the lock seems to work well but I would like it to be slightly longer as there are many instances where the narrow council bike racks are not available and larger objects need to be used.

I purchased this to replace an identical lock that was damaged during an attempted theft on my eBike. The good news is that, while they obviously gave it their best to destroy the lock, all they did was bend it a bit so that it no longer fits in the on-bike carry bracket but could not break it so I didn't lose my bike! It obviously does the intended job well so I replaced it with the same again.

The holder is fitting perfectly on the botle holder place and hold the lock well. The 1meter long "chain" has enough lenght to use it nearly everywhere. The steel plates are litle thin but this is level 7 lock, so if you want more safety buy a bigger one. The key and the lock are well, good quality.

It is beautiful, indeed. The colors are the main asset. And it is good quality. However, the design is not worked out completely and in the end it is not particularly convenient to use. For example, you cannot fold it to place it in the bag without actually locking it, which means that when you want to use it you will need to get your key out of your bag/pocket and first unlock it. An annoying waste of time. But my main complaint is about the placement of the keyhole. Since the block on which the keyhole is placed does not rotate once the lock is in use, you will have to bend over backwards to find on which one of the 4 edges you have to insert the key. If you lock your bike and do not make sure that the keyhole is facing up where you can actually see it, you will ... MoreIt is beautiful, indeed. The colors are the main asset. If you lock your bike and do not make sure that the keyhole is facing up where you can actually see it, you will need to get down on your fours to see the keyhole to be able to insert the key. When there are 10 bikes tangled together it's a nightmare. Not to mention that the lock is short so forget about chaining the bike to a tree or anything wider than a specifically designated metallic pole.
The lock has no button to release the locking mechanism, instead it requires you to pull really hard once you've entered your code which always seems to result in me cutting my knuckles as it releases. Buy another lock, I never want to use this one.
Folds up small. Quite light. Nice and portable. Does not take up much bag or pocket space. Surprisingly easy to fold and unfold, given the amount of links. At first the lock did not disengage well on opening, but i lubed the innards and its better.
Mounted the Bordo 5700 uGrip on my road bike, went out for a ride and two things happened: 1) It rattled over every bump and 2) I bunny hopped to get over a puddle and the center bars popped out of the holder. The holder has a spring loaded clamp (uGrip) and while it held secure, it doesn't encircle the bars. The lock was still attached, but the clamp arms only hold the bars on the outside of the folded unit—The inner bars can pop out if jarred.I also discovered that this unit has one fatal and absolutely unacceptable flaw—it can be opened in literally two seconds with a metal shim. Discovered that fact on the Lock-Picking Lawyer's YouTube channel.Returned this lock after one use.
As the mfg stated, low to medium theft risk. The convenience of a small U lock with the flexibility of an extra long U lock. Great for the grab and go stops. Lunches and even a movie.Definitely would not trust it in an overnight use. Also good for commuters who can lock up in a high visibility area.Attaches by strap for cage mounts. Would have liked to mount it on the underside cage mount, but the cables got in the way.Price is a bit steep compared to a mini U lock, but you are pay for flexibility.
Does absolutely nothing. Bike got stolen. Now I’m down a ton of money because of this cheap product. And the holder that you clip it too wears out after only a few months. If you hit a bump it flies out sometimes into traffic.I couldn’t recommend a worse product.
I’m not sure why there are negative reviews on this lock. I’ve been using this for several years now and it’s great. I like that it folds up and I’ve never had any issues with the vagrants trying to cut it and take off with my bike. I highly recommend it
