On noticing the excellently specified NVMe M2 memory at a very competitive price at CCL it seemed a good opportunity to improve my W10 desktop's performance by replacing the current Adata XPG SX8200 Gen3 device with this faster gen4 M2.Unfortunately, for me, this was not to be realised: I messed up somewhere at the cloning stage and have now ended up with a useless gem! The memory device, although recognised by computer BIOS, is not recognised by Windows (using a USB enclosure) and consequently I am unable to access it to clean it and hopefully re-clone. Obviously a great disappointment not to achieve the expected improvements but a lesson to be learned here - be very careful when cloneing !!It must be worthwhile - if you do it right!JCC

I did a ton of research before I bought this memory module. At the time I bought it, it had the fastest data transfer rates for the price. Initially, I wished the heatsink was pre installed, but I realized the heatsink could interfere with certain devices; besides, installing it wasn’t that big of a deal.Installing this memory module in my PS5 was ridiculously easy; the average 12 year old could do it. So, don’t be intimidated about doing it yourself, even if you’re intimidated by these types of projects. The hardest part was taking off the case, which, if done properly should pop right off with minimal force. If you find yourself pulling hard on the case, you’re doing it wrong. Just don’t forget to screw in the spacer under the module so it doesn’t bend or flex. The stress could damage the module. There are dozen upon dozens of memory modules for the PS5, I’m very happy I chose this one. The speed is amazing! After you install the module, you’ll notice the read/write speed is slightly lower than the module’s rating. That’s just the capability of the PS5, not the module itself. This module allows me to install dozens of additional games on my PS5. My only disappointment is that I didn’t spend the extra money for the 4TB version.Highly, highly recommended.

I did a lot of research before buying this memory expansion card for my PS5. I shopped on all the major sites before deciding this was the best card for the price (I got it on sale for $180).This card rated out in the top 10% of every card I looked at. The box said it was rated at speeds up to 7400MB/s, the fine print indicates that speed was for a PC; it said the speed for a PS5 was 6100MB/s. After I installed mine it measured an impressive 6600MB/s.I've used external drives for my PS4, and the commensurate speed between that and this card shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence,Hats off to Sony for making the PS5 so easy to upgrade. Going from 1TB to 3TBs is a blessing! There are less expensive cards out there, but you get what you pay for. I found myself having to delete one game in order to install another. Not any more!

I believe the drive is defective. While sequential 1M read/writes seem to be inline the sequential 128K writes are below a mechanical hard drive. These average at 1-2Mbs, when I first tried the data transfer I thought the connection was bad but I have tested this drive in three systems, direct to MB, now and various external connections and the performance remains abismal. To add fuel to the fire the drive fails the adata disk check but smart data show that it is perfect health.
I recently installed the ADATA - XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 2TB SSD in my PS5, and it’s been amazing! The installation was easy, and the SSD fits perfectly. The performance boost is incredible with super-fast load times and smoother gameplay. The included heatsink keeps everything cool, even during long gaming sessions. With 2TB of storage, I no longer worry about space. This SSD is a great value and a must-have upgrade for any PS5 owner. Highly recommend!
Perfect upgrade for any desktop machine and laptops this nvme is super fast. I installed it on my 11900k on a gen 4 port and I get sopesa close to 7k mbps which is close to the advertised speeds. Also is super durable the amount of data you can write on it is higher than any other. If you have the option to put 2 and then combine them with a raid 0 that might almost double the speed. I would do it but my MOBO only have one Gen 4x4 slot. It include a very thin heatspreader practical to be used on laptop. I removed it and put a bigger one to use it on my gaming PC. You could use it like this but then there is no fins at the top so you won’t take full advantage of the airflow around it.
This was exactly what i hoped for my husband's Christmas gift. It is perfectly compatible withthe PS5. This more than tripled the internal storage of my husband's PS5. The installation was quick and it formatted to the PS5 in minites. My husband is elated and already uploaded new games to the system. You can not find another heatsink SSD for this cost. Highly recommend it.
Initially I was looking at either the Samsung 980 Pro or the Western Digital SN850 as my expansion storage for ps5, but then I stumbled across this drive. I’ve used ADATA SSDs in the past with mixed results, but after seeing the specs and the fact it came with a heat sink that fit within Sony’s dimensions, for the price ($145 at the time of purchase) I had to give it a chance.Well long story short is that this is the best value ps5 expansion option. Period. Unlike many drives out there, including some of ADATA’s own drives, you get access to the full 1TB drive space. Compare this to Ps5’s internal 825GB drive that only affords you 667GB of usable storage (even less after reserved space for essential system files). Or the 2TB SX8200 Pro I’m using in my own pc at the moment which is in reality only 1.82TB. This means more storage for your money. After a very quick 2 minute installation, I booted my ps5 up and formatted the SSD. Rated speed was about 6200MB/s which isn’t maxing out PCIe gen 4, but exceeds the 5500MB/s Sony requirement. No issues with temperatures thanks to the included heat sink, which makes this thing an even better value than it’s competition. I was worried 1TB wouldn’t be enough for my needs but thanks to Sony’s proprietary file compression, I was able to install my entire PS Plus library with half the drive to spare still. 2TB would’ve been absolutely overkill for my needs. All in all, if you find this drive for $150 or less you should definitely pick it up.
Please don't purchase until you read my review. I bought this drive on 4/16/22 for my ps5. It came with the heatsink and I was able to put in the Ps5. The heatsink was taken off the drive over a month ago to install in my pc because I never played the ps5.I started having issues in my PC where the drive wouldn't show up in Windows. It would happen every 3-4 weeks and I would reboot which would fix my issue. Here in the past week it did it 3 times in a week.I went to the ADATA website to download a software package that would allow me to download a firmware update. The firmware update couldn't install to the drive because it couldn't find the drive in the dropdown. The firmware update couldn't install to the drive because it couldn't find the drive in the dropdown. I contacted support to do some of their stuff to the drive with them eventually telling me to RMA the drive.I went to RMA the drive today and the support has made every excuse not to warranty the product because of a sticker on the drive. They also wanted a serial number on the drive and because I couldn't supply it they don't want my product sent in. Their website on the RMA section clearly says to fill out what you have and not to worry about the Serial number.I don't every have issues with my technology devices failing adn I don't normally do a review but in this case I spent over 200 on a 2TB drive they won't stand up to their warranty.I purchased a new Western Digital Black drive yesterday because I already have one in my computer that works well. Please pass on this because the price doesn't help on a cheap branch because they don't back the warranty. From my knowledge they make crap products and they know it.Move on and find something better.
The XPG Gammix S70 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD was brand new in the sealed original package. It installed easily and works perfect as expected. it is especially nice too that it has a true DRAM cache, unlike the vast majority of ultra cheap SSDs on the market these days. I would definitely purchase from this Seller in the future.
