From the first spray I’m getting a blast of beautiful citruses AdP is known for, a perfect marriage of bergamot, grapefruit, lemon with a hint of pepper to spice things up. From there evolved into a much deeper and complex fragrance with some woods and vetiver, a nice clean vetiver. As the astringent opening mellows, clary sage mingles with the bitter grapefruit notes to create something special. Lavender is present, but not overpowering, and tbh my nose would love a bit more preeminent lavender accord. In the dry down the herbaceous notes perfectly merge with the bergamot to add some depth to the volatile citrus notes. Over time, the citrus fades and a restrained vetiver joins the mix, but I’m feeling it a bit different, deliciously smokey at the end of this beguilingly well blended AdP offering. This is one of the most natural smelling, clean, aromatic, well-balanced colognes I have ever had the pleasure to use. The lasting power is somewhere around 5 pushing to 6h with moderate projection and silage for max.2h within arm length. This is the modern men’s take on a cologne. It introduces natural ingredients that balance off of aromatics and mild citruses with a strong, aromatic backbone. I find the aromatics, make the fragrance, lean more masculine in a modern way. The sage, pepper, and possibly basil, allow it to distinguish itself from previous entries. The only downfall is that it does not last very long.

This is labeled as a unisex fragrance. It emphasizes the notes of lemon and grapefruit… it smells like sage. Like an old man. It is so powerfully and overwhelmingly herbal. While this may smell beautiful on someone it doesn’t on me. I felt mislead. I’ll be returning it.

Colonia Futura is very much a well thought-out, smooth vetiver scent, so not your traditional colonia based on citrus or soapy neroli notes.The opening is a bit misleading and comes across as really harsh. In fact I’m not even sure the citrus in the opening does the overall fragrance much justice. Luckily that aspect doesn’t last.Once the heart notes start pumping out, the fragrance smooths considerably and turns very green. Citrus lover for ADP

I am mostly a fan of muskier scents with a more amber sandalwood patchouli blend and wanted something a bit more fresh and striking. I got a sample of this and I just could not get enough. It’s very strong to start and bursts open with citrus notes then dries down to a smokier clary sage and vetiver. I love it and wear it mostly for special occasions.

Colonia Futura Eau De Cologne 180ml

I am now totally in love with this fragrance and confess to being addicted. It is the most wonderful scent I have ever had the pleasure of smelling! I am addicted to it now. It's not overly powerful or too strong, I love the woody smell and the citrus tones with the undertones of vetivert. I can't believe I managed to get it for the price I did when it's usually £150 for this size. I love it and can't say enough positive things about it!

The individual cologne packaging is excellent, a solid and compact cardboard outer casing with a small amount of cellophane to secure it in transit. The bottle fits neatly into the cardboard packaging, and actually it is an ideal place to store it as it prevents light affecting the fragrance. The bottle is, very tactile, easy to hold, fits neatly into the hand and has a nice weighty feel to it. It feels and looks like a quality product and looks good left on the shelf in the bathroom or bedroom dresser.The initial spray brings out the lemon scent, it is very clean fresh and uplifting to the senses. Surprising - citrusy, fresh, woodsy - grows on you!

I received a sample of this and wasn’t sure at first but you definitely get the initial citrus hit, then it becomes more herbal and finally woodsy. I do like light, flowery scents rather than musky strong perfumes, and ocean fresh but this is really unique and fresh in a different way. I generally do prefer more feminine fragrances but I like how clean and crisp this is. Would definitely recommend for people who want to try something different along these lines.

Wedding bliss

I purchased this in the John Lewis sale but was already a fan of AdP. This particular EDT wasn't opened until the day before my wedding although I already loved the scent. It was purchased in a set with a spray deodorant and shower gel. It smells fresh, crisp, excellent for the summer months, long lasting, and will always remind me of my wedding day whenever I, or the new Mrs H, smell it. Thoroughly recommend it as something that will garner compliments from all who come in close contact.
