If you find that this tool is a little large for on-the-go use, Work Sharp also makes a smaller version of this that just contains the main sharpener, honer, and a fishhook sharpener for camping and fishing. Now I only have to decide where to keep my Pivot Pro, in the shed with my tools, or in the house. For either choice I can hang it on a large hook in plain sight, ready for action.

The tool would skip and jump on the blade of the scissor. Didn't test any of the other sharpeners on this tool from fear of damaging my own tools. This multi-tool is probably not the best thing to use if you like the way your normal sharpening tools work. Although the product looks and feels great, it does not perform well. The packaging shows a three year warranty and it is sad that it may need to be taken advantage of right out of the box. The product packaging does not indicate country of origin and only states that it was designed, calibrated and quality checked in Ashland Oregon using foreign components.

The Pivot PRO Knife & Tool Sharpener is a nice compact tool that can be used to sharpen knives and scissors of various sizes. This is actually my very first knife and scissor sharpening tool that I’ve ever had, so I wanted to make sure I did everything properly and knew exactly what each part of the sharpening tool was best to use for which items. There’s also a diamond plate on the underside of the tool, which is like a file where you can sharpen the blades of heavy tools like an ax for example. I was able to sharpen a pair of old scissors that I have with ease. You get a lot of different options built into a compact tool which will allow you to sharpen multiple types of knives and scissors. I highly recommend this tool for anyone that is looking to renew many different types of blades in your home. The tool itself is made from plastic, but seems very durable and will last a long time. Make sure to read all of the instructions that are included for best results.
