My family and friends really enjoyed this game! It is VERY easy to learn (there is nothing worse than getting excited to play a board game, and then having to sit down for 45 min to read the rules), and it is very quick to play. So if you are impatient (or you have a room full of impatient kids) then this is the game for you, it is very easy to walk in, sit down, and immediately start having fun. We do a lot of camping, so I love that it all packs up into a little sack, and there isn't a complicated setup, so it would be very easy to play around the campfire! My adult friends enjoyed it, and so did my 7 year old and all of her friends. This is a perfect family game night option!

Played this with a few buddies while were were watching sports and hanging out. Really fun and really light bluffing game that gets surprisingly intense. Had a few bits of yelling and hard laughs when people get caught bluffing. Strikes that balance for this type of games where it feels like you’re being strategic, but really anything could go any way at any time. That’s the best part though - the game is goofy and simple enough to play and enjoy at a bar or brewery or the like. Everyone in my crew loved it.

Would be best with more people, tried it once with two people to try it out and just didn’t give off the same fun energy as with more players. The limit is pretty low for the amount you need to win so I do think it that was intentional so you could do a best of 3 type solution if the rounds go too quickly. Very simple game that can be taught quickly and also very compact/portable so it’s easy to take with you somewhere.

This is a good game to pull out with a group of people that want something quick and easy to play but does still require some thought and strategy. It can easily be modified for house rules which we love. My family and friends really enjoyed it. My favorite thing was watching adults not care about hurting a child’s feelings in order to win and then watching their face when they find out she could actually hide 7 bad things in her hand without having them show. Lots of laughing!
Our family loves game night and this game from Exploding Kittens - You Lying Sack is the perfect addition to our game nights. Its perfect for adults, as well as children. Thats what I love about this game, the kids can participate! are you a bluffer, can you fool your friends and family without loosing your game face? Its so hilarious watching everyone play and participate in this game. Its the perfect addition to any game night and I highly recommend it!
So first and foremost trust issues definitely became a thing lol. Jokes aside this game is so easy to play and it’s fun for everyone one. We kept catching ourselves playing again and again. We definitely learned a lot about our poker faces. Myself I’m horrible at it but my sister let me tell you a total pro. We can’t wait to have game night again. If you had any doubts about buying it this is your sign to go buy it. Like now!

When playing with littles you also don't have to worry about having 2 hands to hold all your bad things because of small hands.That is just a suggestion. It's fun just there is better bluffing games. We decided to add some more word play in too but over all its wasn't a win for us.
I did not find You Lying Sack to be much fun to play. The directions were easy to read and follow but I did not appreciate the game. The group I played with felt the same. The game is quick but seems pointless as all it seems you are doing is asking the same question over and over. The game pieces felt cheap to handle and I am not sure how long the foam pieces will last. In addition, I was put off by the title and picture as it seems like a game that would be for adults only and not playable with kids (it is totally able to be played with kids if you thought the same thing as me). I will not be putting this in my normal game rotation. I received this product for free from Tryazon.
Received this game compliments of @Tryazon in exchange for my honest opinion and review. I honestly didn't like the game pieces this game came with. They are very cheap and feel gross when touching them (texture is off-putting). The game itself is very easy and quick. One can get bored easily playing it. When I fould out this retailed for $19.99 I was absolutely shocked. There is no way I would spend that on this nor is it worth that. Wouldn't recommend this game to others.
There's not much to this game. Sure, it's easy enough for kids to play with parents, but we didn't find it very entertaining. Once a few people are 'eliminated', they have to sit and wait a long time for the rets of the players to finish the game and determine a winner. We didn't love that. We also didn't love that the strategy kind of goes out the window at some points during the game (this makes more sense when you're actually playing, just trust me). Overall it wasn't one of our favorite exploding kitten games.
