I could write a novel listing all faults and misrepresentations for this product, but here are just a few. The number of "pre drilled" holes that are supposed to align can be counted on one hand. Expect to have to drill all holes because almost none of them line up. The "self tapping" screws they claim are included were nothing but plain pan head sheet metal screws. The panels on the sides where the top edge is tapered? They did not match up, they were off by over an inch, so the snap on rail could never clip on? Oh, and then there were the missing parts. I eventually did get them, but had to wait weeks. Perhaps I am expecting too much for a $1000 shed, but I cannot, in good conscience, recommend anyone purchasing this shed. Oh, and all the YT videos showing how "easy" it is to erect...if you look closely, you will see that all those predrilled holes they speak of, were indeed REDRILLED AND preassembled, disassembled and THEN reassembled on camera! How do I know? Look at the holes as they are screwing in the sheet metal screws....they have the tell tale circle around the holes made by the jaws of the drill chuck! Well, this is enough. Caveat emptor.

Decent for the price. Follow the YouTube video and assembly is fine.

For example, when I found holes not lining up, it was just a matter of pushing or pulling the panels or channels so the holes lined up. E.g. I almost started to drill new holes in the top channels to fit the roof but all I needed to do was slide the top channels so they lined up with the corner holes. Then it was much easier to manipulate the other holes in the panels to line up. As mentioned earlier, some decent gloves make this so much easier as they make gripping the metal a cinch. I got these. https://www.bunnings.com.au/mechanix-wear-small-speedknit-cr5-gloves_p0108765I didn’t read any other reviews that mentioned that they include a drill bit and a Phillips driver bit which was nice touch. Especially when they’re needed to attach the door hinges. While I didn’t have to drill any *new* holes for reasons I have already mentioned, I did have to complete some existing holes that weren’t properly punched through. But the included drill bit made it really easy.As another reviewer has already mentioned, the roof screws seem problematic so I’ll be replacing them ASAP with roof screws. And the same reviewer also called out the hinge screws which were definitely too large to fit flush, but I just followed the video went with the pop-rivet option to fit the hinges as I already had the tool. Which seemed to work fine.TL:DL: decent shed for the dosh. Take your time and follow the YouTube video for assembly and you should be fine.

Items were sent not long after.Putting the panels together. to make up the sides and roof was not difficult following the step-by-step instructions. Only thinking required was because I wanted the door to be on the other side which meant, the side panels, roof panel and braces, needed swapping to the other end. I did enquire with the Absco help line about this before-hand to check. When putting the High Portal Frame assembly together, is to draw the pattern on the concrete or cardboard. Make sure you have a straight edge on the bottom. I used a square piece of cardboard which I made up using the packaging that the shed came in. Then draw the frames to the exact dimensions. Then lay down the frames and make sure that they are square before screwing together. The sides and roof did come together with a nudge here and there, resulting in coming together okay.I did not use the shed immediately, waited, to weather test for any abnormal leaks. I did find water slowing seeping in from the side panels on the gable and fixed with sealing silicon. I did find with very heavy rain with strong-winds, leaked on the roof ridge cap where the two-roof end joined together. Fixed using strong aluminium duct tape.Inside of the shed, lined with insulation, keeping it cool in the summer.Used racking to save and utilise the space. LED lighting used for light. This is a decent size she, which suits my purpose.

Great price but awkward assembly
17 January 2023

Bought this from Bunnings for just under $500AUD (with discount).Pretty heavy boxes so you'll need two people to lift.A combination of the app and paper instructions was helpful in the assembly process. Would recommend using both and watching each section on video before attempting.Unfortunately my biggest gripe was that the holes didn't line up. Had to drill a number of new holes because of this has meant that my shed door hasn't lined up properly. Would be nice if there was a more precise manufacturing process but I guess that's what makes the price lower than other sheds?Assembly probably takes 3-6+ hours depending on your assembly pace and how many people are helping. Great shed but frankly a pain to assemble.

Absolutely best thing about this shed is the price. Colour is very attractive too. When assembled it's a neat and tidy looking unit. Gets 1 star because it's the worst to assemble. The so called snap lock system is far from being a snap. And the majority of the holes do not line up. Nearly every hole has to be redrilled so things can go together. I bought 2 sheds and then 2 different competent men assembled one shed each, independently of each other. Both had the same frustrating experience. The instruction video online is so misleading as to be almost laughable. In it, everything goes together just like that! And somewhere in your instructions please provide a realistic estimate of how long it will take to assemble. I was planning to buy several more of these sheds, but now I'm not too sure. I've got 2 guys who refuse to go anywhere near them, so looks like I'll have to spend a fortune to pay someone if I do, since just one of these small sheds takes almost all day to put together.

