Woolworths Vanilla Ice Cream Sticks 4 Pack

Not Bad for the price!!! At $3:80 for 4 these represent a good price point especially for families to share as a sometimes treat!!!However I only had a mouthful for the purpose of this review and did not feel that I was missing out or inclined to eat the rest of it at all!!! I would never refer to these as being decadent as I guess I am used to making my own. But find these to be a very poor copy of a magnum indeed!!!Chocolate is half the thickness and falls off all over the place, making them very messy unless like me you had a bowl and were ditching the rest of it anyway. I thought the icecream tasted like milk powder mixed with water with a splash of fake vanilla and emulsifiers thrown in to improve the texture. Plus cocoa butter and cocoa mass which gives it a bit of a weird taste in your mouth 18. 6 g of sugar per icecream equals nearly 4 teaspoons or a tablespoon of sugar!!! That is massive!!! Plus 17% cream= not great for you although let’s face it most icecream is not good for you either!!!! I felt the texture in these was not right and tasted a little like the milk powder wasn’t properly reconstituted when used as had a bit of a graininess to it!!!Sorry Woolworths whilst I appreciated the chance to try not something I would ever repurchase!!!However for a cheaper product if you don’t mind them having so much sugar in one hit they do the job!!!Thanks for reading!!! For a sweet tooth. The ice cream has a classic vanilla flavour and tastes creamy and smooth. Its milk chocolate coating is pleasantly thin and crispy with a rich taste. It's not overly sweet despite the one-star health rating. The size is quite generous and i found it hard to finish one on my own. It would no doubt satisfy those with a sweet tooth. The packaging design is quite basic for me and blends in a little in terms of the colours, not that easy to spot in the freezer against other packaging boxes that are more bright and vibrant.

As expected. Made in Australia from 63% Australian ingredients - could be worse, but could be better. I presume the chocolate components make up the majority of the 37% non Australian ingredients. These were OK for the cost and if you just fancied that ice cream fix, though they are not a product I would ever get cravings for. The chocolate was quite ok, a fairly generous coating, but I think the ice cream was a bit bland and not at all creamy. It tasted cheap. OH said he prefers the similar almond coated Coles product. I am not a huge fan but suspect they could be made by the same manufacturer - there must be a limited number of ice cream manufacturers making this type of home brand product in Australia. I-scream for Ice cream indeed. This sample proved very popular in this house and was able to be shared around. Such an affordable product, it will be definitely on my shopping list in the future (perhaps when slightly warmer!) We all enjoyed the smooth creamy vanilla ice cream, and the choc coating was full of snap, crunch and flavour. We did find that if you made one bite large chunks fell off but it adds to the adventure of eating it! The flavour wasnt overly sweet. The size is ideal as an adult snack but also for a child to be able to handle (as well as have a sweet treat). Would love to see the actual individual ice cream bars packaged in something that was recyclable. 63% Australian ingredients is not too bad. Yummy, budget friendly treat for the family. I found that the packet was a little tricky to find in the freezer section, as it was right on the bottom shelf, half tucked behind some other icecreams. However, when I managed to find it, I was impressed with the simplistic design of the packet, the fact that they're made in Australia from Aussie cream, and the great price!My family members were delighted when I brought these home and said we could have them for afternoon tea. Big hit here! Two of my girls enjoyed these for dessert the other night and they were very happy little campers indeed! This sort of thing is a rare treat in my house - so they were thanking Bunch the whole way through. They loved the chocolate on the outside, saying that it was just the right thickness and really creamy and tasty. They were also impressed with the quality of the ice-cream, saying that it was also really creamy and did not have that 'icy' quality that some plain label ice-cream can have. Miss 15 managed to 'lick' half of her ice-cream right off the stick with her ferocious licking (after she'd already removed the chocolate of course, because, seriously, doesn't everyone eat a choc coated ice-cream like that!). The price is super competitive for a product of this type and the ice-cream looked much creamier than some of the other 'similar priced' options such as Bulla's Crunch. We are a family of ice cream lovers! when we received this sample, we could wait to collect it and we could hardly wait til friday (true treat night!) to sample it. We all loved it. If it's taken out its packaging, there is hardly any difference compared to the more expensive counterparts. The chocolate covering was nice and smooth. i do find though with ALL ice creams, that the outer chocolate covering is so sweet that you cannot really appreciate the taste of the ice creams. but the inner ice cream was creamy and smooth. The perforated opening comes apart too easily and many in the cabinet were fully or partially opened from handling by customers. I had to reach right to the back to get a packet that was intact.
