This new Ryobi P21012 18 volt blower is surprisingly powerful. The brushless motor seems pretty battery efficient. It is lightweight and the trigger is easy to pull. I've noticed a slight delay to get full speed, but it's not an issue. My favorite feature is the variable speed controlled by the trigger. The unit is well balanced and easy to maneuver around. I have several Ryobi products and am once again totally satisfied with my choice.

18v leaf blower

Well designed light duty cordless blower, best used by shorter people. If using for snow clearing, it lacks enough power to really do the job. A gas or 40v blower might be a better choice for snow. Also, if you’re 6 feet tall, the nozzle is too short to get close enough to the ground without constantly bending over. Will probably work fine for dry leaves and light duty garden blowing.

Another RYOBI HIT

Replaced a older model, what a difference. Easy to use, slot bigger but not any heaver. Does a great job and sounds powerful. Love 18 volt system, I must have 20 items working on system.

I have everything Ryobi and this does not disappoint. High quality construction and the air force is more that sufficient for cleaning leaves or debris. Air force is a function of the battery and I suggest the 4 AMP battery.

Great blower, just a little heavy.

Out of the box, battery installed (after charging) blows just enough to blow wet leaves loose from pavement and dry leaves in large piles. I have a small yard and not too many trees, so this unit work just right. My next visit to the roof for blowing out gutters is still in the works, but based on what I have experiences so far, it will do a nice job and quickly. I have many Ryobi 18V batteries, and have just purchased two new 5AH units. I have used this unit through 5 complete battery charges. It takes a few seconds to spin up to speed and isn't instant as my old unit is, but once it up to speed it is great. It is fairly light, the air is more than enough to blow away leaves and to make the much created by the mower to disappear into the grass. The variable switch is sooo much better then the 1 or 2 speed switch that you find on other blowers. Well built, great design and easy to store. The only problem, if you can call it a problem, is that RYOBI 's manuals that come with their products are pretty much useless in their description on how to put device together and how to use it. You can't beat the performance, looks and ease of use of this leaf blower. P.S. I took a dog leash and rigged up a harness for this blower, now I can walk around with no strain at all on my arms!

Quick Fix

Great Item. I love it. It is flexible and pretty powerful. I have an Echo gas blower which is very powerful for big jobs, But the Ryobi blower is really handy for quick clean ups on the patio before guests arrive. And when the leaves are coming down its a quick fix to clean up entry ways to the house and the patio door before the dog comes in. I highly recomend it.

The Ryobi blower works great. It is very handy for blowing out the garage and house driveway. The battery is good for about fifteen minutes of full power work which is fine.

There is a delay in the trigger mechanis...

There is a delay in the trigger mechanism not sure if that is the way it is suppose to function or not. Its about a second or two from activation until the unit starts.
