Woolworths Onions Cocktail 500g

Value and deliciousness for price. I love onions, spring, fried (shallots), Spanish, raw- they're all so good with anything!These were great to snack on with cheese and cold meats as well. I kind of hope that it's not only available at Christmas, however the jar is quite large and if I'm feeling greedy and gluttonous, it should last a while. It's sweet and crunchy but not too strong and overwhelming (unlike when you're cutting onions!). At $2. 50, it's half the price of some of its competitors and therefore great value!

Disappointing. Was looking forward to tasting these as I love pickled onions. A lot of the onions were soft and tasteless and the sizes varied tremendously. We also found it extremely difficult to find this item on the shelves of our local Woolies. We had to ask a store assistant to find them for us and they were located at the very back of a top shelf. There would have been no hope of us reaching the onions without his help.

Tart and crisp. I like a good cocktail onion. I hate when they are squishy or too sweet. These were beautiful - crisp and crunchy with a good hit of vinegar but without being lip puckeringly sour. These have encouraged me to buy cocktail onions again. I ate about 10 in one go. A negative is that they are a product of India - I was just watching a documentary recently and this is a product that we produce in Australia, so it would be great to be supportive of our farmers.

Cute sized onions but... Love the size of these cocktails onions which I thought were cute but so disappointed they are a product of India! Priced at $2. 50 for 500g is cheap compared to other brands. I like to chop the onions & mix with a tin of tuna & place on crackers. It's delish! Great to have when entertaining on a platter. I can't have too many as pickled onions gives me asthma. Jar was easy to open & can be repurposed for something else. No artificial colours or flavours with a 3. 5 health star rating. Would buy occasionally but not often.

Average. A very generous size bottle of little pickled onions considering the very cheap price point. 500g$2. 50Not a favourite generic product though I found some of them to be soft/mushy. Vinegar is a bit overpowering in my opinion. :-/Not a huge fan of pickled onions but i did try marinating half bottle in a balsamic vinegar and glaze. That was OK

Nice & crunchy pickled onions. I love pickled onions and found these little cocktail onions to be nice and crunchy. They are great to eat on their own or add to some cabana and cheese onto a toothpick for a snack. Good small size, a bit too vinegary. I tried these recently to add to a cheeseboard. I liked the small size of them (cracker size!) however, I found the vinegar taste a bit too overpowering.

Tasty and tangy. I liked the onions. They had lots of flavour and a real tangy bite. Some were too tangy but that's ok. They go great with other savory nibblies like cheese and cabanossi. I couldn't eat too many of them at once though because of the tangy bite factor but still enjoyed them. They are great value and such a huge jar. I'm not sure if they come in smaller jars but they would be great if they did.

Big crunch in a big jar! The first thing I noticed was the plain label. I would not normally grab this product due to it not being visually appealing. When trying to open the lid, I had a lot of difficulty and had to ask someone else to open it. The flavour of the Woolworths sweet cocktail onions was pleasant and there was a good crunch to each onion. The size of the onions is inconsistent and this along with the fact that they are not an Australian product would probably put me off buying them again for entertaining purposes. This product has no artifical colours or flavours but does contain sulphites. It is in a large 500g jar, so it is a good size for anyone with a large family.

Perfect with an extra dry Gibson. I absolutely love these in my extra dry Gibson’s. The Gibson is a mixed drink made with gin and dry vermouth, and often garnished with a pickled onion. I would freeze them a little bit before adding them to my drink. The only issue now is that I only use a couple of these cocktail onions per drink. I will have to do a lot of drinking to go through the whole jar :) The product is made outside of Australia which is not great for Australia and why I gave it 4 stars.
