YSL Make Me Blush Liquid

I adore this blush, but I recognize what works for me doesn’t necessarily work for others—see Golloria’s review on Instagram. I think it’s bizarre and ridiculous that when products come out nowadays, they are not inclusive and don’t have a decent shade range, so please take this review with a grain of salt. It’s not universal. On me, it’s easy to build up which I really appreciate. It’s pigmented, but blends in so easily into the skin and looks so natural—it doesn’t look like it sits on top of it but looks like a genuine flush. The matte capsule packaging with the shiny cap is an interesting choice, but I think if the cap were matte, it’d be harder to clean, so even that seems like a thoughtful detail. It’s not universal. On me, it’s easy to build up which I really appreciate. It’s pigmented, but blends in so easily into the skin and looks so natural—it doesn’t look like it sits on top of it but looks like a genuine flush. The matte capsule packaging with the shiny cap is an interesting choice, but I think if the cap were matte, it’d be harder to clean, so even that seems like a thoughtful detail. I really like the shade that I picked, since it has a slight coral tone. There are lots of other liquid blushes out there at a fraction of the price, but if you’re into luxury makeup brands and you prefer a liquid blush, this one is a solid choice only under the assumption that there’s something in the collection for your preferred shade.

I actually really liked this! the pigment was amazing, and it lasted all night. i’m very used to getting home after wearing my makeup for 6-8 hours and having my blush look almost nonexistent - but i swear this blush lasted (near) full pigment for 12+ hours! i don’t have to reapply my blush after 2 hours? amazing. it blurs beautifully, and nude lavalliere is such a pretty color too, although i would like to see more of a brighter pink in the same line (other than the other pink in this line). I think this is probably the best liquid blush formula I have ever used. The only thing that could make it more perfect (for me) is releasing shades with shimmer. This blush melts into the skin and blends out in an instant. It’s super forgiving, and good for beginners and more advanced makeup lovers. I got compliments on this the very first day I wore it, and I don’t usually wear pink blush so they really got this shade right for the olive toned girls. It will definitely show up on deep skinned people, so that’s a necessity! Excuse the awkward photos, I included a picture of it on my skin (I have a medium-dark skin tone with olive undertones). I only have the blush on my cheeks (as well as a bit of powder and setting spray) in order to keep the integrity of the color. It is definitely more vibrant in real life, and more beautiful too. There aren’t filters on the photos. Again, the only thing I can think of regarding improving would be releasing some shimmer shades. I need a shimmery peachy pink on this formula! Overall, a top blush for me now.

Going into my daily routine

I really love this formula, it is a liquid formula but once blended turned into almost a satin like powder formula it’s not dewy at all. Which is nice because I don’t always want a dewy look. It’s not as drying as a matte finish though. It is very very lightweight yet pigmented at the same time I have medium golden skin tone and the shade nude was perfect it wasn’t ashy or grey like some light pink blushes can look on me. I just put one dot on each cheek and it is perfect. As for a longevity, I am very surprised about how long this actually last on my skin as with more Dewey blushes they tend to last only a few hours before having to reapply, but I think because of the formula of this, and that it turns kind of into a satin powder on the skin it actually last for hours I put it on this morning and it is evening time now and I still can see it on my skin going strong.

Good but a little finicky

All of the shades are gorgeous but I chose fuchsia because I love myself a good, vibrant pink blush. It looks bright in the tube and when it’s on the wand but as it blends out it definitely tones down a little. It feels really lightweight on the skin and just looks like it’s your skin. It’s not matte but it’s not glowy it’s just looks like a natural flush. I had a little trouble blending it with my fingers and with a sponge but it was fairly easy to blend and work with when I used a brush. If you use too much it can’t get patchy regardless what tool you’re using. Love everything about this blush, color is amazing

I recieved this product for free from Influenster and YSL in exchange for my honest review. I really love this blush. It looks great on it’s own for a natrual look but it is buildable, so you could do full glam with it aswell. The packaging is so pretty, the applicator is a perfect size, and it’s a good sized bottle. This is extremely blendable and the color Coral Clash is gorgeous! I’ve never tried a coral blush before and this made me fall in love it is so so pretty! The finish is a beautiful matte and it doesn’t dry out your skin or look patchy at all. This blush is extremely pigmented and still looked great on my skin after hours. This product feels very high end and is an amazing blush.

Luxe and buildable

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I love this blush. I tend to have somewhat oily skin, so I've only tried a few cream products. What surprised me is how natural this can look - it's very pigmented when you first apply but you can sheer it out to such a subtle finish or build it up by layering. The longevity is only ok, I'd say about 3-4 hours if you don't set it with powder.I have pale, olive tone skin, and the 37 is a great natural pink. I applied it by putting some on the back of my hand and using a flat sponge (from a cushion foundation) to tap it onto my cheeks. It took a little time to get an even, sheer wash, but it's worth it. I’ve never gotten into nude blush before, but I LOVE the way it looks on my once skin. It translates more like a natural pink on my skin tone and is so pretty. The only thing is that if you’re any darker than me, it may not show up well on you. I preferred to apply this blush with a stiff brush, applying to my hand and picking up the blush on my brush evenly before tapping it in on my cheek. This method gave me an even, flawless application with no patching. The blush was not sticky and seemed to dry down without fading. The color is warmer than my preference, I found it to conflict with certain cool toned contours but paired with a warmer toned bronzer it melded perfectly. This is a preference matter, however, and the performance of the product for me was faultless. I definitely recommend this product if you find a tone you enjoy!
