Wow! Sharper than I expected it to be. Removed it from the packaging and was hand washing it when it bit me. Not that it was the knife's fault, we hadn't been introduced. A small injury that only took over a weak to heal. Be careful these are good knives.

Fantastic knives. Very sharp out of the box. Well balanced and comfortable to use.
I bought this for my wife for Christmas, as she always had a problem cutting grilled brats or sausages with her other standard Wusthof knives without getting them to slip or squirt out hot juices when cut. The sharp serrations on this knife cut right through the smooth skin without crushing the sausage, and provides perfect slices every time. Works great on tomatoes as well. She's absolutely delighted. Don't know how we did without it!
Extremely sharp and really makes food prep faster. I feel like a professional (until I cut my finger :)). The weight and shape is perfect. You need the right tools to do the best job. This utility knife is my favorite!
This knife is unbelievable. I don't even feel it cutting through a hard baguette, it's just suddenly at the bottom of the cutting board with beautiful slices.
