Acure Brightening Glowing Serum (30ml)

was a product I started using in my mid 20s. At 32, I continue to keep a bottle of this serum. I credit this product for people thinking I'm 10 years younger than I am. My skin is oily and acne prone. After much experimentation and researching skin oils on the internet, I discovered that oils with a higher content of linoleic acid are complimentary to my skin type. A Bit Heavy and Does NOT Sink In!

I have been using the Brightening Super Green Serum, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. That said, I wanted to try something a bit more moisturizing, and I chose the Brightening Glowing Serum. The Brightening Glowing Serum is a heavier serum, and it is more moisturizing. It has a pleasant but pungent fragrence and is slightly amber in color. Unfortunately, it simply does not sink in quickly. If I use a few dropst at night, it needs literally a couple of hours to sink in or else it leaves a greasy spot on my pillowcase, even if I use a tissue to remove any excess. My skin seems to like it, but aesthetically, I do not.

I have maybe left a handful of reviews in my life and when I do leave a review it's generally because it was a poor product. But this is not the case here at all! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this product roughly 6 months ago! I'm 39 and I have combination skin that is also sensitive...both the dry and oily parts of my face love this stuff!! It feels really soothing and makes my skin feel so soft without clogging my pores or causing breakouts which I'm very susceptible too. This is the last product I put on after my BHA exfoliator, serum, eye cream and moisturizer. It definitely feels much more like a facial oil than a serum which is why it's the last step in my skin care routine. Since I've started using it'll the brightening serum, I no longer need to use a primer before applying foundation which is an added bonus. There's been a couple times I've skipped using the brightening serum in the morning because I was running late and I noticed a significant difference in how my face felt, how my makeup applied and the appearance of my makeup. Consequently, I'd rather be late to work than skip it lol!! I also love the glass bottle but I wish it was at least somewhat translucent to help see how much product is left...just a friendly suggested. This is a great product and I will continue to recommend it to everyone!!!

Breaks me out

I have tried to use this serum several times since buying it a year or so ago, and it breaks me out after one application every single time. I am surprised that I haven't seen anyone else with the same experience, which is why I decided to write a review now. I don't know what ingredient is doing it, but I can't use this serum on my face. I have started using it on my legs after shaving, and it works well for that. It also smells really nice!

Excellent!

The scent is lovely. The quality is great. One pump is more than enough for my face and gives a glowy look. I probably don't recommend use under makeup (for oily skin) but may work if you have dry skin. I mixed the Serum with a liquid foundation and it did look nice but because I have combination skin, the t-zone area looked more oily than glowy. Great for when your skin needs extra hydration.

Great product that compares to a high priced brand

I am so impressed with this product. I had been using a similar type serum from a more luxury brand and have been trying to find something lower priced that works just as well. My long search is over! This serum really evens out my skin tone and plumps it up a little bit. Light scent and feels lovely on my skin.

Heavy Facial Oil, Not Serum Consistency

I usually layer my face products serum first, then facial oil, and moisturizer on top. After applying this, no other products blend well on top. The consistency is that of a heavy oil that sits on top of your skin without sinking in. The use of the word "serum" in the title is a misnomer; the Brightening Super Greens Serum has a serum consistency, but this Brightening Glowing Serum does not. I would not recommend this for people with oily skin; my skin is dry, and even I thought this was too heavy. I will not repurchase this; if I want a heavy oil, I prefer the Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil. The couple of things I did like about this oil are that it smells fabulous and it is moisturizing, but other than that, I did not notice any improvements to my skin.

Hi, I have been struggling with dry facial skin and some mouth lines and crows feet. Well, I guess at nearly 67, this is normal. What I can tell you is that I have ditched a very expensive face moisturizer in favor of mixing this Glowing Serum and their Acure Night Cream mixed together with 2 drops of Young Living Frankincense Oil. After only a few nights, I could tell a huge difference!! LOVE THIS STUFF!! It makes my face feel so soft and my skin looks even healthier than before when I was using the other more expensive product that contained essential oils plus I orginally used Jojoba Oil with it. THIS new system with ACURE products is even better! :-)

Yes , yes and yes!

This product is amazing!!! I was kind of nervous because I knew nothing about this product. Ulta was having a buy 1 get second half off. I was looking at a face scrub to brighten my skin. The face scrub is in this brand as well is really good. So at first the serum feels kind of greasy but once it absorbs it's amazing. My skin feels so soft. There's better ingredients in this as well. Kind of smells like pumpkin seeds. There are pumpkin, cranberry and other ingredients. I also bought the hippie brand vitamin c serum not too long ago. It's great as well. But I can honestly say I love this one way better! Plus it's almost 15 bucks cheaper then hippie brand.
