Use this on a 1/2 oz or 3/4oz spro bucktail and hold on for that thump. Excellent durability and great action on the tail. Have caught countless numbers of fluke on one bait with no issues. Last longer than any other swim baits hands down.

I rig this lure on two rods every day in two colors in Port A. First cast or second, it always finds a fish. Sometimes a red, a trout or a croaker. Fish see it as eye candy and eat it without hesitation. I have three colors light, medium and dark depending on water conditions. Get two or three colors to start. You will soon find the ones that work best for you. And they last a long time. Reel fisherman, fish Z-man.

Zman baits are the best. Got my pack of Minnowz in baby bass 2 days ago and finally headed to the water today. About my 4th cast caught a 1 lb 13 oz largemouth. Not huge, but a nice fish. I have these in several colors. Hot snakes has also been very productive. Great swimming action that bass just can't resist. The Elaztech baits are tough. Good for catching multiple fish, and dragging through cover. It can take a real beating.

Love using these baits and doa 3" Cal shads.These baits are very durable , long lasting , strongCons pain in the butt to rig , only get 6 baits in a pack for the price , some baits you can't even use once due to then sliding right off the jigheads and weedless hooks. Can't cast straight into the wind or with a wind that's on a angle.These baits are great for a small light wind anything about 5 to 8 mph winds you are better off going to a heavy plastic bait like doa for example that will cast into the winds.As a Wade Angler casting into the wind is the only way to fish sometimes. Thus I have to use 2 different baits.Other then those few different cons I still RECOMMEND these baits
For years, I have been fishing primarily brackish waters for stripers, specks, and drum using a variety of softbait lures. Without question, the Z-man Elaztech paddletails, specifically the DieZel/MinnowZ rigged with the Texas eye jighead has been the most consistent in catching fish. The paddle tails have great action and can be fished a variety of ways. They are very durable and do not lose color or shape over time. The one minor issue I have, although not unique to Z-Man, is that sometimes after much use, the paddle tail doesn't always stay rigged in position and can slide down. I keep a little super glue in my tackle bag to take care of that. Overall a great product.
I have used these baits for both fresh and saltwater fishing and they work great for both. As most people find they can be a little tricky to put onto a jig head but once you get the hang of it they stay onto the jig much better than other soft baits. I have found that working these baits slowly along the bottom produces the best results for bass and other species. You can use the same bait all day and catch multiple fish on it opposed to other baits that tear easily. I find that a 1/8 oz trout eyz jig head is a perfect match for this size bait. I have had success with many colors but opening night and green lantern are my two favorites.
This crab looking bait leaves its claw, which has the feature of a paddle tail, dragging behind as it glides through the surrounding waters. I like this amazing design of the new kicker crabs because of how realistic they seem as they make their way attracting any sort of fish. I oppose this lure because of how quickly the claw was torn and devoured by a vicious underwater animal.
I usually go with gulp for flounder but they they get chewed up too fast and are far too expensive. Bought the white 3” swim baits to fish on a jig head instead and put them in the gulp fluid. It is perfect. These baits hold together so well the pinkish can’t tear them apart. Flounder love ‘em.
I tried zman for the first time thanks to salt strong. They had a deal to buy a pack of a color the designed i guess, but it worked great. So i found them on this site for a good deal. They do not have the particular color salt string sold me but a large variety of others. So i bought a bunch of different colors to try. I caught a ton of trout and redfish on the salt strong color, morning glory, new penny, pinfish, rootbeer and last but not least sexy mullet. They are tough unlike gulp! I caught prob 5 trout on 1 bait. You do need to buy a jighead with good bait keepers or you will be moving the bait every throw, so invest in good jig heads like h&h tout. I use the Calico Candy or Red Shad Minnowz for smallies on Mille Lacs and do really well on both. When the bass want a Ned rig I like to take a Big TRD in Green Pumpkin Goby and cut about a half inch off and use it that way. I think it triggers more big bites that way. For topwater I just started throwing jerk shads on a plain hook. This works much better than poppers or prop baits on most days. You just can't go wrong with Z Man!
