Within 5 seconds of spraying it I was reaching for my wallet. It is GORGEOUS. This is like a family heirloom. When I was younger my grandmother and mother would wear this. I didn't really like it so much. Now this scent hits different, this scent is purely divine. This is a must have in my perfume collection. In my opinion this perfume gives an air of sensuality, femininity, power and a bit of mystery. I am turning 35 on the 20th of October so I had to gift myself this scent. This will be my new scent for years to come.

I've worn Youth Dew for 52 years and always thought it was absolutely the best scent with incredible staying power. Even my clothes pulled out of the hamper smelled of it. My cache was low and I ordered more. The edp is a shadow of its former self. It doesn't smell as deliciously sexy and has little staying power. Changing the formula for this iconic perfume was insane and I'm angry. Life will not be the same. Before I got constant complements on it. No longer.
I love this fragrance. I've honestly never smelled anything else like it. It's a deep with spice and florals and almost powdery. When I wear It I always get random compliments. The fragrance lasts all day long and if you want to make that sort of statement then try this one out. Please don't stop making this and don't mess with the formula for it is perfect! My only concern is it has been tweaked a bit. Or is this the original formula?
I recently purchased a bottle of Youth Dew EDP from Dillards. I fell in love with this scent years ago when my mother received it from her employer. I have been wearing it daily for about 15 years. Until this recent purchase it reminded me of my mother who passed two and a half years ago. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this recent purchase. Everyone knows this is my signature scent. But I could not even tell it was the same perfume. There is only a hint of the rich smell when I first spray it on and it clings to nothing. Even the color is lighter. Not happy at all.
I just received this bottle of Youth Dew which I bought from Estee Lauder to insure I didn't get a counterfeit. I have worn this fragrance exclusively for 45+years and this bottle is nothing like the others. I couldn't even identify this as Youth Dew it is so different. Also, there is no "staying power" to it at all. Why on earth would you change a long lasting best seller? I am so disappointed. My 4 year old grandson even said, "Nana, you smell different". That too really makes me sad as I want the grandchildren to know Nana's scent and remember me for it. I am really disappointed in Estee Lauder for changing this.

Anyway, the fix goes like this...I worked for Elizabeth Arden for a lot of years and obviously we all helped out wherever whenever on perfumery when it was sheer madness at Xmas. The problem with non spraying was far and away the most common reason for return and fixed usually inside 30 seconds. It was lovely to see so many disappointed wivesgirlfriends so happy when they could use the bottle that their bloved had bought for them. Heres the fixI hope this helps turn the bottle upside down completely and pump the spray maybe half a dozen times. Then turn the bottle the right way up and do the same again. Towards the end of the 6 or7 upright sprays, the fragrance will start spraying properly. The reason that the bottle isnt dispensing properly to start with is that theres air trapped in the plastic tube leading down into the bottle, usually from either being stored upside down or transported that way. The fragrancesespecially at Xmas, in boxes of maybe 50 or 100 bottles, were packed into the storage rooms any way we could do them there was just so much stock. Anyway, this quick fix honestly did work 99 times out of 100, resulting in happy customers and consultants sales targets met grin. Feel free to pass this tip to any and all people who wear fragranceafter shave etc. and I really hope it helps you. Btw, I know it doesnt need saying but this works with all pump sprays Happy spraying p.s. This applies to travelling too. I know its unavoidable in luggage when travelling abroad, but try and make sure your fragrance stays upright in your vanity case or whatever if youre travelling at home.
