Woolworths Himalayan Pink Fine Table Salt 750g

Packaging is the best. Love the packaging of this salt. The colour of the packaging to match the product as well as the pictures around it, makes it the best home brand art work on a package. It is easy to use not hard to open. At $3. 99 it is good value for pink salt. Tastes good and cannot find anything wrong with this product so giving it 5 stars. People have commented about where the product comes from and deducted a star, but it is a bit hard to get Himalayan pink salt from any where else.

Salty. Thank you bunch for another great handy sample. I use salt all the time so this sample came in handy and topped up the pantry. This size is great and will last us a while. The handy slide top is great but because the salt is so fine it does come out fast so do need to be careful. I put it in my had first that way things don't get too salty. I like the fact its all natural and unrefined, and you can see in the grains all the different shades of pink earthy colours. I took one star off because I love to buy Australian products and living near salt farms I find it really frustrating it is so hard to find Australian salt in our shops. Himalayan Pink Salt. Himalayan pink salt is as good as it is exotic It has a rich mineral content with over 85 minerals and trace elements with a range of health benefits. I'm not sure why it doesn't say this in the product details but it says this in the product details of Mckenzie's Himalayan pink salt. It's made in Pakistan and is significantly higher in sodium than Saxa table salt or even Mckenzie's Himalayan pink salt and I don't know why. Especially since this salt has nothing else added to it and is 100% Pink Himalayan Salt. Nice Salt - Good Price. I have been using pink salt for a while now - admittedly was attracted to the hype and well - the fact that it was pink! To be perfectly honest I really don't notice the difference in taste from regular salt. I keep normal ground table salt for cooking and have a grinder for rock salt - whether I buy white or pink. I do prefer the ground salt in things like salads etc. Some recipes I have ask specifically for rock salt so that's another reason I have it on hand. Normally I would make mention of a product not being Australian - but this product is different. As the name suggests - its "Himalayan" so coming from Pakistan is legit. This is a product of Pakistan as the Himalayan Mountains run some 200km into the western part of Pakistan. We love our pink salt used in moderation and usually buy it in rock form and mix with the iodised rock salt so this is perfect for using straight from the container to add to pasta when cooking and could be used when making a brine for smoking fish to name a couple of uses. Ummm - salt is salt. Not much to say as IMHO salt is salt and besides I have long used Pink Himalayan Rock salt in my grinders. However as my grinder needs replacing I thought I would use this Woolies fine ground Pink Himalayan Rock salt instead. Initial reaction was (a) I can't tell the difference in taste, and (b) not as fine as the more common locally produced sea salts. I did however find the top layer of salt in 750gm plastic container seemed to get caked if not regularly used/shaken up (I never seemed to have that issue in my grinders). Decided to put 100gms in another shaker for daily use at the table and transferred the remaining 600 or so gms to a sealed glass jar - no further caking at this stage.

Pretty pink salt. I do love pink salt, so this sample was a lovely surprise, and such a large size of 750g. This salt is all natural and unrefined, with different shades of pink. Lovely for decorating your margaritaIt is a product of Pakistan, I took one star off because I love to buy Australian products, but unfortunately it is so hard to find Australian salt in our supermarkets. I thoroughly recommended this salt as it is pretty and tastes great. I would purchase again, thanks for a great sample.

Brilliant alternative to normal salt. This salt is much healthier for you than normal salt but there is barely a difference in taste so it can be used as a direct substitute. This salt is also the perfect size to be using when cooking but it can also be used as a table salt. With the affordable price point, it’s a definitely worth buying. Healthwise this salt has no additives which is generally a good thing, but because it isn’t iodised like normal salt - you will need to ensure that you get your iodine from elsewhere in your diet.

Pink and it’s salt. Thanks for the sample Woolworths. Large container, easily located in store by the brightly coloured pink container. At $4:70 for 750grams for the convenience pack it is less budget friendly when the 1kg plastic pack of the same product sells for $4:00 It has been used sparingly as we rarely use salt except on hot chips or eggs. It was decanted into a smaller shaker for use at the table by guests. A tiny amount was used when our son made sausage rolls today. I shared the contents with my sister and 2 neighbours and they all commented it was pretty to look at in the clear glass shaker however it’s just salt. Unlikely to need to purchase another container, especially as the amount still left after gifting 2/3 to others will last us a very long time.

Great size package, lasts forever. I enjoy using pink Himalayan salt on my food and I enjoyed the convenience of pre-grinded salt. The size of the package was huge. I have been using it for quite some time now and it still seems full! It will last forever! I love this sample. Would definately recommend to others.
