2021

As another reviewer pointed out, the brackets included that hold up the shade are both plastic and are none too sturdy looking. We went ahead and installed the shade very carefully but I must admit that I am a little concerned every time I pull the cord to raise or lower the shade that the whole thing is going to come down on my head. Unfortunately was one of very few options available for a large window shade so we went with it. It hasn't broken yet and it's been a few weeks since we installed it.

Good blind for the money.

A nice block out blind and does the job well. Installation was a bit difficult but we got there in the end and were happy with the result. The edges of the blind aren’t sealed in any way so can fray so be careful of that.

Poor quality fixings
30 May 2022

As blinds go these are good ones they do exactly what they say they do and for the price you can't go wrong with the blinds. However the screws that are provided for fixing the blinds to the wall / window frame are of extremely poor quality I put up 16 of these blinds and 12 of the screws sheared of whilst I was screwing them in. I then had to either reposition the blind to a position that was not perfect or resort to twisting the broken screws out with moleskins. And to top it off I then had to buy some more superior screws to get the job done. Needless to say I was out of pocket and not best pleased.

Terrible product
9 October 2023

Terrible product. I bought these for multiple areas of the house and after about 5-6 months they started deteriorating and the back of them became white and chalky and would drop the chalk onto anything that touched it….then you could see the inferiority in the blind where the chalk came off. The edges keep fraying and the cord is not smooth and plastic is cheap and breaks.