Great shed for us, but beware.
21 October 2022

Bought and assembled. It serves our purpose against a wall under a carport, but would not recommend this shed if exposed to wind and the elements; it will leak, the roof won't redirect the rain off it properly, and will need to be afixed to a wall or fence to be stable. But, it definitely works for us, because of where it lives. 1. This shed will require a cement pad or wooden floor. It does not come with anything. A wooden floor costs about the same as the shed. 2. This shed comes with a metal drill bit, as the latch needs to be drilled, but you will need it for heaps more drilling. 3. You will need a rivet driver to secure the door hinges. 4. Most of this small shed can be constructed by one person, including putting the roof on, but will need two once constructing the whole box to provide some pressure from the other side. It will take 4-5hours to construct. We didn't think it would take that long, but it did. 5. Other reviews are accurate that some prefab drill holes have not been drilled fully and sometimes they misalign. *Definitely check all panels for holes that are only partially drilled, prior to starting. 6. Additional holes will need to be drilled to increase the stability of the shed, but it comes with a ton of screws, so that's great.Overall, four stars from us as this shed works very well for us, because of the environment it's in and how we have secured it and how it's protected from the elements. But you get what you pay for.

It took two goes with customer service to rectify as they did not send all required missing parts first time around. Sarah and Charlotte from ABSCO assisted in resolving this.AssemblyRebated slab recommended in first part of manual but then ignored. Also anchor kit parts not suited to rebated slab, anchors too short and too close to the rebated edge.Door – distance between hinges pressed to door frame did not match holes pre drilled in door frame.General assembly – some parts hard to follow, with subtle details in diagrams. E.g. needing to place side wall behind corner door jamb – would have been easier to bend this edge to 90degrees before assembly.Interestingly, the Cap Gables (part 14A) were missing the ABSCO imprint.Middle hole in part 85A did not line up with hole in sheet 52A.Manuals could do with further proofing.Manual for 15151GK:Page 9: add “in pan” to end of note on Fit 81E.Page 11: screw symbols not shown on part 80A. Also the detail shows the edge of 29R extending out at 45 degrees, I found that in order to get this sheet edge behind 89B (as shown on page 15), this edge should be bent further inwards closer to 90 degrees, which would have been easier to do before this step.Page 12: This was a bit hard to follow the intention of the manual. Could do with notes drawing attention to which was top and bottom, the narrow pan on 34A, 89A sitting on top of 34A, and the 79C bottom edge sitting inside the 90C channel. Also the video said to use 20mm long screws in the two locations marked in the manual as “no screw”, the video made more sense to me on this point.Page 13: Video is clearer. Also flip panel over and add 4 screws in corners – use shallow head screws (not supplied) to minimise interference when door closes.Page 14: might be worth noting that the diagonal bracing should be skipped if using a CYC15 kit, and the door should only be riveted after box bracing. Detail in bottom left shows a double door picture that was of no help to the single door shed assembly. Also on the single door shed, the pad bolt protrudes past the edge of the shed when fully closed.Page 15: see comment from page 11 re 29R edge angle to fit behind 89B. Due to the 45 degree angle it is easy to get this wrong and end up with 29R outside 89B, at which point the pad bolts will not easily slide through the hasps as they collide with the 29R edge.Page 17: outer most screws shown did not align with punched holes. And now for the kicker: in spite of page 1 saying to make a rebated slab, the diagram at the bottom right of page 17 DOES NOT show a rebated slab. My experience was that the steel angles were too short to place the dynabolts safely away from the rebated edge, and I felt that the short length of the dynabolts would likely have caused the rebate edge to crack. So these parts went on the junk pile and I bought longer brackets and longer ankorscrews instead of dynabolts.Differences between video and printed manual. E.g. page 9, the screws marked “D” for drill are not mentioned in the video. Also on page 9, the detail view in the bottom left shows an overlap opposite to the video and the AR model.AR model was useful, gave a good impression of size of shed in yard. It was also useful reference when instructions were unclear. Would be better for this purpose if rendered with edge lines turned on.App was mostly just a gateway to manuals, AR model and the YouTube videos. It would have been better if it remembered my chosen product and colour, as I had to keep reselecting this every time I opened the app.CYC kit – manual was mostly ok, could do with a bit more clarity re rebated slab. I found that the tek screws worked better with pilot holes. Also found that it was easier to fix parts through wall from inside first with a couple of smaller temporary screws, then do the outside screws, then remove temp screws and replace with proper screws from outside. This allowed me to complete roof reinforcing beams solo.Page 5: I found that the screw spacing for “Install extra fasteners” required a bit of review: B as per diagram for standard kit, with extra screws on skipped pans for front and back. For 296mm centres, D was already as per diagram for standard kit, and E already had more screws than at 296mm centres.Page 6: “C” – instruction is to drill every pan, but I changed this to every ridge for better water tightness. Not sure if this matters that much.Page 7: Step 5 – screwed the boxed frame member together after fitting to the shed, for the inside faces only, as the outside face which is against the wall will have plenty of screws in it already. This avoids screws.Final impressionsNow that all of that is done, the end result is great. Very sturdy, rebated slab was great in recent very heavy rain. Glad I got the CYC kit given high wind loads in its location. Perfect fit inside for Rack-It 1290x530x1500 shelving even with the CYC kit. The CYC beams provide strong points for tool brackets.I have also added some foil tape to close up the holes under the eaves, and I’m planning to add a weather guard to the bottom of the door.

