Quiet, good air flow, and very nicely made. The only scope for improvement that I see would be to make them mains powered, which I’m sure would raise the price quite a bit (owing mostly to agency approvals).
I can not say enough about how delighted I am with this product. It is easy to use, cools my system wonderfully and is very well made. I simply love it and will buy more in the future. Thanks for such a smart product!
Have 2 exhaust units running in my rack and the are great. Perfect fit, very pleasing design, clean visual appearance, and operate as per specs. Will most likely order more intake models for full complementary protection.
It is very well designed. The thermal probe works very well. It senses the temperature and is very responsive to temperature rises by stepping up the fan speed as needed. In my case, I am using it in a rack of equipment used for audio recording, so low noise is important. I am using just on unit (4 small fans in the 1U format. So far, the fans have not had to spin up to the louder speeds. If they do, then I will probably purchase a second unit so I can have more air flow at the lower fan speeds.
Bought this for an AV rack and so far is working great. You can't really hear the fans until it gets up to the higher speeds, but the higher speeds are very whiny so the sound carries really well. In my setup, the fans rarely kick on above the low end of the speed range so its not much of an issue, but could be for some.
I shopped around for rack fans and ended up with 2 exhaust fans and 2 inflow fan units for my broadcasting racks, easy installation, low noise fans, and niceto have the temperature probe sitting there and displaying real time temps in the racks.
