This lens reminds me of a cross between the old Asahi Pentax Super-Takumar lenses and a soft version of the Sigma 40mm f1.4 lens, when used with a short extension tube for close up work. The bokeh and flair make a magic mix in the right light for artistic effect... The center image can be razor sharp at times in these close ups and then drop focus faster than any lens I have worked with. The overall effect is elegant and with beautifully rendered accurate colors. At infinity the softness is high in corners when wide open, as expected. I cannot wait to try some BW portraits wide open. A True artist lens in right hands. Extremely well made. ( I shoot S1R Lumix)

I enjoy using manual lenses on my Fuji cameras, and this one's a bargain. At this price point, I can hardly ask for more.I had previously used the 7Artisans 35mm f0.95 lens, which I found too bulky and heavy, plus more than double the price.This lens fits what I needed just right. It feels solidly built without being overly heavy, considering it's metal and glass. It mounts and balances well on the X-T2, even better than the kit 18-55, which is mostly plastic. The focus ring is smooth and precise and I don't mind the aperture ring being clickless, since the aperture data isn't transmitted to the camera anyway.Image quality is better than expected for the price. Just got my package yesterday for this! So far it feels and look nice. There's a click to it when moving the aperture, I love that. For some reason it's kinda hard to mount it on my Sony a7III. Haven't taken a photo with it yet but will do so today.

Using this on my Olympus OMD EMark II. Was looking for a prime lens to mimic shooting my film Olympus and it works perfectly for that. My own fault for not reading all the way through, but I do wish this had the option for auto/manual focus. This is a full manual use lens, but I still really do enjoy it.
Got this lens as my 1st prime lens and it's fantastic for the price! Had to make some changes to the cameras auto-focus settings as it is a manual focus lens but would recommend!
This is a great little lens. Heavier than expected, but in a good way. Doesn't feel cheaply made and smooth controls. Would definitely buy again I like it that much. Great little lens.
I tested this lens right out of the box with my Panasonic GH5 and I was pleasantly surprised by the image quality at UHD, 24p, 422 10 bit ALL-I. The image and colors were crisp and clear and the shallow depth of field at F2 looked fabulous. This is a small and light lens, great for handheld, up close work. If this lens holds up well over moderate use, I got the bargain of the century!
I cannot believe this is a $69 dollar lens. I just tested it out on my Panasonic GH5 and the picture quality is surprisingly good! It gives a fabulous shallow depth of field at F2 and the image is very sharp and clear. It's a very small and light lens, perfect for handheld and close work. As with other reviews, yes, I agree, the lens cap does not stay on when a UV filter is attached to the 49 mm lens front. However, the compensations of this lens outweigh the lens cap issue. Now, let's hope this lens holds up during moderate use.
Great balance with the weight and I love the compact size. I bought it on price and size and low light capability. It checks all those boxes. I can't objectively speak to image quality.... But I think it's good.
Great build, nice weight, at an excellent price. I want a fast 50mm equivalent so I grabbed this since I rarely ever shoot at 50. I'm impressed, it's sharp dead center with good dof.