Really poor & confusing instructions
9 September 2022

Recently purchased the 3 door shed.Instructions are very confusing from the very first page. 4 different types of screws in pack... (Why not make them all the 16mm Phillips head or Tek screws with rubber washer?) They were different again from the ones that I received with the pack. ( Seemed to be extra pages in the pack ones, with extra parts required. The online ones had less pages and less parts for the exact same model shed?)Go figure. For a flat pack shed with all the holes pre drilled, half of the holes don't line up with any of the other holes. It is ridiculously hard to put together.Definitely doesn't help that there were multiple missing parts out of my packs.App needs a lot of work.Manual instructions need to match online instructions.I would suggest having/getting extra CSJ joiners in the pack for use when joining the roof sections together as they are pretty flimsy and could use the extra support.Good luck if you get one.

Simple, maybe too basic

I bought this to put up the side of the house. The shed is sold as 78cm deep. Not anywhere in the instructions nor on the website says that the shed cannot be installed hard against a wall - I made my slab 85cm front to back, then I built the walls, pushed it against the wall of the house then tried to put the roof on only to find that it sticks out behind the back wall by 5cm! I had to modify the roof so I can have the shed against the wall of my house! The next thing is that someone with a screw driver can undo several screws to gain access rendering the padbolt lock useless. I had to replace almost all of the screws with either bolts or rivets to slow an intruder down (yes, someone still can get into the shed with the right tools). The screws supplied to ... MoreI bought this to put up the side of the house. I had to replace almost all of the screws with either bolts or rivets to slow an intruder down (yes, someone still can get into the shed with the right tools). The screws supplied to install the hinge are the wrong size - the countersunk head are too large and don't fit the countersinking of the hinge. I had to replace these with different screws that fit. Most of the top and bottom rails are way too short. In every corner they don't meet - there is at least a 20mm gap where water can just pour in. There is approx. 10mm gap along the top and bottom of the door also. Why does the shed come with enough screws (220 of them) to build 3x sheds? So all in all, cost me around $5-$10 more in extra screws and rivets, but the item could have been $5 cheaper by only supplying enough screws for the one shed.

A best seller, this 3.0m x 3.0m shed is the quintessential garden shed. The depth and width ensure that it can store all your large household items, gardening equipment and power tools, while keeping them out of sight in your backyard. Doors are braced for added strength and a pad bolt included for additional security. Absco sheds are designed to be anchored to a concrete slab. Bolt down kits are included with this shed kit. Assembly is made easier with the help of pre-drilled holes and Absco’s patented SNAPTiTE technology that allows for panels to lock into channels without the need for screws. Absco recommends working at waist height using trestles and timbers for a faster build. 2-3 people are required to build sheds larger than 1.5 x 1.5m to assist with holding panels upright during the final construction. More people are required for larger structures. This app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play store.
