Crumbed fish fillets. The kids have enjoyed these as part of our occasional “can’t-be-bothered-much” meal survival kit. They have a good crisp crumb (essential for successful re-purchase) when cooked and they are flexible to use as-is on the plate or in a burger. They can also be sliced to use in a fish taco or wrap. These are easy to bake along with some chips or hashbrowns and serve with a fresh salad. Dinner done. Love them. Love the pack having three alternative dinner ideas on the back, with illustrations, for those slow-thinking days. Inspiration for parents is always appreciated. Only 40% local ingredients, though. The fish is listed as Alaskan Pollock or NZ Hoki (sustainably sourced) – nice to know. A survival staple, although I would not vouch on the health ... MoreCrumbed fish fillets. It's A Winner For Me. I'm not much of a seafood eater though This ones a winner for me for packaged fish fillets. It didn't taste or smell fishy. Tasty fish covered by a delicious crumb which after air frying came out nice and crunchy. This 425g box containing 6 fillets is sustainably sourced. Priced at $5. 00 which is a good price compared to other brands. The packaging was decorative, informative and appealing. I had mine with chips and salad, My husband and daughter had the fillets in a sandwich with cheese. Packed in Australia with 40% Aussie ingredients. This fillet contains either 51% Pollock OR Hoki which is a bit confusing. Lost a star there. I would buy this again as it's good to have one in the freezer for those "I don't know what to cook days". So cheap & tasty - we are Hooked . We were very happy to receive this sample! What a wonderful surprise to have the majority of a meal organised for a night. We already had some Beer Battered Deli Chips in the freezer, some Broccoli & Cauliflower which I steamed and a Pasta side dish so it was all systems go! I began by cooking these initially in the Air Fryer then transferred them to an oven try on a low temperature whilst then cooking the Frozen Chips in the Air Fryer along with the other items. This Fish was very easy to cook and developed a very nice outer crumbed crunch. The fish has a very nice flavour as well. The fillets themselves aren’t massive but they are big enough, especially when considering the price of these vs competitors products & their prices. I ... MoreSo cheap & tasty - we are Hooked . Whilst there were a few small light brown hues throughout some small areas within some of the pieces of fish, this is also found in some of the very expensive brands as well. For the price of this fish we were very happy with this product. We are currently doing everything we can at the moment to cut as much cost as possible on groceries (as I am sure most everyone is as well) so this product is perfect for our family. A quick, easy, tasty & very reasonably priced product! Thanks Bunch. We will be buying this item again - in fact it is on the list for Good Friday already

Here Fishy Fishy :). These are great for a quick delicious lunch or dinner. We will have these on wraps with salad or for dinner with salad and chips. They cook great in the air fryer, are a great size portion, taste fresh and the crumb doesn't go rock hard when cooked. The fillets are crispy and moist inside. They are easy to find in the freezer section in my local store, and on the packaging, I like the 3 serving suggestions to enjoy these fish fillets. They are Packed in Australia from at least 40% Australian ingredients, sustainably sourced, a good source of omega 3 and have a 4-star health rating. Quick, easy, flavour. Yummy. On the bunch shopping list yesterday, was hoping they were in stock as I love fish. They were there and I was as happy as can be. My tea was mapped out before we even got them, so tea depended on them being in stock. lolEasy and quick to cook, just shove them in the oven and they are on their way. While cooking I made a Salad to go with them and also one pieces of bread. I decided to try something different I had seen from other comments about crumber fish. I made a fish sandwich, cut the bread in half put the fillett on with lettuce, tomato and cucumber, spash of tartar. Only made half incase i did not like it like this. Never had a fish sandwich like this before. Will def do it again. Worth the $5. 6 in a box, so three meals for that price is a win along with the flavour.
Not our thing, your mileage may vary. Frozen fish is a regular purchase in our household, though not from this supermarket, so we were excited for the opportunity to trial this product. We were also fortunate to also be offered the battered variety to trial, so we were really able to evaluate this thoroughly. THE GOOD:* The ingredients are mostly natural. * I was a big fan of the crunchy crumb coating. * Quick and easy to cook. * Considerably cheaper than the name brand alternatives. * Box is recyclable. THE BAD:* Could be made from Alaskan Pollock or New Zealand Hoki -- they don't specify which, and both have considerable food miles. * Although each fillet is quite small, they still manage to pack 19% of the RDI of fat into each one -- almost a fifth! If you have two, and add mayonnaise, you could easily consume more than half of your daily fat in just one small meal. THE INDETERMINATE:* Each fillet is quite small compared with the brand we would normally purchase. * While I quite liked the flavour, it was not a hit with the miniBuncher, so only a 50% success rate in our household. THE CONCLUSION:This will not be added to our shopping list in the near future. The flavour wasn't a win with one of us, and the high fat percentage wasn't appealing to the other one. As always though, we remain grateful to Bunch for the opportunity to try this product.
