I have used Gamblin oil paints for years, but have been replenishing my stock with Windsor and Newton, which I find superior (and Gamblin is great). If course, this is all opinion, but I find w/n to have the perfect consistency and covering power straight from the tube. I have found that whatever the medium, be it watercolor, oil or acrylic, Windsor and Newton products have never left me wishing I had bought some other brand instead. Even their student grade paints are as good or better than many other bro brands I have used.

Nice oil paints, & with a coupon really good price. But artist grade oils & water colors are locked up (unlike the acrylics) so if you want to check out a tube, read the label to check pigment & lightfastness, etc...you'll need to get an employee to open the cabinet, wait while you peruse their products, & lock up when you are done. If this person isn't familiar with the paints, it can be weird.

As always, you can't go wrong with quality products. The colours are really rich and vibrant, and mix beautifully. The yellows are particulaly nice as I like my colours to 'Pop'as they do in Nature. Nice to know that These are made in England. You can't go wrong with Windsor +amp; Newton.

Have not purchased this paint before. As expected from W &N the oil paint is of good quality with excellent pigment depth of colour when painting landscapes and portraits Would purchase again.
