The automatic anti reverse does not work. The bail goes both directions causing the line to unravel and get tangled up.

Found out after opening the package that there is no switch to remove the anti-reverse. Can't imagine a spinning reel without one. The wife will use it, not me.

This in the reel LOOKS great! and that’s it!30 casts in i set the hook on a 2-3lb lgm bass, I get the fish about 3-4ft from shore and he flips, and just the little pressure blew the side plate off the bail arm, the spring holding it and whatever internals the controlled the bail arm are gone…the screw holding the side plate isn’t long enough to get a good bit on the threads…I contact Abu Garcia and they said they will mail me replacement parts to repair it myselfI have no interest in repairing this reel every 30-40 casts/1 fishI am returning this reelI know it’s a Walmart reel but jeez
The first one I bought the bail broke. The second on I bought the Handel fell off. This is the reel is junk. I’ll be returning it AGAIN
I am a new angler, freshwater. For price this is a reel well worth it. Capacity is great. Features for price is great. Only negative remark is that it is a bit on the heavy side as well as casting distance is a bit weak.
I find this product a great product quiality durability. Great for that task.

Bought this reel yesterday and it doesn't work properly. Jambs up and bail won't trip line
I bought this reel a few month ago, along with a Shimano reel. I have to say I prefer this reel over the Shimano (even though the Shimano cost double of this reel). Perhaps I am bias since my first reels were all Abu Garcia .
