Just as it's ment to work opens and closes no need to wave your hand around just put your hand near it and it'll open like magic!!.The only down side I can say is if you walk passed it closely it opens but it's not a big deal and the batteries seem to last which by the way you need to supply yourself 4 AA batteries.

What a great unit. No more mess around the opening to the bin thanks to the auto lid which opens and closes automatically when it senses movement at close range. Great capacity and easy to empty and reline. No hesitation in recommending this product.
We love the look of this bin, it doesn't look out of place anywhere in the kitchen.If you look up close you'll find that the lid is made of plastic and the walls of the can are a little thin. This bothered us a little at first because we felt the quality would've been higher given the price, but once you start using it you quickly forget about it and the convenient lid and sleek styling take centre stage.
Very poor quality product. It worked for 1 week and then the remote stopped. using it manually now. Not worth buying this product.
Who wants a stylish bin? We all do. Shiny, large and can open without touching to take all the rubbish. So impressed I bought a second for recycling. Twice as happy!
I love how you don't have to touch the bin to open it and it closes itself stays clean. I found when you pull out the full bag its a bit hard to get out as things get caught on the rim. Very light thought it would be a bit heavier. Overall wish I had one years ago. I recommend this product.
Sensor worked well for about 3 weeks and then decided to start opening and immediately closing. So while you’re throwing some thing out, the lid will immediately close while trying to throw rubbish. Leading to spilling stuff everywhere.Useless bin! Don’t buy
