10x tough says it all. I've been using these Minnow Z for a couple of years and I'm so impressed. I've caught over 40 bass on one bait. They don't tear off of the hook and the fish don't shred them like other plastics. Great job. I'm a loyal/happy customer.

These baits are extremely durable and offer a great presentation. We have a lot of long nose Gar around here and they will latch onto plastics and usually rip them in half unless I’m using a Z-man plastic. Then they just let go when you start pulling them out of the water and 90% of the time the plastic is still perfectly fine.

I rig this lure on two rods every day in two colors in Port A. First cast or second, it always finds a fish. Sometimes a red, a trout or a croaker. Fish see it as eye candy and eat it without hesitation. I have three colors light, medium and dark depending on water conditions. Get two or three colors to start. You will soon find the ones that work best for you. And they last a long time. Reel fisherman, fish Z-man.

Zman baits are the best. Got my pack of Minnowz in baby bass 2 days ago and finally headed to the water today. About my 4th cast caught a 1 lb 13 oz largemouth. Not huge, but a nice fish. I have these in several colors. Hot snakes has also been very productive. Great swimming action that bass just can't resist. The Elaztech baits are tough. Good for catching multiple fish, and dragging through cover. It can take a real beating.
For years, I have been fishing primarily brackish waters for stripers, specks, and drum using a variety of softbait lures. Without question, the Z-man Elaztech paddletails, specifically the DieZel/MinnowZ rigged with the Texas eye jighead has been the most consistent in catching fish. The paddle tails have great action and can be fished a variety of ways. They are very durable and do not lose color or shape over time. The one minor issue I have, although not unique to Z-Man, is that sometimes after much use, the paddle tail doesn't always stay rigged in position and can slide down. I keep a little super glue in my tackle bag to take care of that. Overall a great product.
I have used these baits for both fresh and saltwater fishing and they work great for both. As most people find they can be a little tricky to put onto a jig head but once you get the hang of it they stay onto the jig much better than other soft baits. I have found that working these baits slowly along the bottom produces the best results for bass and other species. You can use the same bait all day and catch multiple fish on it opposed to other baits that tear easily. I find that a 1/8 oz trout eyz jig head is a perfect match for this size bait. I have had success with many colors but opening night and green lantern are my two favorites.
I love the 4" Bad Shad, The Deal, and the Pearl. especially with the Trout Eye jighead. The action is good and if I need a little more buoyancy, a few quick stretches of the bait and boom. It's like a different bait. If you're not using a jighead with a good bait keeper there are a few tricks you can use. Superglue will work, but I like to use another hook and pull a loop of the ElaZtech material over the hook eye to keep it in place. (YouTube search "7 ElaZtech Hacks" and you'll find a tutorial by ZMan.)
This crab looking bait leaves its claw, which has the feature of a paddle tail, dragging behind as it glides through the surrounding waters. I like this amazing design of the new kicker crabs because of how realistic they seem as they make their way attracting any sort of fish. I oppose this lure because of how quickly the claw was torn and devoured by a vicious underwater animal.
I tried zman for the first time thanks to salt strong. They had a deal to buy a pack of a color the designed i guess, but it worked great. So i found them on this site for a good deal. They do not have the particular color salt string sold me but a large variety of others. So i bought a bunch of different colors to try. I caught a ton of trout and redfish on the salt strong color, morning glory, new penny, pinfish, rootbeer and last but not least sexy mullet. They are tough unlike gulp! I caught prob 5 trout on 1 bait. You do need to buy a jighead with good bait keepers or you will be moving the bait every throw, so invest in good jig heads like h&h tout. They work great and are not $$$ like zman jig heads which work great but if you saltwater fish with jigheads you ... MoreI tried zman for the first time thanks to salt strong. I use the Calico Candy or Red Shad Minnowz for smallies on Mille Lacs and do really well on both. When the bass want a Ned rig I like to take a Big TRD in Green Pumpkin Goby and cut about a half inch off and use it that way. I think it triggers more big bites that way. For topwater I just started throwing jerk shads on a plain hook. This works much better than poppers or prop baits on most days. You just can't go wrong with Z Man!
