Looks very ā€˜Fancy Pants’ & does the Job! We were very happy to get this sample as we have used this product before and find it great. To be honest, we really wouldn’t know a good Balsamic Vinegar from a Can of Paint, but it tastes great to us. In other words, we aren’t pretending to be Balsamic Vinegar connoisseurs here - we just know that this has always worked well in the one recipe we have used it in We cook a Sweet Potato & Sausage Stew in our Tefal Cook-4-Me-Connect and it is a favourite dish in our family. The bottle shape and size is also great and easier for people with hand issues such as arthritis, muscles issues etc to hold. At $2. 70 for 500ml it is a great price and should last you a good amount of time. We intend to try it next in a salad dressing to broaden our Balsamic Vinegar horizons! Thanks bunch for this item, it has gone to an appreciative home where it is being used and explored further

A strong, affordable option. Balsamic Vinegar is not a product I commonly use in my cooking. However, given the opportunity to collect this item as a bunch sample, it will be used more often!Originally, I trialled this over a tomato and bocconcini platter that I had put together. I learned that the taste is very strong, with a sharp vinegar taste (I suppose that’s expected, with vinegar in the name!), and so a little bit goes a long way. I found it to be a nice addition to the platter - in small amounts - and I am looking forward to trying it in different ways. I’ve heard it can be used in glazing, though I haven’t tried this. If anyone has any suggestions for other uses please let me know in the comments below! The bottle is large but still user friendly, and easy ...Ā MoreA strong, affordable option. Absolutely delicious. This product has the wow factor for me. It is excellent and I usually buy my balsamic vinegar and glaze from Italian shops. Boy, have I been missing out. It is smooth with a lovely finish, it’s not overly acidic or bitter, has just the right balance. I’ve used it in cooking where it adds flavour, I’ve used it for dipping with crusty bread and also as part of a marinade. It is a quality product at a fraction of the cost of what I have been paying. This was one of my favourite bunch samples and will always be in my pantry from now on. I appreciate the glass bottle over plastic and hope that never changes. It’s made in Italy (of course). Good value. Vinegar is just like wine. They do share heritage, after all. And like wine, there are snobs and there are people who would drink metho cos it’s cheap. So, leaving aside the pure super-cheap white vinegar that has a million uses around the house, the balsamic and other vinegars are a lot like browsing in a wine bar. They’re all pretty much the same, but the snob value and prices vary enormously. In that context, it’s hard to go past this one. The average person wouldn’t pick the difference between this and much more expensive brands. Making it a no-brainer, right? This one for cooking, the 2L flagon on the bottom shelf for everything else. Job done!

Loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed sampling this product. Great price, I liked the packaging materials and design. It has a nice pourer. The vinegar has a nice sharp bite to it which I love it had a subtle sweetness to it, but not too much. I used it in a tomato and cucumber salad, a garden salad as well as in an olive oil and balsamic dip for my crusty bread. There are other uses for it but I never use it other than the ways I mentioned above. I didn’t mind that the product was imported in this case, as that meant it was from the worlds best producer of balsamic vinegar (Modena, in Italy) Compared to my usual brand of balsamic, which is also from the Modena region this is my preferred of the two. Comparable to the dearer ones. I was little bit sceptical when I claimed my sample, as this 500 mil bottle of balsamic vinegar retails for $2. 70, which is way cheaper than what I would normally pay for a balsamic vinegar. Product of Italy, made from the best Italian grapes. It’s stamped on the front that it’s’ protected geographical indication’, which means it comes from a specific geographical region, and therefore has a distinctive set of qualities or a reputation attributable to that region. Made in the province of Modena, using centuries-old local methods. It’s made using mature locally grown Italian red grapes and is matured in wooden barrels. Flavoursim. Firstly Thank you for the opportunity to taste test the Woolworths Balsamic Vinegar 500ml My other half and I had an evening of finger food watching the coronation on TV. I chopped and de seeded some cherry tomatoes, diced a small red onion and fresh garlic, tore some basil leaves and added to the mix. I grabbed the bottle of balsamic vinegar and tasted it, it was quite nice but for us it needed a little sweetening so I added a teaspoon of brown sugar and stirred it until it dissolved. I added the vingar to the mixture and placed it in the fridge for a couple of hours. In the meantime I toasted some bread and cut into triangles ( not buttered) we sat down later on to watch the coronation and had our brushetta on toast, and chicken wings and a cheese ...Ā MoreFlavoursim. Just average. I use a lot of balsamic vinegar so looked forward to trying this one. I already had 2 other brands open in my pantry so I trialled them all together. Unfortunately the Woolworths one was the least desirable of the three. It had more of a watery, but really harsh vinegar taste than the others. The Cornwall's was the sweetest but the Remano had by far the best flavour, more of a muscat/grape flavour reminiscent of a really good expensive Balsamic, still a little vinegary but at pretty much the same price point as the Woolworths one, I would choose that one over the other two any day. If you are on a budget, don't have an "A" store whose own brand is Remano nearby or don't shop there and are wanting to use it as a vinegar in cooking, by all means get the ...Ā MoreJust average. Otherwise, especially if using it for dressings etc, spend a bit more money and get a better brand or grab one next time you are at the "A" store. Its not that I don't recommend it - it does the job sort of - but there are definitely better alternatives out there. It is however an unlikely repurchase for me

Excellent Balsamic Vinear. Very easy to find in the sauces / oils / vinegar section of my local woolies - like many non-branded items, was slightly lower than eye height but the woolies green logo and colourful labelling helped it easily stand out from the crowd. Bottle easy to open, which was also glass which I really liked (great for recycling etc). Perviously I have purchased the name brand vinegars so was very surprised in reading the packaging that this vinegar is also produced in Italy using traditional methods like the more expensive brands. It even has the European Union protected geographical indication (PGI) logo on the packaging - so certified it is the real deal! Was very pleasantly surprised that I couldn’t tell the difference between this and the name ...Ā MoreExcellent Balsamic Vinear. A great, authentic Italian product! We're really impressed with this vinegar, labelled under the Woolworth's range of products. Modena vinegar is the best quality, so this is superior in taste. This label also states that the country of origin, is in fact from Italy. We enjoyed the enhanced flavour of our home made dips, when using a few drops of this outstanding condiment. The dips were elevated to a full taste sensation. I utilised the benefits of this vinegar to preserve, and add a zesty, light, and sweet taste, to my home made, "Tomato, and Sundried tomato, "sauce. We will enjoy using this product, highly recommended!
