Palm Oil Biscuit. When putting my Lemon and Lime cheesecake together I scratched around in my cupboard and pulled out a pack of these. Checked the back and palm oil is listed in the ingredients, urrggh. Waste not want not, I used the pack as the base for my cheesecake. These cost $1. 30 for 250g as opposed to the popular version $2. 30, the later not having palm oil so I really don't get why it has to be added. On opening the pack the start and end biscuits were broken, which didn't fuss me as I was crumbing the whole pack. Had a bite and felt they were quite a hard biscuit, decided I'd need to dunk these to be able to eat them. I also sandwiched a couple of bits together with butter, as that's what I used to do with the original. Didn't make it any more enjoyable. ...Ā MorePalm Oil Biscuit. Would I go out of my way to buy these again, well no I wouldn't. They were okay for the base of my cheesecake, but I think the added zest I put in the crumb improved it. Will stick with a brand that does not include Palm Oil. Cheesecake filling was delish.

Excellent value. I bought these biscuits to make rum balls. They worked perfectly for this. I tried one as is and I really liked them. The biscuits are nice and crisp and slightly sweet. I think they are slightly paler than I remember them from years ago but this is not a problem. Excellent value at only $1. 30 for the 250g pack. Made in Fiji but using at least 66% Australian ingredients. I was happy with this as it supports a small neighbouring country. I would buy these again, especially for baking needs. Would make a good cheesecake base too.

Blast from the past. After collecting my biscuit sample I put it in the cupboard and āforgotā about it for a whole two days. Needing a snack I rummaged through my almost empty cupboard and found the package I had put away. Milk Arrowroots have always been the biscuits I eat when all the other biscuits are gone but I still need a bikkie so not high on my list of priorities. At first they were a bit tasteless and dry but the more I ate the better they tasted. It is somewhat the nature of the product that they are not overly flavoursome so setting aside my pre-conceived thoughts I noted that the texture and taste are on par with mainstream brands. They go up a notch when dunked in hot chocolate although a thin layer of butter does not go astray. There are three ...Ā MoreBlast from the past. Tasty biscuits. We enjoyed these for morning tea with a cuppa. As the packet states a slightly sweet milky biscuit. I think these are as good as the brand name ones. 1. 5 star health rating. No artificial colours and flavours. Made in Fiji from at least 66% Australian ingredients. The tray in able to be recycled but the film has to go back to the store in soft plastics. Unfortunately these are another biscuit with palm oil in them and no source or explanation of sustainability. Overall we enjoyed these biscuits and they are a great basic to have in the cupboard for cooking but due to the ingredients and being made overseas I would be unlikely to purchase again.
No thanks. I found these somewhat dry and quite sweet. They do contain quite a bit of sugar. They also contain palm oil (not sustainably sourced). Then I noticed they are made in Fiji. = Food Miles. I was particularly surprised to find Australian ingredients are used ! This means these ingredients are shipped to Fiji, then returned as biscuits !Given these concerns I will not purchase these. The opportunity to sample them has allowed me to provide my comments, thank you.
Surprising. Having not tasted an Arrowroot biscuit in a while, I was a bit hesitant taking my first bite into this sample. The biscuit does look a bit pale, and having seen they were made in Fiji with only 66% Australian ingredients - why can't we import the other 44% and make them locally???But I was surprised at their taste. They are just the same as the name brand and at $1. 30 vs $2. 30, much cheaper. Mind you, a swipe of butter and Vegemite didn't go astray on them either, but this is something I would always do with the others too. But Mr H was another story. He took one bite and decided they didn't taste the same and has left me to finish off the packet. Maybe it was a ploy to have me make a cheesecake with them instead. I deducted one for not being Australian and for using palm oil. Would I buy again - on principle - no, as I try to support local products wherever possible, and definitely don't like products using palm oil if not essential. But for those on a tight budget, I would definitely recommend them despite what the rest of the household thinks
Very plain but did the job I intended for them. I bought a packet of these biscuits to use in a recipe to make condensed milk biscuit balls (for my condensed milk sample). I figured since these biscuits would be crushed up and mixed with condensed milk and coconut that their purpose wasnāt to have too much flavour but rather be the base ingredient for the balls. The packaging is very plain as are most of the Woolworths branded plain biscuits and they retail for $1. 30 for 250g which is excellent value. I like the milk bottle image being used to depict the letter āiā in milk Apart from the edge of one or two biscuits, they were all intact. On their own, the biscuits are very plain and bland as is to be expected. Even the brand name variety is not my favourite to have ...Ā MoreVery plain but did the job I intended for them. The biscuits look pale in colour and have the words Arrowroot stamped into them. The biscuits were crushed for the recipe and I have to say that those condensed milk biscuit balls were a huge success. Very delicious and Iām certain the biscuit base played a major role in that. 1. 5 āļø health rating āMade in Fiji From at least 66% Australian ingredients ā It seems that a few of Woolworths branded biscuits are now made in Fiji. Iām not sure why. Contains palm oil ā as a lot of these biscuits do so not much we can do about that. Recyclable tray and packaging ā»ļø ā Would happily buy these again for a baking recipe but on their own iād much rather prefer a bit more flavour or even chocolate with my biscuit
Staple pantry biscuits. These biscuits are a staple in my pantry. We use them in biscuit bases when cooking, we put icing on them for a treat and even enjoy them with a bit of butter and Vegemite. They are cheap and have a million different ways to use them. They also have a nice plain favour when you want to dunk one in your tea!

I had planned to make them into ādonkey dropsā (recipe is on bunch) but he sealed the packet and packed them away in his food stash to take with him on his boys weekend of car racing.... so much for my plans!
Brings on the memories and is great with a cuppa! I must admit I do like a bikkie with a cuppa in the morning and tried one of these on the day I got the packet!!This biscuit is comparable to the others on the market in terms of taste. The appearance is paler in colour but this did not seem to affect the taste. The biscuit was as anticipated - plain, not sweet and not too hard to bite into. Easy to locate in the store, ample stock on the shelf and a pleasing price point!I remember these biscuits from my younger days when the rave was putting butter and sprinkles on them for a party platter and everyone loved them!! I had not tried this brand before, but am glad I did. I will most likely finish this pack with my cuppas however I can see me re-purchasing a packet when a homemade biscuit cake base is needed!
