Its hard to go past for the price. Good for a rental or budget friendly freshen up. Plastic "chain" and brackets can be on the weaker side and the edge of the blind tends to pull leaving small obvious threads. Scissors clean this up quite well.

This product is ruined by enclosing cheap screws for the brackets which had such soft metal that they burred with the screw gun on the first use and it was impossible to loosen or remove them to adjust the mounting position.I was fortunate to be able to use a pinch bar to lever the backet a little to get it working properly.

It's cheap, so I wasn't expecting to be amazed, but I was genuinely surprised that the rotating mechanism was completely locked as soon as it came out of the box. I hung up the curtain anyway in what I now realise was a protracted exercise in futility, hoping that maybe the mechanism would unlock once it was attached to the bracket. No such luck. My attempts to coax this uncooperative polyester beast in to performing its basic function were unsuccessful, and the only thing I managed to do was pop the chain out. Of course, in keeping with the tone of this evening, it was impossible to put the chain back in. It looks like I'll have to just buy another one of these as the plastic brackets are likely incompatible with everything else and I can't keep drilling holes in ... MoreIt's cheap, so I wasn't expecting to be amazed, but I was genuinely surprised that the rotating mechanism was completely locked as soon as it came out of the box. I bought one of these blinds almost two years ago (Feb 2021) - had it cut to size - and it has worked well since then. It goes up and down almost every day and the plastic fittings are continuing to work well. I am about to order another one cut to size and when I saw some negative reviews I felt my experience might be useful to potential purchers.
As another reviewer pointed out, the brackets included that hold up the shade are both plastic and are none too sturdy looking. We went ahead and installed the shade very carefully but I must admit that I am a little concerned every time I pull the cord to raise or lower the shade that the whole thing is going to come down on my head. Unfortunately was one of very few options available for a large window shade so we went with it. It hasn't broken yet and it's been a few weeks since we installed it.
I would give 5/5 if these things were a bit more forgiving on the hinges, it's very easy to set it too tight so you need to hit the roids just to wind it up... or too loose and as you are winding it down, the entire roller can fall off the sockets creating a beautiful mess. When set at the perfect position it's pretty decent, I was considering cutting them down slightly so they can be inserted inside the window frames but then the lazy part of the brain took over and said nah... so then went on the outside of the frame and a bit of light does get in as a result. If they were slightly shorter in width they would fit window frames on our house better.. however idk if that will be your experience but do keep this in mind and if you are buying in store, grab a tape ... MoreI would give 5/5 if these things were a bit more forgiving on the hinges, it's very easy to set it too tight so you need to hit the roids just to wind it up... or too loose and as you are winding it down, the entire roller can fall off the sockets creating a beautiful mess. When set at the perfect position it's pretty decent, I was considering cutting them down slightly so they can be inserted inside the window frames but then the lazy part of the brain took over and said nah... so then went on the outside of the frame and a bit of light does get in as a result. If they were slightly shorter in width they would fit window frames on our house better.. however idk if that will be your experience but do keep this in mind and if you are buying in store, grab a tape measure off the shelf and do some quick checks to ensure you won't get caught in the same predicament. In terms of blocking light where it's covered.. does fantastic job at this, screws in the packets are pretty weak so be sure to grab some decent ones that won't burr when you insert the tip of the screw bit into them for a light tickle.
Just got done reviewing the smaller version of these things. the same issues are true for the bigger ones as well. They roll up and down fine when at the perfect distance, however you'll wanna be sure you didn't miss arm day at the gym if you get the spacing wrong coz it will take some serious power to get the pulley to move. If you get the spacing too far apart, be sure to have ur sports shoes on so you can run for cover when the entire assembly inevitably comes crashing down above your head.Screws are weak sauce so BYO screws to lock the hinges in tight. I found that the width of these were just a few mill too wide for the frames they were going on, and so had to sit on the outside which resulted in light coming through the gaps around the sides. You could cut ... MoreJust got done reviewing the smaller version of these things. the same issues are true for the bigger ones as well. They roll up and down fine when at the perfect distance, however you'll wanna be sure you didn't miss arm day at the gym if you get the spacing wrong coz it will take some serious power to get the pulley to move. They really do block out the light from the sun quite well so given that's their primary function I think a 4/5 at this price point seems reasonable
These blinds are an adequate window covering, the colour is true to the website, they block the light well and are easy to install. I’d only buy these again for a window that doesn’t need opening/closing very often, if you don’t pull the cord VERY gently they often fall down. Can put it back up (easier with two people) but sure is a pain!
As blinds go these are good ones they do exactly what they say they do and for the price you can't go wrong with the blinds. However the screws that are provided for fixing the blinds to the wall / window frame are of extremely poor quality I put up 16 of these blinds and 12 of the screws sheared of whilst I was screwing them in. I then had to either reposition the blind to a position that was not perfect or resort to twisting the broken screws out with moleskins. And to top it off I then had to buy some more superior screws to get the job done. Needless to say I was out of pocket and not best pleased.
Got this size and 2 wider blinds. This particular one the fabric is not square. Therefore the blind does not track properly. Which leaves a 1 inch gap up the top and a 2inch gap down the bottom. Will see if our maintenance man can fix it.Wider blinds are fine. These are quite stylish and easy to roll up and down with the chain mechanism. Chain control mechanism can be assembled on the left or the right side.Overall nice blinds at a very good price. They do come in 6 different colours.