Fishy Favourite. Cooked these in an airfryer with some potato chips. I wasn’t expecting them to be as good as they were. They were proper fish fillets and not mushy “fish finger” like. Photo taken before cooking:Great taste, great texture and even Miss 3 enjoyed them. Great blue packaging suiting the water environment for the fish. Ready in 20-25 mins. 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ health rating. Packed in Australia from at least 40% Australian ingredients. Usually cost $5 for 425g. These are very convenient for a healthy meal.
Quick and easy dinner idea. If you are someone who doesn't have a lot of time during the week, or just want something that you can place in the oven and "set and forget", this fish is awesome. I found it great paired with some chips (which take around the same time to cook) as well as some salad. The fish wasn't too dry once cooked, which was great. The different size packets are great as well. I find the smaller pack can be used for up to 3 serves (3 serves = 2 fish per person). The fish do run on the smaller side, so I find that I normally go for 2, whereas with other brands I might only eat 1. As a plus, they also make a larger box, with more serves, and with a lower unit price. Overall, a good product.
Hubby says yes! I only eat fish when we go out and the vegetarian options aren't to my liking. But I accepted this sample knowing hubby would like it, because he does enjoy fish and chips when we're out. And that is exactly how I served it- air fried for 12 minutes, along with air fried chips made from my homegrown potatoes, and a serving of coleslaw. Hubby isn't effusive in his praise of anything, but he did clean the plate, and said "that was nice". The box of 6 fillets cost $4. 40, which is a great price, and probably cheaper than buying fresh fish and crumbing your own. It's also a great time-saver!Thank you Bunch, I would recommend this product for a tasty quick meal!
Awful - A Lot Went Into The Bin. Woolworths Fish Fillets Crumbed 425gPrice: $5. 00 for 6 small pieces. Made: Packed in Australia from at least 40% Australian ingredients. General: * Let me start by saying that I have purchased this product previously and that time it was just 'okay'. Fairly average quality... but 'ok'. This time around however..... it is a big NO from me. - One positive: There were some handy meal suggestions on the back of the pack. - The fontsize of the cooking instructions was way too small, making it hard to read. There was plenty of room on the pack to make the text larger. No excuse for teeny tiny lettering- When I opened the pack, I was surprised at how dark the crumb was. My photo of the still frozen fish (just below), does not adequately show that unfortunately. I think the light above it makes it look a lot lighter than it was. I was concerned that if I cooked the pieces for the suggested 'approximate' 20 mins, that they would burn... as they already looked well cooked. Hence I kept a close eye on them as they were cooking. - As the pieces cooked, there was a very strong fishy smell coming from the oven. Not a very pleasant one. - 5 minutes before suggested ready time, the pieces were bubbling and starting to burn at the edges, so I removed them from the oven. I served them up with some salad. - I tried to cut into them with a standard dinner knife but the crumb was SO HARD and firm, I changed my knife to a steak knife. - As soon as I cut into the piece, I could see that that the fish did not look appetising. It had dark grey patches and grey streaks running through it. In fact the entire flesh was a lot darker in colour than I had been expecting. *NOT white fluffy fish like the picture on the packet suggested! It was not like the picture at all. - Texture-wise for the flesh... there was very soft bits and a few chewy, almost tough bits. - I didn't like the smell, the texture or the taste of the fish flesh. - I also didn't like the very hard texture of the crumb and the excessive salt in it! As I tried to eat the fish I ended up with the whole bottom-side of the crumb remaining on my plate and I wasn't keen to eat it after the top had been so salty. Too hard a crumb. Too salty. - I couldn't finish the two pieces I had put on my plate. The smell, taste and texture was bad. What you see in the photo below, is what went into the rubbish bin. Almost 50% of the product. What a waste. Overall: I would rather pay more for a less salty product with a higher quality fish and a better crumb. I wont be tempted to buy this again. Thanks for the sample Bunch, but this product was a huge disappointment
