Chicken Breast chopped and shaped into Chicken Tenders. This manufactured (or "formed") chicken product is easy to find in the freezer section and the cover is enticingly designed with some cooked product, wedges of lemon and a dipping aioli or mayo. Made in Australia with "Australian Chicken", as declared on the cover, and RSPCA Approved. This is a convenient frozen product that my kids decided would be part of their 'my choice' school holiday dinner tonight. When they got to their chicken part of the meal they were not thrilled. While the crust was crisp, there was an unpleasant wet "spongeyness" to the texture - most unlike chicken tenders. The texture is visibly artificially created - kind of like a compression of pulled chicken. They love the real chicken tenders so it seemed deceptive to name these in this way. There are many items in the ingredient list that suggest flavour (salt, mineral salts, sugar, onion, garlic, natural flavouring, pepper, pepper extract, natural roast chicken flavour), but in my cautious nibble it was clear that these a low on the flavour-ometer. Maybe this is a great option if you give the family lots of sauces and condiments with their dinner. Overall there is 14. 5% protein in this chicken product so it is very much like a larger formed chicken nugget that you can pretend is a 'tender'. With some healthy vegetable sides and not extra carbs then it could pass as a reasonable meal for children. At $4 a box of 400g they could be seen as reasonable value for a busy day. Not for re-purchase.

Ok for a cheaper alternative. These were easy to bake in the oven. 8 pieces per box. Coating was crispy. Thick Chicken on the inside which seemed more processed than I’m used too. Almost a mush sort of look. Kids didn’t say anything about the taste being different but did notice the mush appearance too, so for them I would purchase again. Myself personally I’d rather purchase Inghams when the are on sale. Chicken just tastes better. I generally only purchase tenders to make wraps. I could 200% notice the difference in brands even disguised in a wrap with salad.

Very surprised at the quality. This product is found in the Woolworths frozen food section. Quite an appealing box with plenty of information on there including about an Allergen change, but not being a previous consumer of this product I wouldn't know what it was. The allergens are listed on the side of the box. I did need to have a double-take in looking at the food pictures on the box as you could confuse this with crumbed fish bites with the lemon in the picture. As a visual person, I go by the look before I read and if you are in a hurry you may not pick this up thinking it's fish. So my suggestion would be to perhaps omit the lemon in the picture and put a small dish of tomato sauce instead. So my suggestion would be to perhaps omit the lemon in the picture and put a small dish of tomato sauce instead. The tenders are housed in a sealed blue plastic wrapper within the box, which I like. This stops the freezer burn you often see in other products that are put in the box without other protection. The Woolworths Chicken Breast Crumbed Tenders are priced at $3. 50 for 400 gm. Or $8. 75 / 1KG and have a 4-star health rating. The competitor Steggles Chicken Breast Tenders Crumbed are $11. 00 / 1KG and has a 3. 5 health star rating. There is 45% chicken in the Steggles. Whereas the Woolworths Chicken Breast Crumbed Tenders are RSPCA Approved Chicken 65% and 97% Aussie ingredients. There are No artificial nasties. All Made In Australia There are 8 tenders in the pack. I cooked the whole pack with the recommended time of 20 minutes was spot on in the air fryer using the fan-forced oven recommendation. I was so surprised at the texture and the fullness and thickness of juicy chicken within the breadcrumbs. The competitors often have empty pockets inside and are not as thick, hence the more chicken % in the Woolworths crumbed tenders. The crumb coating was golden, crunchy and delicious. Overall there was a much better flavour and texture than the Steggles crumbed breast tenders. Personally am not usually a consumer of convenient processed crumbed meats, however, my son is a massive fan of this type of food, so I will most definitely be making a permanent switch to these crumbed chicken tenders. I may even continue to have a sneaky treat of these every once and a while

Ok on a budget. We aren’t big eaters of chicken nuggets or tenders in our house these days, but occasionally have them as a quick and easy option. I felt these were definitely at the budget end based on both price and quality. There was a high proportion of crumb versus chicken which made them quite dry. The chicken was also an odd texture, like it was an mince mousse, kind of aerated. It’s probably something I would consider for a party with lots of other fried or baked items and tomato sauce, but probably not something I would buy for the family to eat.

Simple Back Up Product. The Made in Australia emblem grabs my attention, with at least 97% Australian ingredient - In noting only 65% of this is chicken. Pleasingly, Australian RSPCA Approved chicken!Through the what seems like an unnecessarily oversized plastic bag, are 8 golden Tenders, uniform in shape and size. With the bag joining mid way down the pack, makes it not an easy back to open and reseal. Allowing an added few minutes cooking time, resulted in lovely golden brown Tenders, although not crunchy as expected and hoped for. The coating was very thin, which might have contributed to this, along with the juicy component of the chicken. The spongy chicken was too finely minced (I assume) to form these processed look Tenders. With not alot of flavour, perhaps ... MoreSimple Back Up Product. With not alot of flavour, perhaps they may appeal more so to children, those who have difficulty chewing chicken pieces, serving with a dipping sauce or as a quick, easy convenient product. Noting the details of not being able to refridgerate leftovers, it's not an economical way for singles to heat a conventional oven for 1 serving, being suggested as 2 Tenders. A reasonably priced, light and easy form of protein intake, however it's not something I typically purchase (or would in the future) but am grateful for the opportunity to give them a try, thankyou!

Chicken Tenders Yummy. The Tenders were a really surprise. I pop them in the oven and they cooked up perfect. The texture of the coating was light but nice and crunchy. The chicken looked and tasted like fresh chicken. Unlike some other brands that appear to made of scrap bits. They did not need sauce or gravy as they were moist and juicy on their own. Quick and easy meal idea as I pop them in the oven while I did the vegetables. $3. 80 a box which had 8 pieces in it. That is value for money. I served 4 pieces with steamed vegetables for my daughters dinner. With a fresh homemade roll. The other 4 I made wraps for work the next day. Value for money 10/10Taste/texture 10/10I will these again for the quick and easy nights.

Dry and Rubbery. These chicken breast crumbed tenders are dry, rubbery and lacked any kind of flavour. Even with the addition of sweet chilli sauce did not make an ounce of difference. Even the coating was so bland and they state on the front packet chicken breast chopped. It didn't even look like chicken, it could have been anything. Made in Australia from at least 97% Australian ingredients which is excellent. Contains no artificial colours or flavours but does have a long list of ingredients. Also has a health star rating of 4 which is very good. Overall this product needs major improvements and seems like they need to go back to the old drawing board. Similar to Steggles (But Not Inghams). I buy a similar product from Inghams all the time. Steggles also have a version, which I don't like. These are almost identical to the Steggles version. My personal preference is the Inghams version of frozen tendies, however if you like Steggles these are basically the same product as far as I can tell. Super quick and easy to cook in the air fryer. We had them chopped up on soft tacos, they were quite nice. They were super easy to find and an extremely reasonable price. If Woolies were to make a copy of the Inghams version I'd buy them all the time But this particular version is not my personal preference. I personally wouldn't purchase, but they are a good product.

Versatile Chicken Pieces! I easily found the box in the freezer section. The packaging wasn't overly appealing, but still described the contents efficiently. Opening it up at home I was surprised inside the box was a plastic bag, I had just assumed they would be loose. Bit of a waste of packaging I feel and it would be better it it was one or the other, box or bag, not both. I pulled out a few of the teardrop shaped chicken pieces, I wasn't overly optimistic as in the past I find these types of foods dry and tasteless. They went into the oven and I turned them over about 10 min in and left to cook for another 8 min.
