7artisans 10mm f/2.8 to F22 Lens For Canon (RF Mount)
The fixed focal length from 7Artisans offers a dramatic 178° angle of view and features manual focus. The highlight of the lens, besides the unique perspective, is the creative distortions. The lens can be used for travel as well as landscapes, panoramas and night scenes. The robust lens has eleven elements in eight groups, plus a low dispersion HOYA element. This allows you to shoot with reduced chromatic aberrations. Even if the light is not optimal, you can take impressive pictures with the 7Artisans 10 mm F2.8. The wideangle lens features an enlarged angle of view. It differs from normal lenses by its shorter focal length. This shorter focal length increases the angle of view, making subjects appear smaller and allowing more to be captured in the photo. In addition, the wideangle lens creates a highly visible effect of spatial depth objects in the distance appear even farther away, giving your images an impressive sense of depth. This lens can be focused manually only. Although manual focusing takes longer and is more demanding than working with autofocus, it does offer some advantages: It allows you to focus on exactly the point you want, enabling you to take shots that are exactly what you want. You also prefer to focus manually in situations where autofocus would quickly become overwhelmed for example, in low light, smooth surfaces with little texture, or in foggy weather.

Watched/read several reviews of this lens before buying. All were very complementary and, to my surprise, accurate. Excellent lens, sharp, good contrast, excellent color rendition.

I think this is one of the BEST and AFFORDABLE 10mm Full Frame Fish-Eye Lens available.I have tried this lens on Interior, Architecture, Star Trails, Videos, and Portraits with 10mm and 35mm crop on my Sony A7 IV. The quality was excellent and crisp.178° angle of view makes it amazing, with less distortion at the corners. You can also check my full YouTube review or check my Instagram for more photos.Youtube - 7Artisans 10mm Nimit NigamInstagram - NimitNigam

For the few dozen or so of us left that still love the fisheye look, this thing is perfect. Very affordable and the image quality is sharp. The edges are softer but that is to be expected from most super wide lenses anywhere near this price point. If you shoot with a wide aperture, you won't even notice since the background will always be out of focus anyways, so the edges don't matter much for me personally. I am using this on the R5 C and I can't begin to express the joy of being able to shoot fisheye with its full distortion glory in 8k up to 60fps in RAW. I have the 16mm canon prime but it's just not the same, I need that fisheye distortion.
Wanted to try fisheye photography. This lens is a great value. Fits the RF mount (I have a Canon R6) directly. The manual dials for focus and apperture are firm and easy to use. I had to change a setting to allow shutter to release when lens not attached because there are no electric connections, thus no auto-focus, etc. I've gotten fun sharp pictures. I use it in bursts, so I don't recommend this as a MAIN lens, but it will get your creative juices flowing!
I purchased both the 10mm and 11mm Artisans and found the 11mm definitely sharper when comparing lettering at 400% on a calendar in a room shot, however at 4 inches the 10mm was amazing. Purely by accident while shooting tests with the 10mm with the Lumix S1r I focused the camera on a pad of paper I had written notes on in pencil. Along side of the pad were 8 or so new Dixon pencils with gold stamped lettering all sitting on a dining room table cluttered with computers etc. At f8 with the lens so close the background dropped beautifully, but what astounded me was the detail of the lead pencil writing on the paper the the gold leaf stamping on the pencils. Photo had Color, contrast and even a bit of micro detail in the paper texture and writing. Based on this and ... Colors are accurate and vibrant. Lens is seemingly well corrected for this type of work with Capture one correcting purple fringes. For room shots and sharpness stick with 11mm unless you need the extra angle.
FF Sony body....bought this to broaden my perspectives. Enjoying very much, seems to give me photos most closely associated with what my eyes see in some scenes. I know that goes against conventional wisdom, as it shouldnt be necessary to use a 10mm for that. Just my experience.
This is a fun little lens that doesn't cost an arm and leg. Because of the 10mm focal length, it is nearly impossible to have anything not in focus. Fit and finish are well done. Reasonably sharp. This lens has some heft to it - feels real solid. Comes with a nice little zipper pouch. Glad to have it my bag.
Manual focus and manual aperture, but because of that, great price and size. I love just carrying it along. Very solidly build. From what I've seen so far the resolution and clarity are top-notch. When zooming in on the Z62 screen while focusing, I'm surprised on how much that helps, and also how much of a difference good focusing makes on the fisheye! You can really see what comes into focus and not, instead of just assuming everything is in focus on a fisheye! I can't wait to play around with this more.
After reading several online reviews of the 7artisans 10mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens, I recently purchased one for my Nikon Z 8. It does not disappoint. This lens is incredible and a great value! It is a manual focus lens, but if you are shooting anything farther away than a foot, just set the focus ring to infinity. The lens has almost no lens flare and you can get a beautiful starburst even shooting at f/8. The images I have produced so far are very sharp. It is also a great lens for night sky photography, giving you a very wide filled of view of the night sky. This lens stays in my camera bag!
