My feet are incredibly average. If I order a 9.5, in any shoe style, it will generally fit and feel fine. Frankly, I'm not that picky, most shoes are great these days—like stock car stereos? At 50 years old, this is the first shoe I had to return because they would not hold my heel down. They look killer, and on paper they should have worked. I cannot explain it. I have had many pairs of Adidas over the years.

Wears very much like a hiking boot without ankle support. Rugged sole with good grip on rocks and water resistant. Breathable for summer hiking on rough terrain for those that don't like high ankle boots. Personally in hiking shoes I prefer something more versatile that can be worn on lighter terrain, around town, or doing other activities as well. For rough terrain I would use a classic boot. This is strictly a rough hiking shoe. It's stiff and solid sole doesn't work well for lighter shoe activities and is not comfortable as a day to day shoe. Definitely not a replacement for real trail running shoes. If you are looking for the niche rugged hiking shoe this is perfect, anything broader category should look elsewhere.

These shoes have been amazing. They’ve handled everything I’ve thrown at them from a two-week trip in the Pacific Northwest, rainy days walking in the city, and icy & slush trails in the park. Surefooted on uneven terrain, and always have traction no matter the surface conditions. Completely waterproof, but not heavy or uncomfortable. In fact they’re quite comfortable for extended wear walking or hiking.

I've owned and been delighted with many of the Adidas Terrex GTX shoes for years. Their shows are always comfortable, work great for daily wear and hiking. This is my first pair of the Swift R3 design which we're just as awesome as previous Terrex shoes until the material failed. After 4 months both shoes have split their outer material where the show articulates. The split has happened along the edge of where the fabric and the pre-sole bonded polymer meet. I was really in love with this updated Terrex model until the material or design flaw appeared after 4 months. Won't repurchase unless they address this issue.
I bought this shoe last week. Wore them to work to break them in, then the next day, did a 10 mile hike in Marin Headlands. The shoes are pretty stiff, but had phenomenal traction for climbing, especially on wet slippery rocks. These shoes felt very comfortable during the climbing/uphill portions of the hike.BUT I’m immediately returning them because they destroyed my toes going downhill. Especially my pinky toe. There is no room in the tow box for your foot to expand laterally. This was very obviously felt when trying to lightly jog down hill. If the tow box was wider, these would be great shows.I previously used LA Sportiva bushidos (for 3 years) which were a god send. I will be going back to those.
Super squeaky soles. Was too much for me. They looked great but that sound indoors.... It was a deal breaker for me. Yeah I know you dont always wear it inside and it is an outdoor shoe but I dont want to walk into a room or hotel and have everyone turn around and stare at me. It was bad!
They are rugged like boots but light like running shoes. These shoes have the stiff arch support that I need for plantar fasciitis. Lots of protection for warm weather trails. Love em.
I think the sizing is good, light weight, solid build, nice toe protection. It doesn't get 5 because once water gets in, it's a sloth fest and you have to take shoes off and ring out socks and, it's good at keeping some water out, but once it gets in... Hard to complain about slipping on a smooth wet surface, but I have had better traction in that regard. Still very happy with this purchase. Also think this makes a good work shoe! Did 80 miles in 4 days with this guys
Shipping to Eastern US took about a week and a half and was a painless process. The shoes fit a bit small from what I've found so go half a size up. I use these for disc golfing so the waterproofing with Gore-tex and the Continental tread these are tanks. In hindsight I should've bought the over the ankle ones! This was the lowest price I've found, will purchase from here again.
I loved the look of these online and especially in person, they’re beautiful. Unfortunately, there are three major concerns I noticed immediately that continually got worse.1.) The shoe runs at least 1 full size large. I always wear a 10.5 in Addidas and they fit perfect, these felt like an 11.5.2.) Heel slippage, this was exasperated by the larger fit but My heel continually slipped up during my hike. I’ve seen this issue though on almost every review on Amazon.3.) A lack of padding on the top outline of the shoe. This causes absurd amount of debris to get into the shoe while in use and it not comfortable.Another smaller issue is the plastic feel of the shoe. I’m sure it lasts a long time but your foot may not.I don’t recommend these
