Great pantry staple. You can't really go wrong with these. As far as I can tell they are just the same as other brands of quick oats. They are processed in Australia using Aussie grown oats. At $2. 60 for the 1. 5kg they are a very budget friendly item, you could feed an army and still have some left My only problem with the pack is that I haven't got a container big enough to fit them in, so I just had to experiment with a few different ways to use them. They are great to make a quick morning porridge in the microwave, which is our usual use for quick oats. I did a bit of research and was surprised by the many ways you could use quick oats. While some suggested they be used for overnight oats and Anzac biscuits I prefer to use rolled oats for those, so I chose to ... MoreGreat pantry staple. You can't really go wrong with these. Both worked really well and added that little bit of extra goodness to both recipes. I still have a pancake recipe waiting in the wings to try out I would definitely recommend these quick oats and plan to purchase in the future if I manage to finish this pack

Fast breakfast. In the morning we all struggle to make a fast breakfast for our kids. This oats will cut the preparation time for an healthy start of the day, just add fresh fruits. Said that, I will stick with the rolled oats, but this is due to my way to prepare it for my daughter. I make them in milk and jam, sometime frozen berries when not in season, so I use this natural sweetener methods. The milk itself will add sugary flavor during the boiling process, however the cooking time for this oats are cut so I don't reach that sweet level that my daughter enjoy in the morning.

Best quick oats ever. I first knew this product as Red Tractor Rolled Oats. It makes a delicious porridge when soaked overnight in the frig after pouring in twice as much milk as oats into a sealed container. Cook for two minutes in the microwave. Serve with a dollop of vanilla yogurt - it is absolutely delightful. This product's packet appears the same product but it features a blue tractor and contains chopped oats. It is still delicious but the chopped oats makes a stodgy consistency which requires more milk for the overnight soaking. But it is still my favourite oats, indeed. It is a good price of $2. 60 for 1. 5 kilos!! The other oats' packets are normally 750gms which is not enough to last a family, compared to this Woolworths 1. 5k pack. I'm going to stock up.
Great baking ingredient! These are great to have on hand - quick and easy oat breakfast plus muesli to have raw or cooked! I decided to bake some oat biscuits - not Anzacs but a plainer version to see how they tasted and lasted in the pantry. This is the recipe I used - https://www. tasteofhome. com/recipes/rolled-oat-cookies/ I liked it because you can freeze rolls of the dough to cut and cook later but I cooked up the whole batch and topped them with choc buttons, 100s and 1000s, walnut halves or left plain. Great with a cup of tea or coffee and they actually tasted better a few days later when the flavours had settled. Oats are a great staple, pretty versatile, cheap as chips and so very nutritious!
Really quite good. I love oats, but usually use whole oats and soak them. I find that gives them a creamier texture. I used these oats first in a granola. They were quite good and seemed to hold the granola together better than when using whole oats. The clusters were clustier and the texture quite harder. I would probably use the quick oats for granola in future, but for porridge, nothing beats whole oats. I found no difference between name brands and this brand, so, for the price, I'd buy these.
Great value and quality oats! PRODUCT: Yummy oats! They are a good size that cook quickly or are already broken down enough to eat raw. I often add them to smoothies, use as toppings in a smoothie/acai bowl, or mix in with a granola. PACKAGING: This packet size (compared to the standard 750g) is great for buying in bulk, especially if you use oats often! However does just mean you obviously need a slightly bigger container to store them. PURCHASE AGAIN? Would definitely buy these again in the future.
Good value quick oats. We normally buy rolled oats and they are usually eaten raw or in baking goods. For these my husband is eating them cooked as porridge with milk. His review is that they make a good porridge. For value these are great. There was just one issue. I got to my car and saw oats in my shopping bag. I went back and got them replaced with a bag that seemed good. I got home and then when we went to use them I saw an oat under the bag. On pressure I found a small hole in the seam. Inside the bag there was a black piece so was a little concerned. I thought they might be stale, but husband said he didn't notice on cooking and is happy to eat them. 4 stars as packaging needs to be improved to prevent this. Hopefully it was just a bad batch at my store.
Very large bag very cheap price. I was very surprised about how large the bag was for the price. At first I thought the price must be wrong for such a large bag of oats. I found the placement of this on the bottom shelf very hard to locate especial since there were only a few bags left so they were pushed to the back of the bottom shelf. the packaging is great as you can see inside the bag to ensure no bugs are inside before purchasing. I made up a breakfast this morning on a cold morning warm oats with a drizzle of honey starts the morning off right. Last night I made up a batch of biscuits to take to work using the oats (apple and oats biscuits)The oats themselves were very clean and not powdery. now I know that I can purchase such a large bag for such a small ... MoreVery large bag very cheap price. Fulfilling breakfast, and a handy bulka. Firstly this new size is great at 1 1/2 kg. I use Woolworths Australian oats on a weekly basis, wether they are for breakfast, which is quick and simple only takes 2minutes in the microwave the way l like them. Or during the week l will toss a handful into a stew or casserole, the kids and the other half won't even know there their and they add more nutrition and fill them up more. They also disappear into the stew or casserole gravy. (Only the quick oats the rolled oats you will see). I think l have been using these for well over ten years maybe more, the price point is fantastic for either rolled or quick oats. Compared to other brands like Uncle Toby where they are over $6 kg, and only $2. 60 for 1 1/2kg woollies is ... MoreFulfilling breakfast, and a handy bulka.
